ÖZETVitrivius’dan başlayarak tarihin her döneminde, güçlü mekanların kritik unsurlarından birinin yaratıcı düşünce olduğunu görmekteyiz. Gelişen ve değişen teknoloji, bilim, sanat anlayışı iç mekanda kullanıcı gereksinimlerini ve alışkanlıklarını değiştirirken küreselleşme, kapitalizm ve çeşitli akımlar ile mekan, birbirinin aynısı olan bir tüketim metası haline evrilmiştir. Küreselleşme, kapitalizm, teknolojinin durmaksızın gelişimi gibi etmenlere bağlı olarak tasarım ve süreçleri etkileme gücüne sahip olan yaratıcı düşüncenin günümüzde artık kendi içinde bir girdap oluşturduğu ve kendi kendini tekrar eden bir döngüde kaybolduğuna şahit oluyoruz. Diğer yandan insan varlığıyla tanımlı hale gelen mekan, kullanıcı gereksinimleri, gelişen teknoloji, değişen sanat anlayışı gibi her dönem farklı yorumlanan bilgi yolu ile gittikçe genişleyen ve gerçekliğini yitiren bir anlam kazanmıştır. Gözlemlenen bu durum “gerçeklik” kavramının “mekan” ile olan ilişkisinin, kullanıcıların değişen gereksinimlerine cevap verebilecek aynı zamanda daha yaratıcı bakış açıları geliştirebilecek olan yeni bir araç olabileceği fikrinin doğmasına sebep olmaktadır. Tüm bunların ışığında yapılan bu çalışmanın amacı, iç mekan tasarımında esin sorununun çözümünde alternatif olabilecek bir düşünce olan farklı mekan kavramlarının gerçeklik kavramı üzerinden ele alarak ne tür mesleki fikir ve pratiklerin geliştirilmesine, ne şekillerde katkı yapacağını incelemektir. Bu çalışma, dijital çağda mekana yüklenen yeni anlamlar yoluyla görüntü ve işitim diline dönüştürülmüş mekanların bilimkurgu sinemada belirlenen temsiller üzerinden mekan kurgularını ele almakta ve olası uygulama alanlarından biri olan iç mimariye odaklanmaktadır Çalışmanın temel araştırma konusu bilimkurgu sinemasında kullanılan mekan anlatımların gerçeklik kavramı üzerinden mimari ve iç mimaride nasıl bir ifade ortamı yarattıklarıdır.ABSTRACTIt is witnessed that creative thinking, which has an impact on design and processes based on factors has formed a whirlpool inside and been disappearing in a repeating cycle today. On the other hand, space that has become identified by means of human existence has taken on a new meaning interpreted differently, expanding progressively through knowledge and losing its reality in every era just like users’ requirements, developing technology, changing sense of art. The observed situation has led to the conclusion that the relationship of the concept “reality” with “space” is likely to be a new means which can fulfill users’ changing requirement and develop more creative viewpoints as well. In consideration of all these, the aim of the study is to research in what ways and what types of professional opinions and practices the different concepts of “space” that could be an alternative to solve the problem “inspiration” in indoor design will make contribution to developing on the basis of the concept of “reality”.The study discusses creative thinking processes and environments in design depending upon the identified representations in science fiction cinemas of spaces that have been converted into the language of display and audio through new meanings ascribed to space in digital era, and focuses on interior architecture, a potential field of application.

