Changes in values of life have caused decline in the quality of global society character, including the character of Indonesian young generation, so it is of necessity to optimize character education through various learning media. This study seeks to develop a value-based digital storytelling media in social studies learning for the formation of student characters. A Research and Development approach was employed with an explorative method used at the model development stage and an experiment method at the model testing stage. Data were collected through observations, interviews, questionnaires, documentation study, and focus group discussions. Qualitative data analysis includes interactive analysis and quantitative data analysis uses a paired sample T-test. Research subject are students of Department of Social Studies at Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia in the ICT Literacy and Learning Media of Social Studies courses. Results reveal that: 1) the concept of value-based digital story telling is a learning medium that exhibits the following characteristics: student engagement through a series of value activities, reflection for deep learning, project-based learning, technology integration into the classroom, and developing values character in action; 2) the making of value-based digital storytelling is carried out through 8 stages: start with an idea, research/explore/learn, write script, storyboard/plan, gather and create images, audio and video, put it all together, share, and reflection and feedback.; 3) the use of of value-based digital storytelling media in social studies learning significantly impacts the development of student's character.

This study aimed to develop a Pancasila education textbook model based on Indonesia's Bhinneka Tunggal Ika "Unity in Diversity" as teaching materials for compulsory subjects in Indonesian universities. The study used a Research and Development approach, where the data were collected through focused group discussions and questionnaires. While qualitative data were analyzed using an interactive analysis and quantitative data analysis used percentages. The research participants consisted of lecturers and students at nine universities in Indonesia. The findings reveal that 1) the conceptual model of the Unity in Diversity-based Pancasila education textbook is applicable and contextual which presents the latest issues in accordance with the issue of Indonesian diversity. This model integrates tolerance values in the diversity of religious, physical, social, cultural, linguistic, and ideological aspects; 2) The content of book constitutes the following components: chapter titles, introductions, keyword and concept map, material presentation and elaboration of Bhinneka Tunggal Ika values, competence performances, summaries, reflections, authentic assessments, feedback, and followup activities.

This study seeks to develop and validate a model of living values-based interactive multimedia in Civic Education learning. A Research and Development approach was employed. Data were gathered through observations, interviews, document study, focus group discussions, and questionnaires. Data were analyzed by way of interactive models and a descriptive quantitative analysis. The subjects were students and teachers at junior high schools and senior high schools in Bandung, Indonesia. Results reveal that: i) the model conceptually integrates living values and the principles of living values education into interactive multimedia with especial attention to core competencies and basic competencies of Civic Education according to the 2013 curriculum of Indonesia, the principles of scientific learning, and the principles of interactive multimedia development; ii) the framework of the model consists of motivation, title, menu, CC-BC (Core Competencies and Basic Competencies) and learning objectives, concept maps, material contents with multimedia variations, motivational/reflection videos, VCT Lists, and Quizzes; iii) the results of the validation indicate that most of the components of contents, presentation, multimedia principles, and the initial product of the model are considered fairly good. Most students very positively perceived the use of interactive multimedia in Civic Education learning for character development.

This study aims to develop and examine a civic education textbook model based on living values education in order to foster the development of junior high school students' characters. This research employs Research and Development approach with an explorative method being used at model development stage and experiment method at model testing stage. Research subjects are teachers of Civics Education and junior high school students in Bandung, West Java, Indonesia. Data were gathered through observation, interview, focus group discussion, and attitude scale. Qualitative data analysis includes interactive analysis and quantitative data analysis uses a paired sample T-test. The results of the research are: 1) at a conceptual level, a living values education-based textbook is the integration of living values and the principles of living values education into textbooks by taking into account the principles of scientific learning, core competencies and basic competencies in accordance with the national curriculum, and the principles of textbook writing (content feasibility, presentation, language and readability, and graphics); and 2) the use of living values education-based Civic Education textbook significantly impacts the development of junior high school students' character.

This study aims to describe the development of value-based interactive multimedia through integrated practice for the formation of students' character. This study uses Research and Development Design at the Department of Social Sciences Education at Indonesia University of Education. Conceptually, the design in question is integration of living values and social studies learning materials into interactive multimedia by involving students through an integrated practice in schools (university and junior high school). Implementation of the design is realized through several steps: negotiation of subject matter and character, presentation of materials, group distribution based on social science topics, exploration of character values according to the topics, integrated practice (initial observation to school, multimedia scenario development, multimedia production, multimedia simulations in class, and multimedia utilization in school). Implementation of the interactive multimedia design significantly affects the formation of students' character.

