The relationship between tourists’ emotional experience and perception of destination brand personality, has not been empirically explored before. Moreover, there is a literature gap in understanding how emotional experience, destination personality, destination satisfaction, and behavioral intentions, interact together in one model. Based on this, the principal aim of this study is to analyze how tourists’ emotional experience affects the perception of destination personality traits, as well as how these two constructs relate to tourists’ satisfaction and behavioral intentions. In order to explore this, the survey was conducted on a sample of 203 domestic and international tourists, who have visited the city of Novi Sad, while Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) was applied to test the hypothesized model. The results confirmed the positive role of emotional experience in shaping destination personality and destination satisfaction. Destination satisfaction and certain personality traits positively predicted behavioral intentions. Theoretical and managerial implications are discussed in the paper.

Introduction: Thyroid hormones affect the cardiovascular system, but the precise mechanisms of their effects on the development of atherosclerosis are not entirely clear. The relationship between subclinical hypothyroidism, dyslipidemia and carotid atherosclerosis has been widely investigated, but the findings were controversial. The aim of the present study was to determine whether female subjects with subclinical hypothyroidism (SHypo) have increased carotid intima-media thickness (IMT) compared with euthyroid subjects, as well as to examine the association of SHypo, carotid atherosclerosis and dyslipidemia.

The main aim of this study was to develop a new scale for measuring travel destination personality – the Destination Personality Scale (DPS). It was assumed that DPS will confirm the applicability of the five-factor structure of the original Brand Personality Scale (BPS) by Aaker (1997) when more appropriate adjectives for the description of travel destination personality are generated. Results confirmed the five-factor structure of DPS, with dimensions Excitement, Sincerity, Competence, Ruggedness, and Sophistication. The final version of DPS consists of 24 items and subscales showed good construct (convergent and discriminant) and criterion validity, as well as reliability. The aim of this paper is to develop a new perspective on urban tourist motivations and demotivation's by applying the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) model in order to better understand how tourists make decisions about which destinations to visit. Authors discovered that most important factor within city break travel is internal force, followed by the external force and least important is demotivation. The paper argues that the results indicate the value of applying the AHP model to understand the role and importance both of push and pull factors and demotivators in urban tourism destination choice.

Hotels, like any other businesses in a given location, can be threatened by natural disasters, usually with significant and long-term consequences. The hotel industry is particularly vulnerable and exposed to the risk of property being physically damaged or completely destroyed. Apart from the physical damage, there is also an accompanying economic risk of the tourism sector suffering as tourists avoid areas affected by a disaster event. Therefore, hotels in the areas prone to natural disasters must ensure they are resilient enough to carry on through the turbulent period until regular business levels return. This study is based on survey responses of 63 hotel managers from the 12 European countries most frequently affected by natural disasters. The study relies on multi-capital predictor based approach and examines hotel resilience to natural disasters. It has been found that managers’ previous experience of a natural disaster, duration of managerial experience, and organizational category and size have a positive effect on hotel resilience. Moreover, hotels must anticipate such situations and continuously drill how to respond efficiently and adapt quickly in order to ensure business sustainability. Practical implications, study limitations and future research recommendations are also discussed.

Recent natural hazards (floods and wildfires) which hit some of the most visited Greek tourist destinations during the summer season 2018 are threatening to decrease the number of tourist visits in the affected regions. As these regions, being namely Chalkidiki, Olympic Riviera and regions surrounding Athens and Thessaloniki, are the most popular summer destinations for Serbian tourists, it is interesting to examine how natural hazards that occurred there influence tourist behavior based on the perceived risk. The study aims to explore the role of psychological factors such as different personality traits and tourism worries on the tourist behavior based on the perceived risk of affected destinations. Moreover, the assumption was that tourism worrieswill mediate the relationship between analyzed personality traits and tourist behavior based on the perceived risk. Although previous studies investigated the effect of different psychological factors on tourist behavior based on the perceived risk, this is the first study to explore the interaction of different psychological factors including tourism worries, which previously were not analyzed in this context. Besides theoretical contribution, practical implications are also further discussed in the paper within the realm of their use for destination managers.
