Introduction: This paper explores the relationship between musicians' information seeking behaviour and their personality traits within the context of musical creativity. Although previous research has addressed different socio-technological and behavioral aspects of music information seeking, the role of personality characteristics around creative activities has been an under-researched area. Method: Research was conducted by means of a questionnaire survey administered to Greek musicians. Survey questions were developed based on theory from the domains of information behaviour and musical creativity. Different personality characteristics were measured using the Core Self-Evaluations Scale based on self-efficacy, self-esteem, locus of control and neuroticism. Analysis: The survey provides empirical evidence of the associations between personality traits, music information seeking and musical creativity based on descriptive and inferential nonparametric statistical analysis for group differences. Results: The results indicate that information plays a significant role in different creative activities of musicians. Musicians utilised a variety of information sources but encountered important obstacles in information seeking. Significant connection was also found between musicians' personality characteristics and different types of information seeking aspects and creativity. Conclusions: Overall, musicians' personality, and in particular self-efficacy, is associated with scholarly information seeking and analysis.

Purpose: The aim of this study is to investigate how the information needs satisfaction of visual art teachers affects their creativity. Visual art teachers' information seeking behaviour and specifically the association of information needs satisfaction with creativity has been an understudied area, despite competent information seeking being considered essential for high quality practices of art teachers. Design/methodology/approach: A questionnaire survey was developed addressing the information seeking behaviour of art teachers, informed by Wilson's model (1981), including visual art teachers' information needs, information resources, obstacles faced while seeking information and the perceived impact of information needs satisfaction on visual art teachers' creativity. Findings: The study included 298 visual art teachers in Greece. The results demonstrated that the key information needs of art teachers were mainly related to materials' properties, techniques for creating artwork and artwork promotion methods. Online information sources were the preferred sources of art information, followed by colleagues, personal collections and visits to galleries and museums. Our study identified lack of time, lack of specialized libraries and copyright, as the main barriers to information seeking. Originality/value: Information about art plays a substantial role in visual art education, while visual art teachers' information needs satisfaction positively influences their creative endeavours. Introduction: This study investigated the information seeking behaviour and needs of parents of paediatric patients and their motives for seeking Internet-based information. Method: A questionnaire survey of 121 parents was conducted in a paediatric clinic of a Greek university hospital. Analysis: The data were analysed using SPSS; descriptive statistics were used to summarise the data and non-parametric Mann-Whitney U and Kruskal-Wallis test statistics were performed to identify differences in reported information seeking behaviour. Results: Parents sought further information than that provided by their paediatrician and searched on the Internet to reduce their anxiety and cope better with their children's medical condition. The Internet was the second most important information source used after the paediatrician. The main obstacles parents encountered were the volume and unreliability of Internet health information and the infrequency of visits to the doctor. Conclusions: Informed participation of patients and paediatricians in clinical shared decision-making requires the development of information literacy in both parties. Health information professionals may act as information literacy instigators and educators for parents and paediatricians by means of offering information literacy prescriptions and other information decision aids.

