In the JAXA 2 m x 2 m Transonic Wind Tunnel, there have been more needs of wind tunnel users for high measurement accuracy to develop aircraft and launch vehicles with high performance. To achieve higher accuracy, more elaborate calibration tests to calculate freestream flow conditions have been conducted in this wind tunnel. To obtain test section Mach numbers exactly, test section static pressures must be measured precisely. However, the measurement of test section static pressure is difficult for transonic flows, especially high subsonic flows because of probe nose effects, blockage effects, support interference, and so on. 航空宇宙技術研究所2m×2m遷音速風洞用排風機設備は、風洞の内部圧力制御および内部空気置換を行うために設置され、30年間以上運転されて来たが、老朽化による性能低下が著しく、新排風機設備に更新される事となった。新排風機設備用圧縮機は、ルーツブロアー、往復動圧縮機、スクリュ圧縮機ウェットタイプ、スクリュ圧縮機ドライタイプのそれぞれの特徴を調査し、据え付け面積という基本的な条件を満たすものとして、再びスクリュ圧縮機ドライタイプを採用する事とした。基本的な考えとして、公称排気容量10,000立方メートル/hの同じ圧縮機2台で構成して省力化および高効率化を狙い、それぞれを375kwの極数変換電動機と組合わせて2段変速を行い、合計容量を5,000立方メートル/h、10,000立方メートル/h、15,000立方メートル/h、20,000立方メートル/hの4段階に調節可能なものとした。制御方式は、風洞内部圧力の設定値と測定値との差を常に計測し、その大きさにより4段階の容量のそれぞれを自動的に割り付けて、有効な運転を行わせるものとした。また、制御室側の制御操作盤を全廃し、1987年5月に完成した主送風機制御監視システム(操作指令用計算機および制御用計算機などで構成)とオンライン化することで、現場制御操作盤と同等の監視が行え、主送風機運転員による操作が可能となり、省力化が実現した。, An exhaust system is used to control the tunnel pressure and to exchange air in the NAL 2 m x 2 m transonic wind tunnel. Due to deterioration, the exhaust system was replaced, as well as other equipment, in 1988. This paper summarizes the replacement of this system. The new system consists of two exhausters, a piping system, valves, a control system, etc. The pole change induction motor is used to drive each screw type compressor, and the total capacity of evacuation is changed in four steps. (5,000, 10,000, 15,000, 20,000 cu m/h) This exhaust system is controlled by the sequencer linked to the main blower of the transonic wind tunnel so that the control of wind velocity and tunnel pressure becomes easier and move responsive. 遷音速風洞特別改修の一環として、1990年から1992年にかけて、補助送風機設備を更新した。更新工事は、単に老朽化した設備の活性化を目的とせずに、旧設備の運用上で問題点とされていたことを解消して機能向上に努めた。測定部からの抽気量制御方式を検討することによって、従来のバイパス方式から送風機本体が有する容量調節機構で行なう方式に変更した。また、設備の近代化を推進する技術の採用などにより、設備の消費電力軽減、簡略化、保守の負担低減、マッハ数自動制御の確率などの多くの成果を本工事で得ることが出来た。本報告は、更新に至るまでの経緯、新設備の概要および更新成果について報告する。, The auxiliary blower system is one of the parts needed to achieve transonic flow in the NAL 2 m x 2 m transonic wind tunnel. This system was replaced in 1990-1992. The reconstructed blower is the 8,000 kW axial compressor with adjustable stator blades. Thereby, the blower controls aspirate itself in the air from the perforated test section. During the replacement, efforts were made to increase its energy efficiency, to simplify the total system, and to accomplish the automatic control of Mach number. The stopper consists of a rising porous plate on the lower wall of the half model cart and an actuator using an air cylinder. Two rising plates were used for evaluation of the stopper. 航技研(NAL)2m×2m遷音速風洞は、遷音速領域(マッハ数0.4〜1.4)における航空機あるいは飛しょう体まわりの空気の流れを解明する実験設備である。本風洞は測定部に精密な遷音速の一様気流を生成するため主送風機および補助送風機からなる送風系設備を備えている。