Abstract

B Methods: b This multicenter, retrospective, observational cohort study evaluated adult patients who met SEPSIS-3 criteria of septic shock receiving norepinephrine prior to subsequent addition of either hydrocortisone or vasopressin from December 2015-August 2021. B Introduction: b Significant practice variation exists when selecting between hydrocortisone and vasopressin as a second line agent in patients with septic shock on escalating doses of norepinephrine. B Conclusions: b Addition of hydrocortisone to norepinephrine was associated with a lower 28-day mortality in patients with septic shock compared to addition of vasopressin.
