Civil engineering structures (e.g., bridges, dams) are exposed to deformation under the influence of various factors such as water level changes, landslides, tectonic phenomena, etc. These deformations must be periodically monitored. Various deformation analysis approaches have been developed to describe the behaviour of a structure or natural process. The most significant task in deformation analysis is to correctly classify whether the points are stable or unstable. In this study, various robust weight functions for determination of stable/unstable points were applied to the Deriner Dam using GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System) data measured over four different periods. The robust weight functions examined included the Andrews, Beaton%Tukey, Cauchy, Danish, Fair, German%McClure, Hampel, Huber, L1, and L1%L2. Test results were evaluated, and the performances of the different deformation analysis methods were determined. It was concluded that the horizontal deformations based on GNSS data determined by these robust weight functions were in good agreement with each other, except for the L1%L2. The results of all approaches were also compared with the results of the %2 %Criteria method. According to the results obtained, although the %2 %Criteria and the robust methods yielded nearly similar results, the results of the %2 %Criteria method were thought to be more reliable. V preteklosti so bili razviti različni pristopi za preučevanje obnašanja grajenega ali naravnega objekta. Najpomembnejša naloga pri deformacijski analizi je določiti, ali so točke stabilne ali nestabilne. V raziskavi so bile uporabljene različne robustne utežne funkcije za določitev stabilnosti oziroma nestabilnosti točk na primeru jezu Deriner, pri čemer smo uporabili podatke opazovanj GNSS (angl. Global Navigation Satellite System) iz štirih terminskih izmer. Pri tem smo uporabili Andrewsovo, Beaton-Tukeyjevo, Cauchyjevo, dansko, Fairovo, GermanMcClurejevo, Hampelovo, Huberjevo, L1 in L1%L2 robustno funkcijo. Na podlagi rezultatov izračunov smo ocenili lastnosti uporabljenih metod deformacijske analize. Ne glede na metodo, ki je bila uporabljena, se je izkazalo, da so skoraj vse opazovane točke na jezu Deriner v obravnavanem 1,5-letnem obdobju nestabilne. Položaji točk so bili nedvoumno pod vplivom vodne obremenitve. Izkazalo se je tudi, da so horizontalni premiki opazovanih točk, ki so bili določeni na podlagi opazovanj GNSS in robustnih utežnih funkcij, podobni za vse uporabljene metode % izjema so rezultati izračuna po metodi L1%L2. Vsi ti rezultati so bili primerjani še z izračuni po metodi %2 . Glede na izračune, pridobljene po tej metodi, lahko ugotovimo, da so rezultati primerljivi, čeprav je bila v preteklosti metoda %2 obravnavana kot primernejša

The problem of transformation between geodeticellipsoidal coordinates (φ, λ, h) and three-dimensional (3D) global Cartesiancoordinates (X, Y, Z) is a common one. Only one method for solving thistransformation problem has been found. An examination of the current studiesreveals that the application and testing of possible alternative techniques fortransforming geodetic ellipsoidal coordinates to 3D global Cartesian coordinateshave not been fully addressed. The aim of this study was to investigate theperformance of a method of transforming geodetic ellipsoidal coordinates to 3Dglobal Cartesian coordinates using a multilayer perceptron artificial neuralnetwork (MLP-ANN). For the prediction, 594-point datasets of the TurkishNational Fundamental GPS Network (TNPGN) were used. As a result of many trials,the Bayesian Regulation was determined as the training algorithm and the numberof hidden layers was 2. The mean squared error (MSE), mean absolute error(MAE), and coefficient of determination (R2) were used for theperformance evaluation of the MLP-ANN model. According to the test results, theMSE value for the components of the MLP-ANN and the 3D global Cartesiancoordinates varied between 