本風洞は1960年より稼働してきたが、近年本風洞設備全体の老朽化が進んだため、遷音速風洞特別改修の計画が進められ、その一環として、1985年より1992年まで、送風系設備の更新工事を行った。本資料は、送風系設備の更新工事の内容、成果などについて報告する。とりわけ本設備を風洞内圧100kPaで運転するには、最大約27,000kWと膨大な電力を消費するが、本改修工事を実施したことによって送風系設備に必要な電力は更新前に比べ約30％の節電効果を挙げることができた。また、遷音速風洞特有の補助送風機系(抽気)風路の改良、運転の自動化などを図ったことによりデータ生産性が向上した点についてもふれる。, As part of the comprehensive refurbishment of the NAL 2m X 2m Transonic Wind Tunnel, the main blower drive system and the auxiliary blower system were replaced. In carrying out the replacement, efforts were made to render the system automated and to increase its energy efficiency as much as possible. As a result: (1) Power savings are, at a tunnel stagnation pressure of 100 kPa, 3,000 kW and 5,000 kW for the main and auxiliary driving systems respectively; (2) The time required for starting and finishing have been substantially reduced, thus contributing to the enhancement of the tunnel operational efficiency; and that (3) The manpower needed for tunnel operation has been greatly reduced by an extensive automating of the Mach number control procedure. A feature of this procedure is incorporation of a feed-forward process derived from the analysis of the manual control data hitherto collected. JAXA2m×2m遷音速風洞においては風洞試験中に気流の温度上昇によって生じる天秤出力の温度ドリフトが空気力測定試験における計測精度に大きな影響を与えている。温度ドリフトを引き起こす原因としては天秤自体の温度変化と天秤内の温度分布が考えられる。従来のドリフト補正方法では、天秤のゼロ点出力は風洞試験前のゼロ点出力と風洞試験後のゼロ点出力を直線で結んで、その直線上の電圧をゼロ点出力とする方法であった。この補正方法では、風洞試験開始時の気流の急激な温度上昇によって天秤のゼロ点出力が急激に変化する為、補正誤差を生じる。空気力測定試験における温度ドリフト量を減らし、正確に補正を行う為に、予備加熱・チェックポイント補正方法を提案した。風洞試験中の天秤のゼロ点出力変化を調べ、提案した新ドリフト補正方法の有効性を確認した。さらに、新ドリフト補正方法と従来のドリフト補正方法の補正誤差を比較する為にONERA-M5標準模型およびAGARD-B(Advisory Groups for Aerospace Research and Development-B)標準模型を用いて再現性の確認試験を行った。その結果、新補正方法を用いることにより一連の風洞試験における軸力のバラツキ誤差が±2カウント以内であることが確認された。さらに予備加熱・チェックポイント補正方法を用いて様々な模型や試験条件に適用する為に温度センサ付内装式六分力天秤を製作し、運用方法および処理方法の改善を行った。, In the JAXA 2 m x 2 m Transonic Wind Tunnel, the thermal zero shift of strain-gage balance output caused by an unfavorable increase of flow temperature during a run influences the measurement accuracy of the balance. Temperature change in the balance and thermal gradients across the balance cause the thermal zero shift of the balance. Balance outputs for zero are conventionally corrected by the linear estimation from the no-wind data just before the run and the renewed no-wind data immediately after the run. In the correction method, the error increases at the beginning of the run, because the abrupt change in stagnation temperature causes balance outputs for zero to shift drastically. To reduce and correct the thermal zero shift of strain-gage balance output in force measurement, a preheating and checkpoint correction method is established. Variations of strain-gage balance output for zero are investigated during a run to confirm the effectiveness of the new method. Several series of wind tunnel tests with an ONERA-M5 calibration model and an AGARD-B (Advisory Groups for Aerospace Research and Development-B) calibration model are conducted to compare the new correction method with the conventional one. Results show that the error of the drag measurement from run to run is reduced to +/- 2 drag counts.
