The objective of this research is to analyze the knowledge structure of the academic literature indexed in the Core Collection of the Web of Science on automation in the wine industry, from the first registered article in 1996 to 2022, in order to identify the latest trends in the study of this subject. A bibliometric and systematic analysis of the literature was carried out. First, for the quantitative analysis of the scientific production, the bibliometric study was conducted, using the WoS database for data collection and the VosViewer and Bibliometrix applications to create the network maps. Second, once the literature had been examined quantitatively, content analysis was undertaken using the PRISMA methodology. The results show, among other aspects, the uneven distribution of the examined scientific production from 1996 to 2022, that computer vision, data aggregation, life cycle assessment, precision viticulture, extreme learning machine and collaborative platforms are the major current keywords and the predominance of Spain and Italy in terms of scientific production in the field. There are various justifications which support the originality of this study. First, it contributes to the understanding of academic literature and the identification of the most recent trends in the study of automation in the wine industry. Second, to the best of our knowledge, no prior bibliometric studies have considered this topic. The knowledge structure is the result of continuous evolution of the forces intertwined with knowledge linkages and structural patterns. However, the dynamics along this path are still not fully understood. This study aims to investigate the linkage patterns and incremental evolution of domain knowledge structure from the perspective of structure deconstruction. To this end, we proposed a novel framework that integrates the incremental update mechanism of knowledge network construction, subgraph enumeration, and knowledge combination. The proposed integrative framework enables us to embed time-related node attributes into identified subgraphs and to deconstruct specific types of decomposable structure into exiting knowledge combinations and potential knowledge combinations. Results from our case studies, the IIoT and the Metaverse fields, confirmed that the proposed framework is applicable to reveal the underlying knowledge linkage patterns and relative evolution strength. The identified decomposable structures suggest that the path toward knowledge linkages mainly follows a mixed strategy (e.g., high impact knowledge elements are more likely to be linked with elements of middle/low level of impact). The framework designed in this study, together with findings from two fields, elucidates specific evolutionary dynamics through a combined analysis of motifs and structural deconstruction. A circular economy represents a promising solution in addressing food waste effectively by keeping food materials and products in use and circulating them within the economy. To provide an overview of the research on food waste and the circular economy model in the past decade, this study examines 1022 documents on food waste and circular the economy to ascertain the state, themes, and knowledge structure of the field. The results showed that the number of publications has increased greatly in the past decade. “Circular economy of food”, “bioenergy”, “waste valorization”, “waste management”, “resource recovery”, and “environmental assessment” were the major research themes. Earlier studies focused on resource recovery from organic waste and the bioeconomy of bio-products; recent research interests shifted to sustainability and the valorization of agri-food waste. On the other hand, some highly cited documents and productive authors were important in the development of research on food waste and the circular economy. Furthermore, three groups of journals—“food and environmental sciences”, “open access”, and “environmental sustainability and resource management”—and five clusters of international collaboration—“European Union Group”, “advanced economy group”, “agricultural economies”, “global influencers”, and “isolated countries”—were identified. This study provides readers with an overview of the research field of food waste and the circular economy.

Knowledge structure is a valid characteristic for assessing individuals' knowledge and guiding their future learning. Based on formal context, there are methods to construct a knowledge structure delineated by skill function and find learning paths. However, the skill functions considered in these methods are well-formed and the skills are independent. To overcome these limitations, this paper transforms a general skill function into a formal context to extend the methods of constructing knowledge structures and recommending learning paths. The construction method of knowledge structures is discussed based on the quasi-order relation among skills, which is suitable for the situation that skills are not independent. The recommendation method of learning paths is investigated based on the subsequent states and learning complexity of skills, which can realize personalized learning. Moreover, simulation experiments are performed on five data sets and show that it is necessary to consider the quasi-order relation among skills and that the methods proposed for finding and recommending learning paths are feasible. Abstract Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies have exposed more and more ethical issues while providing services to people. It is challenging for people to realize the occurrence of AI ethical issues in most cases. The lower the public awareness, the more difficult it is to address AI ethical issues. Many previous studies have explored public reactions and opinions on AI ethical issues through questionnaires and social media platforms like Twitter. However, these approaches primarily focus on categorizing popular topics and sentiments, overlooking the public’s potential lack of knowledge underlying these issues. Few studies revealed the holistic knowledge structure of AI ethical topics and the relations among the subtopics. As the world’s largest online encyclopedia, Wikipedia encourages people to jointly contribute and share their knowledge by adding new topics and following a well-accepted hierarchical structure. Through public viewing and editing, Wikipedia serves as a proxy for knowledge transmission. This study aims to analyze how the public comprehend the body of knowledge of AI ethics. We adopted the community detection approach to identify the hierarchical community of the AI ethical topics, and further extracted the AI ethics-related entities, which are proper nouns, organizations, and persons. The findings reveal that the primary topics at the top-level community, most pertinent to AI ethics, predominantly revolve around knowledge-based and ethical issues. Examples include transitions from Information Theory to Internet Copyright Infringement. In summary, this study contributes to three points, (1) to present the holistic knowledge structure of AI ethics, (2) to evaluate and improve the existing body of knowledge of AI ethics, (3) to enhance public perception of AI ethics to mitigate the risks associated with AI technologies.