0.4536 cm and 0.9411 cm, the MAE value rangedbetween 0.3883 cm and 0.8165 cm, and the R2 value was calculated as0.9999 for all models. To examine the results in more detail, the differencebetween the estimated values and the calculated values was determined.Accordingly, it was found that the difference in the values was quite close tozero except for a few number of data. According to these statistical criteria,it was concluded that the MLP-ANN used in this study could be used as an alternativeto the classical coordinate transformation method., Jeodezik elipsoidal koordinatlar (φ, λ, h) ileüç boyutlu (3B) global kartezyen koordinatlar (X, Y, Z) arasındaki dönüşüm işlemisıklıkla karşılaşılan bir problemdir. Bu dönüşüm problemini çözmek için sadece biryöntem bulunmuştur. Mevcut araştırmalar incelendiğinde jeodezik elipsoidalkoordinatlardan 3B global kartezyen koordinatlaradönüşüm yöntemine alternatif olabilecek tekniklerin uygulanması ve testedilmesi konusunda tam olarak değinilmediği belirlenmiştir. Bu çalışmanın amacıçok katmanlı algılayıcı yapay sinir ağı (ÇKAYSA) kullanarak jeodezik elipsoidalkoordinatlardan 3B global kartezyenkoordinatlara dönüşüm yöntemininperformansını araştırmaktır. Tahmin için Türkiye Ulusal Temel GPS Ağı’na(TUTGA) ait 594 noktalı veri seti kullanılmıştır. Yapılan çok sayıda denemelersonucu eğitim algoritması olarak Bayesian Regulation ve gizli katman sayısı 2olarak belirlenmiştir. ÇKAYSA modellerinin performans değerlendirmesi içinkaresel ortalama hata (KOH), ortalama mutlak hata (OMH) ve belirlilik katsayısı(R2) kriterleri kullanılmıştır.Test sonuçlarına göre ÇKAYSA ile 3B global kartezyen koordinatların bileşenleriiçin KOH değeri 0.4536 cm ile 0.9411 cm arasında, OMH değeri 0.3883 cm ile0.8165 cm arasında değişim göstermiş, tüm modeller için R2 değeri0.9999 olarak hesaplanmıştır. Sonuçları daha detaylı incelemek için tahminedilen değerler ile hesaplanan değerler arasındaki fark değerleri hesaplanmıştır. Buna göre, fark değerlerinin az sayıdaveri hariç sıfır değerine oldukça yakın olduğu görülmüştür. Söz konusu istatistikselkriterlere göre, bu çalışmada kullanılan ÇKAYSA’nın klasik koordinat dönüşümyöntemine alternatif olarak kullanılabilir bir yöntem olduğunu sonucunavarılmıştır.

Dams with high construction costs are subject to deformation due to internal and external factors, such as self-weight, temperature changes, the force of the reservoir water. The effects of these factors on structural behavior should be monitored and, if necessary, precautions must be taken. To serve the purpose of their establishment in a beneficial way, dams should be monitored periodically by geodetic or geotechnical methods. In this study, the studies on dam deformation monitoring with geodetic methods in the world and in Turkey were evaluated. Within the scope of the study, robotic total station and GNSS, terrestrial laser scanner samples were given. The aim of this study is to provide a summary of the current solutions and future tendencies to the people working on the investigation of the deformations in the dams by geodetic methods., Yapım maliyeti oldukça yüksek olan barajlar, barajın kendi ağırlığı, sıcaklık değişimi ve su yükü gibi iç ve dış faktörlerden dolayı deformasyona maruz kalırlar. Bahsi geçen faktörler karşısında yapısal davranışın ne kadar etkilendiği izlenmeli, varsa hareketlerin belirlenmesi ve barajların güvenlikleri sağlanmalıdır. Barajlar kurulum amaçlarına sağlıklı bir şekilde hizmet etmeleri barajlar jeodezik ve geoteknik yöntemler ile izlenmelidir. Bu çalışmada, baraj deformasyonlarının jeodezik yöntemlerle izlenmesi konusunda Dünyada ve Türkiye’de yapılan çalışmalar değerlendirilmiştir. Çalışma kapsamında, jeodezik ölçüm tekniklerden robotik total station ve GNSS, yersel lazer tarayıcı örnekleri verilmiştir. Bu çalışmanın amacı barajlarda deformasyonların jeodezik yöntemler ile incelenmesi üzerine çalışan kişilere mevcut çözümleri ve gelecekteki yönelimleri anlamalarını özetleyerek sağlamaktır.
