Thirty-seven genotypes of coriander including six check varieties were analyzed for variability, correlation, path coefficients, and genetic divergence. Genotypes were grown in RBD with three replications and observations were recorded for 13 different quantitative traits. Secondary branches per plant and total oil content confirmed high values of GCV and PCV. Seeds per umbel, test weight, and total oil content exhibited high heritability along with high GA (% of mean). Both genotypically and phenotypically, seed yield per plant exhibited a positive and significant association with umbels per plant, umbellates per umbel, test weight, and harvest index. On seed yield per plant, umbels per plant reported the highest positive direct effect. Genetic diversity analysis grouped the 37 coriander genotypes into 6 different clusters with the maximum inter-cluster distance seen between clusters III and VI. Among the thirteen traits, test weight contributed largely to the total genetic divergence.

Anthropogenic activities are causing a rapid increase in global carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions, which significantly contribute to global warming. Microalgae can be a sustainable solution for simultaneous wastewater treatment and sequestering CO2 through photosynthesis. The current study reports a comparative evaluation of Spirulina sp. microalgal biomass growth and lipid productivity during its cultivation supplied with air and biogas from an anaerobic digester. It was observed that there was a 4-fold increase in biomass productivity in the reactor sparged with biogas compared to air supply. The reactor sparged with biogas showed a significant increase in lipid content. This increase in biomass productivity could be attributed to the increased availability of CO2, favoring algal growth.

Scanning tunneling microscopy (STM)/scanning tunneling spectroscopy (STS) of titanium dioxide nanoparticulate film on Au(1 1 1) surface is carried out yielding topography, I–V, dI/dV versus V and normalized dI/dV versus V. Isolated nanoparticles were found to exhibit semiconducting behavior with a band gap which varies from 1 to >3.0 eV depending on the nature of substrate/nanoparticle/tip junction formation. Increase in the particulate density resulted into change in tunneling behavior from semiconducting to metallic as characterized by decrease in non-linearity in I–V curves and increase in average tunneling conductance. The results are discussed in terms of presence of adsorbed complexes on defect structure of TiO2 surface for low coverage and availability of additional transport paths between the particles at high coverage. Abstract: Objective: To developing and exploring the use of PEGylated poly (propylene imine) dendritic architecture for the delivery of an anti leukemic activity of Prednisolone. Methods: For this study, PEGylated poly (propylene imine) dendritic architecture was synthesized and loaded with Prednisolone and targeted to the ascetic form of myelogenous leukemia k-562 cellines in hybrid mice BDF1, was used as tumor model. The antileukemic activity was assessed by use of the criterion T/C %, where T was the mean survival time (MST, days) of the drug treated mice, bearing k-562 leukemia and C – the mean survival time (MST, days) of untreated control animals, bearing the same leukemia cellines. Results: An antileukemic activity of the studied Prednisolone loaded PEGylated Polypropyleneimine (PPI) dendrimer was found to have increasing the mean survival time of the k-562 myelogenous leukemia cellines bearing BDF1 mice. The criterion “increase of life span” (ILS%) reached maximally 270.1% for the drug loaded dendrimer. Conclusion: The studied dendrimer with Prednisolone showed lower toxicity with improved antileukemic activity in comparison with free Prednisolone. Abstract: Objective: To develop and explore the use of PEGylated poly (propylene imine) dendritic architecture for the delivery of an anti bacterial bioactive, Trimethoprim. Methods: For this study, PEGylated poly(propylene imine) dendritic architecture was synthesized and loaded with Trimethoprim and targeted to the resistant producing strains of both gram positive and gram negative. The antibacterial activity was carried out by agar well-diffusion method to compare zone of inhibition with standard drug and plain PPI dendrimer. Results: The study showed that the Trimethoprim loaded dendrimer has significant antibacterial activity than the plain PPI dendrimer, but standard drug was not shown zone of inhibition upon both microorganisms but Klebsiella pneumoniae (K. pneumoniae) the pure drug showed activity. Conclusions: In this study antibacterial activity of synthesized system is also relatively safer and holds potential to deliver any other antibacterial agent to the resistant producing strains.