Aims: This study offers an empirical exploration of self‐assessed digital competencies of students, most of whom studied in nursing courses, using a discipline‐based self‐assessment survey tool. A range of digital competencies were explored: information and communication technology proficiency and productivity, information literacy, digital creation, digital research, digital communication, digital learning and development, digital innovation, digital identity management and digital well‐being. Design: A cross‐sectional empirical study. Methods: Quantitative data were collected from November to December 2021 via a questionnaire survey administered to students. Quantitative results were reported through descriptive statistical analysis. Mann–Whitney (U‐test) and Kruskal–Wallis non‐parametric statistical tests were used to identify statistically significant differences based on age demographics and pre‐ or post‐registration course. Thematic analysis was utilized for survey open‐ended questions data. Results: Students reported low competencies in the following digital literacy dimensions, all of which were imperative for their studies and for their future professional careers: information literacy, digital research, digital innovation. Significant statistical subgroup differences were found between age demographics and pre/post‐registration within most of the digital competence dimensions. The survey open‐ended comments revealed that students encountered challenges around digital skills they had mostly developed via everyday life experiences and trial‐and‐error approaches. Conclusion: Increasing awareness of existing digital gaps and offering tailored digital skills enhancement can empower students as future‐proof evidence‐based practitioners in an evolving digital healthcare landscape. Implications for the Profession and/or Patient Care: Highlights the importance of embedding digital literacy within nursing study programmes, as preparation for comprehensive patient healthcare. Introduction: The information health literacy and information seeking-behavior of health professionals, as well as the training at the level of information systems, is a key factor in the proper management of an ever-increasing volume of information concerning users of health services. In particular, the adequate and valid informational training of nurses leads to quality provision of health services, through the correct decision-making and execution of tasks. Aim: The study of the digital health information education and the informational behavior of the nursing staff of GHT «Papageorgiou» during the covid-19 pandemic. Material and Method: The research was implemented in May 2021 while the sample of the research consisted of 70/100 nurses (70% response rate) who worked in the ICU-Covid of the "PAPAGEORGIOU" hospital. The data collection was done using the electronic Health Literacy Scale (e-HEALS) while the recording of the information seeking-behavior was based on respective questionnaires used to investigate the information seeking-behavior and information needs of Greek health professionals. Statistical data processing was performed with IBM SPSS 25.0. Results: Nurses have a well-developed digital health information education and are aware of the importance of the internet, as 91.4% of participants consider the internet to be very to very useful in making decisions, 100% consider the ability to access online resources to be very to very important, while 57.1% are very to very satisfied with the current ability to search for scientific information. In addition, they need information on issues related to their work as skills and nursing interventions (95.8%), nursing instructions and protocols (94.3%), nursing assessment and patient evaluation (92.9%), emergency patient management (90%), psychological support of the patient (80%) and knowledge update (78.6%) while main sources of information were the medical (97.1%) and nursing staff (98.6%), scientific medical websites (97.1%), websites of government agencies (94.2%) and the internet (91.4%). Finally, the main obstacles in the search for information were the lack of staff time (84.3%) and costs (69.6%). Conclusions: The continuous update and information of the nursing staff are important factors in maintaining and improving the level of provision of health services. Introduction: In the field of health, the relationship between patients and health professionals is influenced by the increasing ability of the patient to be informed about health issues from a large number of sources and especially through the use of the internet. The level of information literacy and the information behavior of patients are a key factor in this therapeutic relationship. Aim: To investigate the informative behavior and the health information literacy of Primary Structures of Health Services in Attica, as well as the relationship between the two variables, taking into account the demographic characteristics among users. Material and Method: Empirical investigation of the information behavior and health information literacy of the patients who visited the Spata Health Center Regular outpatient Neurological Clinic was conducted through the provision of specially designed questionnaire. The survey was attended by 102 participants who met specific criteria. The survey was conducted anonymously, and all ethical and ethical principles were respected in the survey. The bilateral level of statistical significance was set equal to 0.05. Data analysis was performed with IBM SPSS 21.0 (Statistical Package for Social Sciences. Results: The level of information health literacy and the skills of the participants in finding and utilizing health information is low while most participants have not understood the importance and necessity of proper information behavior in seeking medical information. These specific low results are related to the growing age, the existence of chronic disease, the low educational level and the poor financial situation of the participants. General health information is most frequently sought from the participants under 35 and 46-55 years of age (p=0.011), those living with their parents or with a roommate (p=0.010), those with post-secondary education (p=0.047), employed (p=0.028) and participants without chronic disease (p<0.001), while the frequency of searching for general health information increases as the economic level of the participants increases (p=0.006). Individual health information is requested more often by participants under 35 years old and 46-55 years old (p=0.011), widowed (p=0.009), those with postsecondary education (p=0.048), employed (p<0.001) and participants without chronic disease (p<0.001) while the frequency of searching for individual information increases as the financial level of the participants increases (p=0.004). Participants <35 years of age (p=0.027), those who live with their parents or with a roommate but also those who are single or live alone (p=0.001), those who have completed post-secondary education or are university graduates (p=0.014), employees (p=0.034) and participants without chronic disease (p<0.001) show a greater ability to search for information, while the ability to search for information increases as the economic level of the participants increases (p=0.006).
