Plasma synthesis by ethanol decomposition in microwave atmospheric torch is a simple, efficient, single-step scalable method suitable for volume production of graphene nanosheets. In our work, we studied influence of microwave power on several plasma parameters (e.g. gas temperature, concentration of active species) by optical emission spectroscopy (OES), Fourier transform infrared spectrometry (FTIR) and mass spectrometry (MS) to better understand the process of precursor decomposition and graphene formation in the gas phase. We observed significant change in kinetics and influence of input power on ethanol decomposition routes. Results were compared with theoretical model comprising hydrodynamics, plasma, heat transfer and chemical kinetics., Plazmová syntéza rozkladem etanolu v mikrovlnném atmosférickém hořáku je jednoduchá, účinná, jednokroková a škálovatelná metoda vhodná pro objemovou produkci grafenových nanovrstev. V naší práci jsme studovali vliv mikrovlnného výkonu na různé parametry plazmatu (např. teplotu plynu, koncentraci aktivních částic) pomocí optické emisní spektroskopie (OES), infračervené spektrometrie s Fourierovou transformací (FTIR) a hmotnostní spektrometrie (MS), s cílem lépe porozumět procesu rozkladu prekurzoru a tvorby grafenu v plynné fázi. Pozorovali jsme výraznou změnu v kinetice a vliv vstupního výkonu na rozkladné směry etanolu. Výsledky byly porovnány s teoretickým modelem zahrnujícím hydrodynamiku, plazma, přenos tepla a chemickou kinetiku

Nanomaterials are structures whose exceptionality is based on their large surface, which is closely connected with reactivity and modification possibilities. Due to these properties nanomaterials are used in textile industry (antibacterial textiles with silver nanoparticles), electronics (high-resolution imaging, logical circuits on the molecular level) and medicine. Medicine represents one of the most important fields of application of nanomaterials, Nanomateriály jsou struktury, jejichž výjimečnost spočívá v jejich velké ploše, která úzce souvisí s reaktivitou a modifikační možnosti. Vzhledem k těmto vlastnostem se nanomateriály používají v textilním průmyslu (antibakteriální textilie s nanočásticemi stříbra), elektronice (vysoké rozlišení obrazu, logické obvody na molekulární úrovně) a lékařství. Medicína představuje jednu z nejdůležitějších oblastí použití nanomateriálů.

Cílem této práce je studium procesů probíhajících během depozice organokřemičitanových tenkých vrstev formou plazmové polymerace. Tenké vrstvy se v poslední době staly nejrozšířenějším způsobem povrchových úprav materiálů. Používají se jako ochranné a funkční vrstvy, mohou zvyšovat nebo snižovat adhezi k různým sloučeninám (např. k vodě), nebo jen zlepšit mechanické vlastnosti silnějších materiálů. Plazmové polymery, které nejsou známy moc dlouho, jsou moderním trendem ve vývoji depozice tenkých vrstev. Vykazují perfektní adhezi k substrátu a jsou vysoce odolné vůči většině chemikálií. Jejich struktura je poměrně odlišná od struktury klasických polymerů. V poslední době se jako prekurzory plazmových polymerů začaly používat organokřemičitany, protože křemík zabudovaný v jejich struktuře umožňuje depozici tenkých vrstev na skleněný substrát a organická část monomeru nám nabízí nekonečné možnosti modifikací. V našem případě jsme jako monomer použili dimethylfenylsilan (DMPS). Diagnostiku plazmatu jsme prováděli optickou emisní spektrometrií indukčně vázaného plazmatu a v jednom případě i kapacitně vázaného plazmatu. Touto metodou je možno stanovit složení plazmatu během depozičního procesu. A tím můžeme podle vstupních parametrů předpovědět i složení deponované tenké vrstvy. Z relativních populací jednotlivých fragmentů jsme schopni zjistit optimální nastavení pro depoziční proces. Je také možno spočítat teploty částic v plazmatu, což nám podá informace o energiích těchto částic. První část této studie se zabývá identifikací částic (fragmentů), které vznikly při fragmentaci monomeru v prostředí plazmatu. Ve spektrech jsme úspěšně identifikovali atomární čáry vodíku Balmerovy série. Byla detekována rovněž řada rotačních čar molekulového vodíku. Atomární uhlík se objevil pouze v malém množství. Daleko více uhlíku bylo zjištěno ve formě CH radikálu. Byly zachyceny i slabé čáry atomárního křemíku. Při použití směsi DMPS s kyslíkem byly ve spektrech přítomny i OH radikál a, The aim of this thesis is a study of processes during organosilicone thin film deposition via plasma polymerization. Recently, thin films are the most expanding way of surface modification of materials. They are used as protective coatings, functional layers, they can increase or decrease adhesion to different compounds (e.g. water), or just improve mechanical properties of bulk materials. Plasma polymers, which are not known so long, are a modern trend in evolution of thin film deposition. They have perfect adhesion to the substrate and they are highly resistant against most of chemical compounds. Their structure is quite different from the structure of classical polymers. Recently, organosilicon