Abstract

Tetracycline hydrochloride (TCN), widely recognized for its broad-spectrum efficacy and cost-effectiveness as an antibiotic, has raised significant environmental and health concerns due to its contamination in water bodies. This study introduces an innovative approach to address this issue by employing a titanium dioxide/graphitic carbon nitride (TiO2/g-C3N5) nanocomposite through photocatalysis. The synthesis of this composite involved a hydrothermal method, and a comprehensive characterization was conducted using XRD, FT-IR, and SEM techniques. The formed heterojunction between TiO2 and g-C3N5 exhibited remarkable photocatalytic degradation capabilities, achieving a removal rate of over 85 % within a short period of 135 min. This signifies the composite's efficiency in breaking down TCN in aqueous environments. Beyond its high effectiveness, the TiO2/g-C3N5 nanocomposite presents itself as an environmentally friendly and sustainable solution for addressing the critical issues associated with antibiotic contamination in water. This study underscores the potential of photocatalysis using TiO2/g-C3N5 as a promising technology for mitigating the adverse effects of TCN on both ecosystems and human health. Abstract

Triboelectric nanogenerators (TENGs) have become reliable green energy harvesters by converting biomechanical motions into electricity. However, the inevitable charge leakage and poor electric field (EF) of conventional TENG result in inferior tribo‐charge density on the active layer. In this paper, TiO2‐MXene incorporated polystyrene (PS) nanofiber membrane (PTMx NFM) charge trapping interlayer is introduced into single electrode mode TENG (S‐TENG) to prevent electron loss at the electrode interface. Surprisingly, this charge‐trapping mechanism augments the surface charge density and electric output performance of TENGs. Polyvinylidene difluoride (PVDF) mixed polyurethane (PU) NFM is used as tribo‐active layer, which improves the crystallinity and mechanical property of PVDF to prevent delamination during long cycle tests. Herein, the effect of this double‐layer capacitive model is explained experimentally and theoretically. With optimization of the PTMx interlayer thickness, S‐TENG exhibits a maximum open‐circuit voltage of (280 V), short‐circuit current of (20 µA) transfer charge of (120 nC), and power density of (25.2 µW cm−2). Then, this energy is utilized to charge electrical appliances. In addition, the influence of AC/DC EF simulation in wound healing management (vitro L929 cell migration, vivo tissue regeneration) is also investigated by changing the polarity of trans‐epithelial potential (TEP) distribution in the wounded area. Abstract

Quasi‐2D(two dimentional) perovskite is one of the potential materials in optoelectronic applications due to the scalable solution processes and low binding energy. Recent studies employing diverse spacer ligands of mono‐ and di‐amine functional groups to form Ruddlesden‐Popper (RP) and Dion‐Jacobson (DJ) phase perovskites efficiently manipulate the perovskite microstructure. However, there is a notable gap in investigating the performance of photomemory devices based on perovskites using different ligands and the accommodability in polymer matrixes. Herein, the perovskite with phenethylammonium bromide (PEABr) or p‐xylylenediamine (PDMA) ligands and methacrylate polymers comprising varied pendent groups (benzene and pyrene) are designed to investigate their effect. The results show that RP‐phase perovskite with polymer‐conferred pyrene group presented an excellent crystalline orientation, fewer grain boundaries, and higher charge transfer efficiency, attributed to superior accommodation between ligands and polymers and appropriate aggregation of pyrene groups. It demonstrates superior memory device characteristics of a high ON/OFF current ratio (2.68 × 104), low operational voltage (−0.1 V), short illumination times (0.1 s), and maintains its decent performance even under thermal environments. This work highlights that leveraging the steric hindrance of ligands and functional polymers to control the microstructure of perovskite is a prospective strategy to promote the photomemory's development. Abstract

Currently, wide‐color gamut perovskite light‐emitting diodes (PeLEDs) are commonly controlled through halide composition tuning. However, the formation of perovskite crystals involving different ion radii of halogens often results in structural fragility and ionic defects, leading to emission instability during operation. This study showcases a novel approach to achieving a homogeneous and low‐defect crystalline state by regulating the thermodynamic nucleation mechanism of sky‐blue perovskite, thereby enhancing emission stability. Utilizing oxygen‐plasma treatment, a highly uniform surface energy is ensured for the nickel oxide acting as a hole transport layer. This treatment not only induces homogeneous nucleation of the perovskite layer but also effectively suppresses crystal defects. Simultaneously, the uniform surface energy alleviates halide phase separation caused by Ostwald ripening. Upon optimizing the fabrication conditions for sky‐blue perovskite, the resulting PeLEDs, featuring an electroluminescent peak at 486 nm, attain a luminance of 1125.3 cd m−2 with exceptional electroluminescent stability and a T50 lifetime. Furthermore, gaining insights into the thermodynamic nucleation mechanism in mix‐halides and perovskites contributes to the advancement of research on sky‐blue PeLEDs and offers valuable perspectives for future development.
