Abstract

We formally specify the recent DRM scheme of Nair et al. in the μcrl process algebraic language. The security requirements of the scheme are formalized and using them as the basis, the scheme is verified. The verification shows the presence of security weaknesses in the original protocols, which are then addressed in our proposed extension to the scheme. A finite model of the extended scheme is subsequently model checked and shown to satisfy its design requirements, including secrecy, fairness and resisting content masquerading. Our analysis was distributed over a cluster of machines, allowing us to check the whole extended scheme despite its complexity and high non-determinacy. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

10. Modification of TiO2surface for improved light fastness

Abstract

Rutile TiO2dioxide particles were modified with P2O5treatment for improving its UV light fastness and the characteristics are studied using different techniques. The investigation aimed at improving the light fastness of the TiO2particles by surface modification with P2O5and optimizing its content for best performance. The coating of different inorganic oxides such as SiO2, Al2O3, P2O5, etc. were confirmed by atomic absorption spectroscopy. Microscopic evaluation was employed to evaluate the surface morphology of modified TiO2. The specific surface area was estimated using BET method. Effect of the surface modification with oxides on electrokinetic properties and zeta potential is appraised. Changes in the pigmentary properties on UV exposure are determined as a measure of light fastness. The light fastness of the modified samples is superior to commercial TiO2pigments. The dispersion and pigmentary characteristics of the P2O5modified samples have approached the commercial rutile TiO2pigment standards. The reducing strength values indicate good dispersion characteristics of the P2O5modified samples. The light fastness of TiO2particles can be improved considerably on imparting the coating of P2O5along with Al2O3.