Amaç: Bu çalışma demanslı hastaya bakım veren aile bireylerinin aktivite performans alanlarının bakım veren rolü nedeni ile nasıl etkilendiğini ergoterapi bakış açısıyla incelemek için yapıldı. Gereç ve yöntem: Bu çalışma Ocak- Nisan 2014 tarihleri arasında bir üniversitesi hastanesinin Geriatri Polikliniği tarafından takip edilen demans tanısı olan ve olmayan evde yaşayan yaşlı kişilerin bakım verenleriyle yapıldı. Katılımcılar, basit rastgele örnekleme yöntemi ile seçildi. Demanslı yaşlı kişiye bakım veren 20 kişiyle çalışma, sağlıklı yaşlı kişiye bakım veren 30 kişi ile kontrol grubu oluşturuldu. Çalışmamızda sosyodemografik özellikler anket formu, Kanada Aktivite Performans Ölçümü kullanıldı. Sonuçlar: Çalışma grubundaki kişilerin yaş ortalaması 59,8 ±8,69 yıl, kontrol grubundaki kişilerin ise 56,13 ±5,06 yıl bulundu. Çalışma grubundaki bakım verenler tarafından en çok problem yaşanan serbest zaman aktiviteleri kendine zaman ayırmak (35), doktora gitmek (25), alışverişe gitmek (%20), yürüyüş yapmak (%10); üretici aktivite ise yemek yapmaktır (5). Kontrol grubunda ise serbest zaman aktivitesi çocuklarıyla vakit geçirmek (%30), toruna bakmak (%13,3), arkadaşlarıyla vakit geçirmek (%10); üretici aktivite ise yemek yapmaktır (%10). Her iki grup da problem yaşanan kendine bakım aktivitesi bildirmedi. Tartışma: Bakım verenlerin yaşamlarının olumsuz etkilenimini azaltmak için, bakım verenlerin kendine bakım, üretici ve serbest zamandaki aktivitelerini dengeli şekilde oluşturmalarını sağlayacak kişi merkezli ergoterapi müdahale programlarının oluşturulmasının önemli olduğu düşünülmektedir, Objective: This study was designed to examine the change of activity performance areas due to being primer family caregiver of a geriatric individual with dementia from occupational therapy perspective. Materials and Method: This study was performed in Hacettepe University Geriatrics Unit between January 2014 and April 2014 on caregivers of geriatric individuals with and without dementia who live at home. Caregivers (n:20) of individuals with dementia as the study group and without damentia (n:30) as the control group were selected by simple random sampling method. Socio-demographic characteristics questionnaire and Canada Activity Performance Measurement was used. Results: Study group’s mean age was 59.8 ±8.69 years, while 56.13 ±5.06 years in control group. Problems experienced in study group in recreational activities were taking time for own (35%), going doctor (25%), shopping (20%), walking (10%) and cooking (5%) in productivity area while spending time with children (30%), looking grandchildren (13.3%), spending time with friends (10%) in recreational area; and cooking (10%) in productivity area of control group. Self-care activities were the common problem performance area. conclusion: Client-centered occupational therapy programmes which include activity participation to self care, productivity and recreational activites is important to reduce the negative influences of being a caregiver of an individual with dementia

Children’s fear of a car accident occurring to parents or themselves has been used as a concrete example to illustrate one of the symptoms of anxiety disorders such as separation anxiety and generalized anxiety. However, its usage across countries may be questionable where the prevalence of this specific type of injury differs. This cross-sectional study compares samples from seven diverse European countries (Bulgaria, Germany, Italy, Lithuania, Netherlands, Romania, Turkey) to see if an environmental exposure, car accident death rate per 100,000 people (country-wide from WHO data), is associated with children’s self-report of car accident fears. In this study, 6–11 year-old children were surveyed by a diagnostic instrument (Dominic Interactive) about several situations and asked if they believed they were similar to a fictional child depicted in said situations. Mothers were surveyed for additional sociodemographic information. Multivariable logistic regression was used to adjust for covariates including mother’s age, mother’s education, single parenting, and mother’s professional inactivity. We report a monotonic relationship between higher car accident death rates and the prevalence of children reporting fear of parent’s or own accident. Relative to a reference of 3.9 deaths per 100,000 people, children’s odds of reporting fear of parent’s accident ranged from 1.99 (95% CI 1.51–2.61) times to 4.84 (95% CI 3.68–6.37) times as the risk of death by car accident increased across countries. A similar result arose from fear of child’s own accident, with significant ORs ranging from 1.91 (95% CI 1.53–2.40) to 2.68 (95% CI 2.07–3.47) alongside increased death rates. Given that reporting of these fears accompanies correspondingly high accident death rates, the pertinence of using fear of car accidents as an illustration for some diagnostic item for mental disorders cross-nationally appears to be an issue.

Studies have linked the use of corporal punishment of children to the development of mental health disorders. Despite the recommendation of international governing bodies for a complete ban of the practice, there is little European data available on the effects of corporal punishment on mental health and the influence of laws banning corporal punishment. Using data from the School Children Mental Health Europe survey, the objective of this cross-sectional study was to examine the prevalence and legal status of corporal punishment across six European countries and to evaluate the association between parental use of corporal punishment and children’s mental health. The study found that odds of having parents who reported using occasional to frequent corporal punishment were 1.7 times higher in countries where its use is legal, controlling for socio-demographic factors. Children with parents who reported using corporal punishment had higher rates of both externalized and internalized mental health disorders.