Abstract Background Cerebral palsy (CP) is characterized by abnormal pronunciation, posture, and movement. Spastic CP accounts for more than 70% of all CP. To date, there has been no bibliometric analysis to summarize study on spastic CP. Here, we aim to conduct a bibliometric analysis of spastic CP to summarize this field's knowledge structure, research hotspots, and frontiers. Method Publications about spastic CP were searched utilizing the Web of Science Core Collection (WoSCC) database from 1 January 2000 to 30 November 2022, the WoSCC literature analysis wire, VOSviewer 1.6.18, CiteSpace 6.1.R4 and Online analysis platform for bibliometrics were used to conduct the analysis. Results A total of 3988 publications, consisting of 3699 articles and 289 reviews, were included in our study. The United States emerged as the most productive country, while Kathleen Univ Leuven was the most productive institution. The leading author was Desloovere K. A total of 238 journals contributed to this field, with Developmental medicine and child neurology being the leading journal. Important keywords and keyword clusters included Spastic cerebral palsy, Reliability, and Gross motor function. Keywords identified through burst detection indicated that hotspots in this field were management, randomized controlled trials, and definition. Conclusion Based on the analysis of bibliometric on spastic CP over the past 20 years, the trends and the knowledge graph of the countries, institutions, authors, references, and the keywords have been identified, providing accurate and expedited insights into critical information and potentially new directions in the study of spastic CP.

Background: Mild cognitive impairment (MCI) is a common neurodegenerative disorder that poses a risk of progression to dementia. There is growing research interest in body-mind exercise (BME) for patients with MCI. While we have observed a rapid growth in interest in BME for MCI over the past 10 years, no bibliometric analysis has investigated the knowledge structure and research trends in this field. Consequently, the objective of this research is to conduct a bibliometric analysis of global publications of BME for MCI from 2013 to 2022. Methods: A total of 242 publications in the field of BME for MCI were retrieved from the Web of Science Core Collection. Bibliometric analysis, including performance analysis, science mapping, and visualization, was performed using CiteSpace, VOSviewer, and Microsoft Excel. Results: Publications and citations in the field of BME for MCI have shown a rapidly increasing trend over the last decade. Geriatrics & Gerontology, and Neurosciences were the most frequently involved research categories. China (78 documents) and the USA (75 documents) contributed to the largest number of publications and had the strongest international collaborative networks. Fujian University of Traditional Chinese Medicine contributed to the largest number of publications (12 documents), and Chen, L of this institution was the most prolific author (12 documents). Frontiers in Aging Neuroscience (16 documents), and JOURNAL OF ALZHEIMER'S DISEASE (12 documents) were the most prolific journals. Tai Chi and Baduanjin, as specific types of BME, were the hotspots of research in this field, while evidence synthesis and guidelines might be future research trends. Conclusion: In the last decade, there has been a rapid growth in scientific activities in the field of BME for MCI. Theoretical principles in environment-oriented disciplines are crucial, serving as the foundational knowledge base for all processes and activities within these fields. Their significance lies in their ability to establish a distinctive identity for these disciplines, differentiating them by their content, methodologies, and values. This research investigates the core concepts and fundamental ideas that underpin architecture and urban planning, linking these theoretical frameworks to knowledge management indicators. Understanding these theoretical foundations is vital as they are informed by knowledge-centric perspectives. Furthermore, recognizing the term "science" within these disciplines necessitates acknowledging existing frameworks and exploring new theoretical fields. The integration of software tools, particularly artificial intelligence, facilitates the application of these theoretical principles through logical algorithms. Therefore, it is essential to comprehend these fundamental concepts, which form the basis for theoretical support across all aspects of these disciplines. In simpler terms, theoretical principles can be viewed as foundational ("Foundation"), their formation as structural ("Structure"), their appearance ("Appearance"), and their application in architecture, urban planning, and urban geography as functional ("Function"). This research utilizes qualitative content analysis, specifically employing artificial intelligence via MaxQDA software. The study's findings enhance our understanding of existing theoretical foundations, enabling their adaptation into environmental scenarios and their application in new contexts and situations. By integrating these environmental scenarios into