These proceedings contain the papers and poster of the 17th International Conference on Mobile Learning (ML 2021) and 8th International Conference on Educational Technologies (ICEduTech 2021), which were organised by the International Association for Development of the Information Society (IADIS). Due to an unprecedented situation caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, this year the conference was hosted virtually during 3 to 5 March. The 2021 edition comprised a special theme: "COVID-19 Opportunities and Challenges for Teaching and Learning Innovation in a Global Pandemic." The Mobile Learning 2021 Conference seeks to provide a forum for the presentation and discussion of mobile learning research which illustrate developments in the field. The authors of the article describe the popular trends and methods as well as ICT tools used for the mapping and visualization of scientific domains as a research methodology which is attracting more and more interest from scientific information and science studies professionals. The researchers analysed Pajek, one of the programs used for the processing and visualization of bibliographic and bibliometric data, within the framework of the implementation of IRNet research network project and activities, and presented several examples of visualisation. These proceedings contain the papers of the International Conference e-Learning 2017, which was organised by the International Association for Development of the Information Society, 20-22 July, 2017. This conference is part of the Multi Conference on Computer Science and Information Systems 2017, 20-23 July, which had a total of 652 submissions. The article discusses issues related to STEM education; it is emphasized that the need to prepare students with twenty-first-century skills through STEM-related teaching is strong, especially at the elementary level. The authors stress that workshops, using kits to build and program robots, are a modern form of interdisciplinary education of children and youth. The rationale for conducting such activities in schools is found in the European reference framework in the context of training of key competences. Classes in robotics--properly taught--will have an impact on the development of mathematical literacy and scientific-technical information and social competences. At the same time, competence is understood to mean a combination of knowledge, skills and attitudes appropriate to the situation. Besides, an analysis is presented of basic legal regulations in this matter as well as some results of a survey, conducted in Poland and Ukraine among in-service teachers and prospective teachers. Making construals is a practical approach to computing that was originally developed for and by computer science undergraduates. It is the central theme of an EU project aimed at disseminating the relevant principles to a broader audience. This involves bringing together technical experts in making construals and international experts in educational technology in organising wide-ranging learning activities. This paper, which complements the tutorial and discussion on making construals in (Beynon et al. 2015a, 2015b), documents issues that arise from this encounter. Its central argument is that making construals offers a significant new contribution to educational technology. [For the full proceedings, see ED562093.]
