It is evident that inducing visitors to revisit the tourist destinations and resorts, where they stay, is an important way of smoothening out revenue generation for tourism firms rather than attracting new tourists using costly advertisement and marketing strategies. This revelation has paved the way for an array of Revisit Intention studies in the field of tourism. Many such studies regard the revisit intention (RI) of tourists as a binary variable that is with two outcomes viz--yes, having to revisit intention or No. Distinct from this, this study enquires into the revisit intention by categorizing this into three: Tourists with High Revisit Intention (HRI), Moderate Revisit Intention (MRI), and No Revisit Intention (NRI). Drawing on data collected from 120 College going students visiting Goa Beaches, the study reveals that most tourists have a revisit intention. Apart from this, the study also proves that the revisit intention of tourist is dependent on factors like cleanliness and unpolluted nature of the beaches, service quality of the staff in resorts, and the quality of accommodation, safety, and security (SnS) of beaches and resorts, and finally, the feeling of a consumers' surplus (Visitors' Surplus). This study aims to define the changing pattern of land use and its geo-environmental impacts on the semi-arid region of Anantapur district of AP state, India. Satellite imageries were analysed to perceive the variations in land use and land cover in the past 9 years from 2010 to 2019. RS and GIS modelling has helped in the mapping of land use and land cover changes. The study has assumed five characteristic features, they are (i) Waterbodies, (ii) Vegetation, (iii) Fallow land, (iv) Cultivation lands, and (v) Degraded lands. The results reveal that, from 2010 to 2019, there is a decrease in water bodies, vegetation and fallow lands of 6.75 km2, 42.96 km2 and 105.45 km2 respectively. While cultivation lands and degraded lands increased to 4.7 km2 and 105.45 km2 respectively. The environmental ecosystem is disturbed due to the increase in degraded lands, thus making the study area turn into a desert. Normalized Differential Vegetation Index (NDVI) and Soil Adjusted Vegetation Index (SAVI) are very useful for the accuracy assessment of vegetation, cultivation land and waterbodies in this LULC change detection studies. Introduction: Cervical cancer-related deaths among women in India are often due to late diagnosis of disease. Knowledge about disease and early screening is the most effective measure for cervical cancer prevention. Lack of awareness, negative attitude, and poor practice about cervical cancer and screening are the major causes to increase the incidence of disease.Aim: The study is designed to assess knowledge, attitude, and practice (KAP) toward cervical cancer, screening, and prevention.Settings and Design: A cross-sectional, hospital-based survey was conducted in women attending Obstetrics and Gynecology Department of a secondary care referral hospital.Materials and Methods: A total of 403 subjects were enrolled and subjected for interview using prevalidated KAP questionnaire on cervical cancer.Statistical Analysis: Descriptive statistics were used to represent the sociodemographic characteristics and KAP levels. Association of sociodemographic variables with KAP levels is determined using Chi-square test.Results and Discussion: Most of (301; 74.6%) the respondents had heard about cervical cancer and majority of them are heard from media (168; 41.6%) and friends (83; 20.5%). Most women knew symptoms (259; 64.2%), risk factors (253; 62.7%), screening methods (310; 76.9%), and preventive measures (249; 61.7%) for cervical cancer. More than half of the women (252; 62.5%) having positive attitude toward screening. More than three-fourth of women (349; 86.6%) are not having practice toward cervical cancer screening. Sociodemographic characteristics are strongly associated with KAP levels.Conclusion: Although women are having good knowledge, positive attitude toward cervical cancer screening and prevention still there is a gap to transform it into practice. There is a need for more educational programs to connect identified knowledge slits and uplift of regular practice of cervical cancer screening. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