architectural and urban planning practices, professionals can create more sustainable, resilient, and livable environments, benefiting both people and the planet. Sapindus rarak is a plant native to Indonesia. Its fruit contains abundant saponins and serves as a detergent for washing batik and baby cloth diapers. This study aims to determine the trends in the S. rarak research based on a bibliometrics and scoping review. The bibliometrics analysis was conducted by defining the search keywords, extracting publications, refining the results, compiling metadata, and mapping authors, keywords, and collaboration. There were 32 publications regarding S. rarak based on Scopus, written by 23 authors between 1992 and 2022, with 387 citations, and 201 publications with 1176 citations due to Google Scholar. Indonesia, the Indonesian Research Institute for Animal Production, and Elizabeth Wina was the most influential country, institution, and author, respectively. The research was clustered to chemistry, biology, medicine, and physics approach. Bio-prospection of S. rarak fruit extract for livestock supplementation was a hot topic. All articles reported S. rarak fruit or seed as the promising organ—no one study about the potency of leaves whereas leaves are also an abundant source of saponin. However, the potency of S. rarak leaves is still overlooked. Research on the efficacy of detergents has not been published in a highly reputable international journal, even though it has been utilized traditionally for a long time. Bibliometrics and scoping review can provide insights for further research roadmaps in this field.

Purpose: Transforaminal lumbar interbody fusion (TLIF) is a classic surgical procedure for posterior lumbar fusion. This study aims to analyze the TLIF field by bibliometric method and comprehensively summarize the research status and trends. Methods: All TLIF-related articles were retrieved from the Web of Science. The data were analyzed using R software and SPSS to calculate corresponding indicators. Visualizations were drawn using VOSviewer and Scimago Graphica, including country, institution, journal, author, and keywords. Results: A total of 919 articles were included. The annual publication volume of TLIF-related articles presented an exponential growth. North America, Europe, and Asia were the main sources of articles, with the USA and China being the main contributors and the USA being the global research center for TLIF. The level of the national economy was an important factor affecting TLIF-related research. The highest number of contributions in this field was made by Kern Singh among authors and by Rush University among institutions. The European Spine Journal was the most influential journal. The research focus has gradually shifted from perfecting the TLIF technique toward emphasizing the patient level. The improvement of minimally invasive techniques and how to improve clinical outcomes as well as accelerate postoperative rehabilitation of patients may be the hot spot of future research. Conclusions: With the advancement of medical technology and the popularization of minimally invasive concepts in recent years, TLIF and its derivative technologies have attracted increasing attention. Patient-centered minimally invasive surgery is a hot research topic in the field of TLIF currently and will continue to be so into the future

Abstract Background This study conducted a comprehensive analysis of research pertaining to the intersection of rehabilitation and COVID-19 (COV-REH). The main aim of this study is to analyze the thematic progression and hotspots, detect emerging topics, and suggest possible future research directions in the COV-REH. Methods Appropriate keywords were selected based on the Medical Subject Headings (MeSH) PubMed database and the Scopus database were used to retrieve a total of 3746 original studies conducted in the English language. The data extraction was performed on June 30, 2023. VOSviewer and Bibliometrix utilize CVS and BibTex files to facilitate the performance analysis and generate visual maps. The performance indicators reported for the research components of the COV-REH were compiled using the Scopus Analytics tool. Results From 2003 to 2023, 3470 authors from 160 organizations in 119 countries generated 3764 original research documents, with an annual growth of 53.73%. 1467 sources identified these scholarly works. Vitacca, M. (Italy), Harvard University (USA), and the USA published the most articles. This study included 54.1% of medical scholars. Telerehabilitation, exercise, quality of life, case reports, anxiety, and pulmonary rehabilitation were the primary themes of the COV-REH. One component of “telerehabilitation” is now the cardiac rehabilitation cluster. The trending topics in COV-REH are “symptoms,” “protocol,” and “community-based rehabilitation”. Conclusions This study proposed several significant research directions based on the current thematic map and its evolution. Given that COV-REH investigations have been determined to be multidisciplinary, this study contributes conceptually to several fields and has wide-ranging implications for practitioners and policymakers.