compounds are used as precursors for plasma polymers because silicon built in the structure of plasma polymer allows thin film deposition on glass substrate and the organic part of monomer gives us infinite possibilities of modification. In our case dimethylphenylsilane (DMPS) was used as a monomer. Various RF low pressure discharges were used during this study. Plasma diagnostic was performed by optical emission spectroscopy of inductive coupled plasma. This method allows us to determine plasma composition during the deposition process. Thus we can predict the composition of deposited thin film according to input parameters. From relative populations of fragments we are able to find out optimal conditions for deposition process. We can also calculate temperature of particles in plasma which gives us some information about particle energies. The first part of the study deals with the identification of particles (fragments) created by fragmentation of monomer in plasma environment. We successfully identified hydrogen atomic lines of Balmer’s series in the spectra. Many rotational lines of hydrogen molecule were also detected. Atomic carbon occurred only in small amount. Studium plazmatu generovaného v čistém dusíku a dohasínání tohoto plazmatu je předmětem mnoha set prací, které přináší celou řadu informací o kinetických procesech a reakcích přenosu excitační energie. Zvláštní postavení má jev označovaný jako „pink afterglow“. Jak z experimentálního tak i z teoretického studia plazmochemických procesů se zjistilo, že řada procesů je citlivá právě na složení plazmatu, a to již za velmi nízkých koncentrací, a na další experimentální podmínky (tlak ve výbojové trubici, teplota, atd.). Proto je nutné tyto procesy podrobně studovat. V experimentální části práce bylo použito stejnosměrného výboje (vzdálenost dutých molybdenových elektrod 12 cm, výkon přibližně 290 ± 10 W) v proudícím režimu. Výboj byl generován v Pyrexové trubici v čistém dusíku a ve směsi dusíku s argonem v širokém rozmezí koncentrací. Celkový tlak byl měněn v rozsahu od 500 Pa do 5000 Pa. Emisní spektra dohasínajícího plazmatu byla měřena pomocí optického spektrometru „TRIAX 550“ s CCD detektorem v rozmezí vlnových délek od 320 do 780 nm. Ze změřených intenzit jednotlivých spektrálních pásů prvního (N2 (B 3g) N2 (A 3u+)) a druhého (N2 (C 3u) N2 (B 3g)) pozitivního a prvního negativního (N2+ (B 2u+) N2+ (X 2g+) systému dusíku byly vypočteny relativní vibrační populace na jednotlivých hladinách. Byly sestrojeny závislosti intenzit jednotlivých systémů na čase dohasínání, relativních vibračních populací na koncentraci argonu a tlaku. Ze získaných závislostí je zřejmé, že při nízkém tlaku byl jev pink afterglow poměrně úzký a s rostoucím tlakem se maximum vyzařování posouvalo k pozdějším časům. Současně se jeho trvání podstatně prodlužovalo. Stejný efekt byl pozorován s nárůstem koncentrace argonu ve směsi. Při nejvyšší koncentraci argonu, zvláště při nízkém tlaku, jev pink afterglow zcela vymizel. V budoucnosti bude nezbytné pokračovat ve studiu procesů, protože jejich znalost může dát řešení všech kinetických reakcí v plazmatu a toho může být použito v plazmochemii a při, The study of plasmas generated in pure nitrogen and their afterglows are a subject of many hundreds works bringing a lot of information about the kinetic processes and energy transfer reactions. The effect of nitrogen pink afterglow has a specific position among the other kinds of discharges and post-discharges. The post-discharge, and especially the pink afterglow, is extremely sensitive to the presence of various impurities and experimental conditions (total gas pressure in a discharge tube, temperature, etc.) because of their significant influence on all kinetic processes. That is the reason, why it is so important to study this processes. The DC flowing afterglow (generated using the hollow molybdenum electrodes in the distance of 12 cm, power ± 290 W) was used for the experimental part of this work. The discharge was created in Pyrex discharge tube at different concentration ratio of nitrogen and argon. The total gas presure was in range from 500 Pa to 5000 Pa. The emission spectra of post-discharge were recorded by TRIAX 550 spectrometer with CCD detector in the range of 320-780 nm. The vibrational populations at individual vibrational levels were calculated using the emission bands of the first (N2 (B 3g) N2 (A 3u+)) and the second (N2 (C 3u) N2 (B 3g)) positive and the first negative (N2+ (B 2u+) N2+ (X 2g+) nitrogen spectral systems. The dependencies of intensity on decay time and relative vibrational populations on argon concentration and pressure were obtained. The pink afterglow was very sharp in pure nitrogen at low pressure. With the increasing total pressure it was shifted to the later decay times and it was visible for longer time, too. The same effect was observed with the increase of argon concentration in the gas mixture. At the highest argon concentrations, especially at lower pressure, the effect of pink afterglow dissapeared.
