Decarbonisation of energy system has many reasons and climate change remains the key factor for transition from conventional to renewable sources of energy. The Asian part of Russia is closely connected with the Arctic and global agenda on climate change makes it urgent to seek the balance between abundant conventional sources of energy in Siberia and renewables, which have obtained a great technical potential. According to our study, establishing voluntary carbon markets and green certificates in Russia stimulate for penetration of renewables in Siberia.

The main objectives of the study are to assess the potential socio-economic effects of hard-to-recover oil reserves (HROR) development at the regional level and prepare recommendations for institutional conditions that guide oil and gas companies to develop such resources. An approach was developed to analyze the potential socio-economic effects from the implementation of HROR development projects. The methodology is based on methods for evaluating investment projects and analyzing intersectoral relations. The study was carried out on the example of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug (KhMAO). The calculations show that the development of HROR will form the prerequisites for stabilizing production volumes in the KhMAO, generate significant direct and indirect effects for the region related to the increase in tax revenues, maintenance of related industries and employment.

One way to describe the evolution of the modern knowledge base in the Russian oil and gas sector (OGS) is to consider it through the dynamics and results of patent activity related to inventions. On the whole, we observe rising complexity of the industrial knowledge base of OGS, which responds to changes in the resource base of OGS and reflects world- wide trends of innovation-driven growth. Notably, Russian inventions for OGS comprise rather limited use of technologies from complementary knowledge fields.

Stable and dynamic interactions among plants, herbivorous insects, parasites and associated microbes are formed in natural habitats. The study of these interactions in multicomponent models is required to develop integrated methods for the management of insect pest populations. In this work, we summarize our studies on the influence of different factors, such as hygrothermal conditions, host development, host microbiota, plant quality, and concomitant infections, on interactions between insects and their parasites, such as fungi, bacteria, viruses and parasitoids. Some approaches for developing complex products for biocontrol are also discussed. For example, the use of natural compounds with immunosuppressive effects may enhance the efficacy of microbial agents toward pest insects.

In the article it is proved that the service sector is the most important element of innovative systems for resource (primarily oil and gas) regions. It is shown that it is a leader and a link in the generation, integration and use in practice of local and global knowledge with respect to the exploration and production of hydrocarbon raw materials. Its integration into innovative systems of resource regions is one of the most important tasks for the authorities of these regions.

The classification of the Russian resource regions is carried out in the study. It is shown that it is necessary to take into account the dynamic aspects of development of raw materials territories in the analysis of the social-and-economic development of resource regions. The recommendations to increase the role of the subjects of the Russian Federation in regulating the mineral and raw materials complex are proposed.

The article reflects the position held by the Institute of Economics and Industrial Engineering, Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences regarding the problems and prospects of the socio-economic, scientific, and technological development of Siberia and the directions of strengthening its positions in the world and Russian space. The main development problems of Siberia and the Siberian Federal District are identified, taking into account modern challenges and threats. It is shown that the recovery of the Siberian economy as a whole and the regions of the Siberian Federal District, in particular, should be based on a significant increase in investment activity at all levels: macroregional, regional, and municipal. Multiple saccular aneurysms of the thoracic aorta in neonates and infants are exceedingly rare. An association of these aneurysms with Loeys-Dietz syndrome (LDS) in older age-groups is well known.
