12. Effect of the Stator Mutual Leakage Inductance for Low and High Power Applications of Dual Star Induction Machine.

Abstract

This paper treats the static and dynamic modeling of dual star induction machines (DSIM) by proposing three electric models. The induction machine has two sets of three-phase stator windings spatially shifted by 30 electrical degrees. The emphasis is placed on an extensive presentation of the effect of the stator mutual leakage inductance between two stator stars, for low and high power applications, by examining the electrical, magnetic and mechanical quantities. In the following, in order to confirm this impact, the machine is supplied by a multilevel voltage inverter. The simulation results confirm the effect of the stator mutual leakage inductance on the machine performances and particularly its transients. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
