Co0.4Ni0.5Zn0.1Fe2O4 nanoparticles were synthesized by using the co-precipitation method with the various synthesis temperature (50, 70, 90, 110, and 130 °C) and constant concentration of NaOH (3 M). Characterization of Co0.4Ni0.5Zn0.1Fe2O4 magnetic nanoparticles was conducted by XRD and TEM to analyze particle size, crystal structure, and the morphology. In addition, FTIR characterization was carried out to determine the vibration mode of Co0.4Ni0.5Zn0.1Fe2O4 magnetic nanoparticles. The diffraction pattern showed that Co0.4Ni0.5Zn0.1Fe2O4 nanoparticles had a spinel cubic crystal structure. Moreover, XRD analysis showed that the crystallinity improved by adding the synthesis temperature. The lattice parameters at temperature of 90 °C was 8.270 Å, and there was no drastic difference compared to other samples. Based on TEM characterization, the grain size of Co0.4Ni0.5Zn0.1Fe2O4 nanoparticles at temperature 90°C was 15.32 nm. Meanwhile the absorption peak of the octahedral and tetrahedral sites in Co0.4Ni0.5Zn0.1Fe2O4 nanoparticles were at the 465.5 cm−1 and 674.2 cm−1, respectively. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Ni0.4Zn0.5Co0.1Fe2O4 nanoparticles were synthesized with good result using the co-precipitation method with the different concentration of NaOH coprecipitant. The synthesis was carried out at a synthesis temperature of 90oC and the concentration of NaOH was varied by 3 M, 5 M, 7 M, 9 M and 12 M. X-ray Diffraction (XRD) and Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM) was used to analyze structural and morphological properties of Ni0.4Zn0.5Co0.1Fe2O4 nanoparticles. The crystallite size of Ni0.4Zn0.5Co0.1Fe2O4 nanoparticles calculated by the Scherrer equation decreased in size with increasing NaOH concentration. The lattice parameters of Ni0.4Zn0.5Co0.1Fe2O4 nanoparticles with 5 M NaOH concentration of 8.382 with high crystallinity. The resulting diffraction pattern is a cubic spinel structure with a single phase at the highest diffraction peak of 35.5o (311). Vibration bands in Ni0.4Zn0.5Co0.1Fe2O4 nanoparticles based on variations in NaOH concentration were obtained through Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) analysis which resulted in the formation of metal ion vibrational bands. The absorption peak of the octahedral site was investigated at 487.14 cm−1, while the absorption of the tetrahedral site was placed at 689.3 cm−1. Fe3O4/Ag nanocomposite has been successfully synthesized by the coprecipitation method using natural iron sand and Psidium guajava extract. The Fe3O4/Ag Psidium guajava extract nanocomposite was characterized using XRD, FTIR, SEM, and antibacterial tests. The structure of Fe3O4/Ag Psidium guajava extract was determined from the XRD pattern which showed at the highest diffraction peak of Fe3O4 at 2θ = 35.6° and the highest diffraction peak of Ag at 2θ = 38.2°. The lattice parameters of Fe3O4 and Ag nanoparticles were 8.363 Å and 4.086 Å, respectively. The tetrahedral and octahedral Fe-O vibrations were detected at wavenumbers of 713 cm−1 and 507 cm−1. While the Ag-Ag and Psidium guajava functional groups were not detected. Based on the antibacterial activity test against E. coli, the resulted in a good diameter of the inhibition zone. ZnO/Ag solution has been successfully prepared using the sol-gel method. The coating of the material has been carried out on a glass substrate by the spray coating method. The deposition has been successfully carried out on a glass substrate. A perfectly deposited ZnO/Ag thin film has been obtained. Seeing the photocatalytic properties of the ZnO/Ag thin film to decompose the Malachite Green (M.G) pollutant is the aim of this research. ZnO/Ag thin film will increase the contact area between ZnO/Ag thin film and the polluted solution. Materials were characterized using XRD for phase analysis. Bond vibration analysis was tested by FTIR. SEM test to see the morphology of the ZnO/Ag thin film. Optic properties test is also carried out to determine the transmittance and absorbance of the material. The use of a solar simulator is very interesting as a light source used for photocatalytic testing of ZnO/Ag thin films against Malachite Green. Then, analysis of the results of photodegradation of dye waste using solar simulator test. The photodegradation test was carried out at 10 ppm M.G for 120 minutes. The result of photodegradation using ZnO thin films are 46%. Then photodegradation was also carried out using ZnO/Ag thin films are 55 %. Reuse the same ZnO/Ag thin films are 88 %. This paper describes the microstructural properties included the average particle diameter of Co0.8Ni0.2Fe2O4 nanoparticles with Williamson-Hall (W-H) method. The Co0.8Ni0.2Fe2O4 nanoparticles have been successfully synthesized by coprecipitation technique with the various high annealing temperatures. Based on the XRD analysis, Co0.8Ni0.2Fe2O4 nanoparticles had a single phase with the spinel cubic structure. The crystallite size and lattice strain were studied by W-H method using Uniform Deformation Model (UDM). This model was in line with Scherrer's formula. Hyperthermia therapy is one of the more effective in vivo cancer treatment methods to minimize regular tissue damage than surgery and chemotherapy. It can be carried out using natural materials. One of the potential raw material is Fe3O4 nanomagnetic particle. In this study, Fe3O4 nanomagnetic particle-based ferrogel was developed using surface modification strategy, rare-earth elements doping addition, and flexible matrix utilization to identify its application potential as a hyperthermia therapy agent. The ferrogel was fabricated through the Freezing-Thawing method for three cycles using PVP/PVA based hydrogel matrix and filler from Fe3O4 nanoparticle with Gd doping that has been synthesized using the coprecipitation method. The results of XRD characterization indicate a diffraction peak shift toward the smaller diffraction angle than Fe3-xGdxO4-PEG nanoparticle, with the crystalline size of around 10.7-12.04 nm. Meanwhile, FTIR characterization results confirm that the sample has Gd-O-Fe functional groups at about 628.79-698.23 cm−1 wavenumber. At the same time, the results of SEM characterization reveal that the samples of Fe3O4−PEG, Fe2.99Gd0.01O4-PEG, and Fe2.95Gd0.05O4−PEG have the spherical morphological form with an average particle size of 53.8, 82.5, and 110 nm, respectively. The Magneto-Thermal characterization results on the Fe2.95Gd0.05O4-PEG/PVP/PVA sample demonstrate an increase of thermal properties and SAR value, following the escalation of filler concentration. Zinc oxide nanorods/Graphene (ZnO NRs/Gr) were synthesized using an easy and fast method; spray for ZnO seed and graphene deposition and hydrothermal for ZnO NRs. The sample was varied by using different ZnO seed precursor of 0.1 M, 0.2 M, and 0.3 M. We found that the greater the concentration of ZnO led to a decrease in porosity, accompanied by an increase in the water contact angle of 150°, 153°, and 155°. The XRD results confirmed that there was no shift in the ZnO peak, which indicated that there was no significant structural change due to the lattice strain. UV-Vis analysis obtained a band gap of ∼3.4 eV and an excited state of ∼4 eV. Based on the results obtained, ZnO NRs/Graphene can be a promising waterproof coating material on cotton fabrics.
