Questo saggio si propone di analizzare le migrazioni come traumi collettivi che la letteratura moderna e contemporanea ha saputo trasmettere. Il riconoscimento del trauma è uno degli elementi che caratterizzano parte della narrativa femminile migrante, soprattutto in relazione alla ricerca di un'identità che diventa sempre più fluida a causa della perdita delle radici. Questo bisogno viscerale di definire il sé trova una cassa di risonanza nella scrittura delle donne migranti, che cercano nella narrazione una misura per definirsi. Il riconoscimento del trauma subito è un modo di esprimersi per uscire dalla condizione di oggetto del discorso e diventare soggetto della narrazione e agente narrativo. In The Illiterate, Agota Kristof describes eleven important moments in her life where she exceeded various borderlines: she crossed temporal, spatial, linguistic, and identity frontiers. Although her writing is extremely simplified and devoid of expressivisms, this text arouses very strong emotions. Agota Kristof (1935-2011), escritora húngara exiliada en Suiza desde 1956, aborda el tema de la gemelidad en sus tres primeras novelas: Le Grand cahier(1986), La Preuve (1988), Le Troisième mensonge (1991). Los dos personajes principales, Lucas y Claus, representan el ideal soñado de hermanos gemelos como vía de alcanzar la identidad plena. De novela en novela surge una gemelidad perversa caracterizada por el desdoblamiento y el juego ficcional. Sus personajes encarnan, tanto la parodia del individuo incapaz de vivir en un proyecto de unidad, como la alegoría sarcástica de la situación vivida en la Europa del Este a lo largo del siglo XX. La experiencia totalitaria marca su vida y su obra., Agota Kristof (1935-2011), Hungarian writer exiled in Switzerland since 1956, tackles the topic of twinship in her first three novels: Le Grand cahier(1986), La Preuve (1988), Le Troisième mensonge (1991). The two main characters, Lucas and Claus, represent the dream of twin brothers as a way of reaching the full identity. From one novel to other arise a wicked twinship characterized by the splitting and the fictional game. Her characters embody the parody of men unable to live in a unity project and the sarcastic allegory of the lived situation in eastern Europe in the XX century. The experience of totalitarianism marks her live and her work.

By using a minimal language but a very complex narrative structure, Agota Kristof's trilogy stages the mental division which is operated by the historical fracture through war and totalitarism, and all the kinds of exile the entailed. The consequences of this fracture are numerous, and deeply reach the narrator's identity as well as his relation to language and to the world. The fact that a fiction is tied up to another one - and then to a third one - creates some geology, each layer of which gives shape to one aspect of division. Through fiction writing, elements which are part of a very dark and shattered universe can be gathered and structured in their multiples dimensions, where a paradox is taking shape, and which comes from the totalitarian ideology by denying the individual and his world. Through the narrative organisation of the work, the reader actually feels this paradox and is induced to actively penetrate it., La trilogie d'Agota Kristof, dans une langue minimaliste mais par une structure narrative très complexe, met en scène la division mentale opérée par la fracture historique, à travers la guerre et le totalitarisme et toutes les formes d'exil qu'ils ont provoquées. Les conséquences de cette fracture sont multiples et atteignent profondément l'identité du narrateur ainsi que son rapport au monde et au langage. L'emboîtement d'une fiction dans une autre, et encore dans une troisième, crée une géologie dont chaque strate donne forme à l'un des aspects de la division. L'écriture fictionnelle permet de réunir et de structurer, dans leurs dimensions multiples, les éléments d'un univers très noir et éclaté, où se nouent les fils d'un paradoxe : celui que forge l'idéologie totalitaire en niant l'individu et sa parole. Par l'organisation narrative mise en oeuvre, le lecteur éprouve ce paradoxe et il est amené à se construire activement une place.
