Maintenance of active longevity, preservation of physical activity, and prevention of decreased mobility associated with injury or age of patients are among the most urgent tasks for modern healthcare. The suppression of pathological processes and activation of defense systems at the cellular and organismal levels are the main routes for solving these problems. Several initial anti-aging therapy approaches are detoxification, rheocorrection, and immunocorrection. In these areas, methods of extracorporeal hemocorrection, in particular, therapeutic plasmapheresis, are effective. This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of hardware plasmapheresis with albumin compensation by assessing the dynamics of circulating age-related biomarker levels in randomly selected patients. Twenty human subjects of both sexes aged 40–55 years with an increase in one or more aging-related biomarkers participated in this study. The patients were randomly divided into two groups with ten people each. Patients from Group 1 underwent therapeutic plasmapheresis with albumin replacement (four procedures with a 2-day interval). Patients from Group 2 were offered plasmapheresis treatment with saline replacement. The levels of aging-related biomarkers were determined in the blood of patients before and 30 days after starting treatment. Preliminary data showed that plasmapheresis with albumin replacement in randomly selected male and female patients was accompanied by normalization of the selected aging biomarkers. Thirty days after the start of the plasmapheresis treatment, a decrease in both biological and phenotypic age was determined. Further studies are needed to investigate the effects of nutritional factors on aging biomarkers with and without plasmapheresis treatment. Based on the obtained results, recommendations will be made on the use of plasmapheresis in preventive and sports medicine. The use of this method will help reduce the biological age of patients and, as a result, reduce the risks of developing age-related diseases and disabilities and contribute to prolonging life and improving its quality.

The coronavirus pandemic has negatively impacted the global economy. The banking sector is no exception. The authors analyze the impact of the coronavirus on the functioning and subsequent development of the banking sector in Russia. If we consider this pandemic as a one-time event, then the banking system will recover quickly enough, and there will be no tragic long-term consequences. However, if we talk about the coronavirus pandemic as a recurring event that will occur at intervals of two or even three times a year, then the real consequences are still difficult to assess.

Emergency is the violation of normal living conditions and activities of people at the facility and a certain territory that arose as a result of an accident, catastrophe, natural disaster, epidemic, as well as the use of modern weapons by the enemy, which led to human casualties, damage to health and the environment, material losses. This article discusses the management of the work of enterprises and organizations in emergency, problems associated with natural emergencies (natural disasters). Emergency management involves the creation of a system consisting of a number of subsystems. The authors analyse the possible ways of solution the problem of the company’s management in emergency.

The energy sector is now experiencing a renaissance thanks to new opportunities offered by innovative technologies that are filling the market, for example in the field of storage and management of electrical energy. For the controlled development of distributed generation, maintaining the stability of the energy system while maintaining the price advantages of small generation, the speed of commissioning new power capacities and the scalability of the solutions used, a new subject of relations in the electricity market is proposed - an active energy complex. This is an energy system that is electrically connected within the general boundaries of the balance sheet membership, which includes energy receiving, generating, accumulating (if any), electric grid energy equipment and a control system for this energy system as a single complex in order to meet energy needs. There is a contradiction between the development of the labour market and the achievement of environmental well-being. On one hand, environmental pollution, depletion of natural capital has a negative impact on the state of the labour market, employment of the population, and on the other hand - activities to improve the environment, eliminate the accumulated environmental damage, the development of a market for environmental works, goods and services promote the expansion of employment, not only green, but general employment.

The article presents the results of an analysis of modern research in the field of organic waste processing. To solve the problem, anaerobic bioconversion method was chosen. The data of experimental laboratory experiments on the selection of a consortium of microorganisms’ methanizing waste from poultry farms with maximum efficiency are presented.

Laser therapy as a physiotherapeutic method has been successfully used for a long time in the treatment of various pathologies, but the action mechanisms of low level laser therapy (LLLT) remain understudied., Objective: To perform the analysis of published results of LLLT investigations, to describe the physical principles of photobiomodulation, its action mechanisms on various cells and tissues, therapeutic intervention and efficiency of the technique., Material and Methods: The search of articles was done for the period from 2014 to 2022. The preference was given to the articles for the last 5 years in the PubMed database depending on keywords: low level laser therapy, photobiomodulation, exosomes, monocytes, macrophages., Results and Discussion: This article represents the current conceptions about the action mechanisms and reproduced effects of low level laser therapy, the photobiomodulation influence on the inflammation and reparative processes in human body by intervention on cells and their signal pathways. The discussion of research results and probable causes of conflicting data are performed, as well as the efficacy assessment of laser irradiation in different conditions and diseases is made., Conclusion: Laser therapy has certain variety of advantages, among which: non-invasiveness and availability, long-term service of equipment, stable intensity of light radiation and the ability to use in various wavelength ranges. The technique efficacy was proven for a large number of diseases. However, for the successful application of photobiomodulation in clinical practice in current evidence-based medicine, additional investigations are necessary to determine the best dosimetric radiation parameters, as well as further study of action mechanisms on various human cells and tissues.

The development of new biomaterials whose characteristics are as close as possible to the properties of living human tissues is one of the most promising areas of regenerative medicine. This work aimed at creating a bioplastic material based on collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid and studying its structure and properties to assess the prospects for further use in clinical practice. Bioplastic material was obtained by mixing collagen, hyaluronic acid and elastin in predetermined proportions with distilled water. We treated the material with photochemical crosslinking to stabilize biofilm in a liquid medium and form a nanostructured scaffold. A commercial human skin fibroblast cell culture was used to assess the biomaterial cytotoxicity and biocompatibility. The visualization and studies of the biomaterial structure were performed using light and scanning electron microscopy. It has been shown that the obtained biomaterial is characterized by high resilience; it has also a high porosity. The co-culturing of the bioplastic material and human fibroblasts did not reveal any of its cytotoxic effects on cells in culture. It was shown that the biomaterial samples could maintain physical properties in the culture medium for more than 10 days, while the destruction of the matrix was observed 3-4 weeks after the beginning of incubation. Thus, the created biomaterial can be used on damaged skin areas due to its physical properties and structure. The use of the developed biomaterial provides effective conditions for good cell proliferation, which allows us to consider it as a promising wound cover for use in clinical practice.

Mouse models of Streptozotocin (STZ) induced diabetes represent the most widely used preclinical diabetes research systems. We applied state of the art optical imaging schemes, spanning from single islet resolution to the whole organ, providing a first longitudinal, 3D-spatial and quantitative account of β-cell mass (BCM) dynamics and islet longevity in STZ-treated mice. We demonstrate that STZ-induced β-cell destruction predominantly affects large islets in the pancreatic core. Further, we show that hyperglycemic STZ-treated mice still harbor a large pool of remaining β-cells but display pancreas-wide downregulation of glucose transporter type 2 (GLUT2). Islet gene expression studies confirmed this downregulation and revealed impaired β-cell maturity. Reversing hyperglycemia by islet transplantation partially restored the expression of markers for islet function, but not BCM. Jointly our results indicate that STZ-induced hyperglycemia results from β-cell dysfunction rather than β-cell ablation and that hyperglycemia in itself sustains a negative feedback loop restraining islet function recovery.