This study explores the promotion of ethical behavior through intercultural education via a narrative inquiry research design. Seven international students from Madagascar, Libya, Turkmenistan, Thailand, and Malaysia participated, providing diverse perspectives on their experiences. The participants' narratives were analyzed through the lenses of transitivity and language appraisal, revealing nuanced insights into how intercultural education shapes ethical behavior. The findings highlight the transformative impact of intercultural learning environments on international students' intercultural development and decision-making processes. This research underpins the integration of intercultural education into curricula to foster ethical global citizens and offers practical implications for educators and policymakers seeking to cultivate inclusive, ethically aware educational settings. Nyadran is a Javanese cultural tradition that involves visiting ancestral graves and bringing offerings and prayers to ancestors. This tradition has etymological roots in various languages and strengthens social relations. Nyadran creates moments of hustle and togetherness. The tradition reflects the harmony between culture and religion in the lives of Javanese people and remains relevant in diverse cultures around the world. The study is a literature review conducted using a qualitative approach. The data sources consist of books and journal articles that are relevant to the topic of Nyadran and civic disposition. The data were collected using documentation and observation studies. The results showed that the tradition of Nyadran as a local wisdom of the community formed a civic disposition through the civilizing of Nyadran, a cultural tradition that encourages the values of togetherness, respect for ancestors, and gratitude for the blessings given by God. Forming an ideal civic disposition through Nyadran culture can internalize character values such as moral responsibility, respect, and tolerance. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This research presents a literature review about the integration of local wisdom into Civics learning in junior high schools with an independent curriculum to strengthen Indonesia's national identity. Through a deep understanding of local wisdom, students can develop a sense of pride in their cultural heritage. This can help strengthen national unity and prevent social disintegration. Besides, the integration of local wisdom can also help raise students' involvement in the Civics learning process, because material that is relevant to the local context will be easier for students to understand and identify. The literature used in this study comprises 2 books and 30 articles from relevant journals. Based on the results of the review, it can be concluded that the integration of local wisdom into Civics learning can be done by incorporating local wisdom values into Civics material according to the "Theme" or "Topic". Meanwhile, the hidden curriculum of local wisdom can be included in regulations, norms, and learning rules; for example, in the learning process, students must behave based on existing local wisdom values. This will make learning more meaningful because the material studied is relevant to the context of community life and students discover local values that are relevant to life through interaction with their environment. This study aims to describe the conceptual model of digital-based living values activities project learning, students' perceptions of implementing this model, and the reinforcement of students' Pancasila character. The research utilised a mixed methods approach on students and teachers at junior high schools in Bandung, Indonesia. The findings reveal that the digital-based living values activities project learning model integrates project-based learning, living values education and digital learning. Students perceived the implementation of this model quite positively, and the reinforcement of students' Pancasila character was categorised as good. In the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, blended learning must focus on strengthening students' character, in addition to building their knowledge and skills. To achieve this goal, it is essential to develop a blended learning model that is based on values. This study aims to describe the value-based blended learning model and its effect on strengthening student character. We used Borg and Gall's Research and Development method for our research, which involved a total of 265 university students enrolled in Pancasila and Civic Education courses at Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia, Universitas Sebelas Maret, dan Universitas Negeri Padang. Data were collected using interviews, questionnaires, and attitude scales and analyzed using qualitative interactive, quantitative descriptive and correlation-regression analysis. The results revealed that (1) the value-based blended learning model for character strengthening was carried out by integrating characters at all combinations, all stages of learning, and on all components of learning, habituation, role models, rules, rewards and punishment systems; 2) most students perceive very well the implementation of value-based blended learning in Pancasila and civics education courses; and 3) most of the students showed very good character. The dominant characteristics developed in value-based blended learning were critical thinking, creative and innovative thinking, independence, collaboration, hard work, digital literacy, democracy, religiosity, peace, responsibility, and tolerance. (3) The application of value-based blended learning has an effect of 50.8% on strengthening student character. Citizenship Education is currently interpreted as a multidimensional education, even Citizenship Education includes various disciplines related to citizenship issues. One of the actual citizenship problems is about environmental damage, because it is a problem experienced by all nations in the world. This study aimed to develop an instrument to measure students' attitudes related to students' ecological citizenship behavior as one of the outputs of Citizenship Education course in middle school. This study was using development method (R&D) which included several stages, namely preliminary research, development research, effectiveness measurement, and dissemination. The results of the expert assessment of the content and content validation test stated that the digital citizenship-based political participation instrument was assessed according to the CVI 1 (Relevant) value, while the broad-scale analysis of the questionnaire items was obtained with valid results of 26 questionnaire items with reliability value of 0.98. This study found that the instrument was relevant to measure civics learning outcomes in the form of students' ability to apply attitudes in accordance with the value of ecological citizenship.
