A gyermekek iskolaválasztását több tényező is befolyásolja, például a szülők iskolázottsága vagy a lakóhely és az oktatási intézmény távolsága (Fehérvári, 2015; Zolnay, 2018). A szülők iskolázottsága hatással van az iskolai tanulmányokra és az idegennyelv-választásra is (Csapó, 2001). Tanulmányunkban a Hajdú-Bihar és Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg megyében végzett, nyelvtanulási motivációra vonatkozó kérdőíves kutatásunk adatait elemezzük SPSS program segítségével. A tanulói adatbázisban (890 fő) azt vizsgáljuk, hogy a tanulható idegen nyelvek más tényezőkhöz képest mennyire befolyásolták a középiskola-választást. A tanult idegen nyelv(ek) és a középiskolások klasztereivel kapcsolatban arra voltunk kíváncsiak, hogy van-e különbség az eltérő idegen nyelv(ek)et tanulók között a középiskolák képzéstípusát és fenntartóját tekintve. Eredményeink szerint a nyelvek a legkevésbé, míg a lakóhely és az oktatási intézmény távolsága jelentősebb mértékben befolyásolta a középiskola-választást, azonban tanult idegen nyelvenként és tanulói klaszterenként eltérő mintázatot mutatnak a tanulók középiskolái a képzéstípus, valamint a fenntartó tekintetében, ami véleményünk szerint nemcsak a hozzáférhetőség miatt alakul így, hanem a társadalmi háttér és a jövőbeli tervek is befolyásolják a döntést.

There is an increased interest in exploring the interaction between knowledge of foreign languages, Reading and Mathematics and correlation of students' achievement in Hungary (e. g. Szirmai, 2003; Garami, 2009; Hegedűs & Sebestyén, 2019). Special learner groups are rarely put in the focus of research, therefore in our paper, we examine achievements in Reading and Mathematics of students with learning disorder or integration, learning and behavioural difficulties (ILBD). We examine data in different types of classes, for example, in special classes with a high number of foreign language lessons. We analyse the data of National Competency Measurement (NCM) of 2019 in the 10th grade (N = 83,751) with SPSS. In this database, there are 3,029 students with learning disorder and 4,284 students with ILBD. 5.9% of the first group and 9% of the latter group learn in classes with a high number of foreign language lessons per week. According to our results, these students have better competence results from Reading and Mathematics than students who learn in classes with “normal” curriculum, and lower achievements than students in classes with a special curriculum.

A LEGO® Education módszertan lényege, hogy játékeszközök segítségével olyan megismerő, alkotó, kreatív tevékenységet végezzenek a gyerekek, ami segíti többek között a kommunikációs, kooperatív kompetenciák vagy az algoritmikus gondolkodás fejlesztését. A metódus már a koragyermekkortól kezdve alkalmazható, így tanulmányunkban ezt a korosztályt helyezzük középpontba. Bemutatjuk a LEGO® módszertan alapjait jelentő pedagógiai hátteret, melyben a háromévesnél fiatalabb korosztály megismerési és játéktevékenységére jellemző sajátosságokra fókuszálunk, majd magát a módszertant, végül néhány tematikus szettet.

The sociocultural and socioeconomic background of pupils is a determinant for their learning process and it has an effect on their learning success and on how easily pupils are able to master the requirements set by school curricula and how they perform on different measuring tasks. This is the reason why we compare in our paper the reading and mathematics results of the National Competence Measurement 2013 with the English and German language results of the secondary school-leaving exams in foreign languages regarding the same pupils. We analyse the data using the SPSS program and we present the results using the MapInfo program. We examine the effects of pupils’ social background, the interactions of different subjects and their regional projections as well. The pupils’ achievements show the same pattern as the development patterns of different geographical areas in Hungary.

Nowadays knowing foreign languages is a must. The children learn more languages at the school, so it does not matter what kind of books they use. The aim of our paper is to present the data of the Hungarian official list of textbooks from the last 17 years. The lists contain textbooks, exercise books and other things. This survey is about the publishers, the rate of the authors with presumed to be German and Hungarian native speakers. The results show that the change of the textbooks ‘German as foreign language’ and these results can lead to other international comparisons.
