For prosthodontic operations to be successful, particularly those involving dental implants and the preservation of alveolar bone, adequate calcium levels are necessary. In order to prevent excessive ridge resorption and maintain the stability and effectiveness of dental prostheses, it is imperative to maintain adequate quantities of calcium through diet or supplementation. It is essential for healthy blood clotting, maintaining strong bones, facilitating normal muscle and nerve function, and supporting the strength and shape of teeth. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