Meat plays a significant role in human diets, providing a rich source of high-quality protein. With advancements in technology, research in the field of meat preservation has been undergoing dynamic evolution. To gain insights into the development of this discipline, the study conducted an analysis and knowledge structure mapping of 1672 papers related to meat preservation research within the Web of Science Core Collection (WOSCC) spanning from 2001 to 2023. And using software tools such as VOSviewer 1.6.18 and CiteSpace 5.8.R3c allowed for the convenient analysis of the literature by strictly following the software operation manuals. Moreover, the knowledge structure of research in the field of meat preservation was synthesized within the framework of "basic research—technological application—integration of technology with fundamental research," aligning with the research content. Co-cited literature analysis indicated that meat preservation research could be further categorized into seven collections, as well as highlighting the prominent role of the antibacterial and antioxidant properties of plant essential oils in ongoing research. Subsequently, the future research direction and focus of the meat preservation field were predicted and prospected. The findings of this study could offer valuable assistance to researchers in swiftly comprehending the discipline's development and identifying prominent research areas, thus providing valuable guidance for shaping research topics. This article sheds light on how to capture knowledge integration dynamics in college course content, improves and enriches the definition and measurement of interdisciplinarity, and expands the scope of research on the benefits of interdisciplinarity to postcollege outcomes.We distinguish between what higher education institutions claim regarding interdisciplinarity and what they appear to actually do. We focus on the core academic element of student experience—the courses they take, develop a text-based semantic measure of interdisciplinarity in college curriculum, and test its relationship to average earnings of graduates from different types of schools of higher education. Background: This study conducted a comprehensive analysis of research pertaining to the intersection of rehabilitation and COVID-19 (COV-REH). The main aim of this study is to analyze the thematic progression and hotspots, detect emerging topics, and suggest possible future research directions in the COV-REH. Methods: Appropriate keywords were selected based on the Medical Subject Headings (MeSH) PubMed database and the Scopus database were used to retrieve a total of 3746 original studies conducted in the English language. The data extraction was performed on June 30, 2023. VOSviewer and Bibliometrix utilize CVS and BibTex files to facilitate the performance analysis and generate visual maps. The performance indicators reported for the research components of the COV-REH were compiled using the Scopus Analytics tool. Results: From 2003 to 2023, 3470 authors from 160 organizations in 119 countries generated 3764 original research documents, with an annual growth of 53.73%. 1467 sources identified these scholarly works. Vitacca, M. (Italy), Harvard University (USA), and the USA published the most articles. This study included 54.1% of medical scholars. Telerehabilitation, exercise, quality of life, case reports, anxiety, and pulmonary rehabilitation were the primary themes of the COV-REH. One component of "telerehabilitation" is now the cardiac rehabilitation cluster. The trending topics in COV-REH are "symptoms," "protocol," and "community-based rehabilitation". Conclusions: This study proposed several significant research directions based on the current thematic map and its evolution. Given that COV-REH investigations have been determined to be multidisciplinary, this study contributes conceptually to several fields and has wide-ranging implications for practitioners and policymakers. Knowledge and learning assessment is a popular topic. In existing models for constructing the knowledge structure of an individual, it is often considered whether an individual has mastered the skills to solve the corresponding item. However, the relationship between the number of skills an individual has mastered and the item is ignored. It is not reasonable to explain the phenomenon that individuals solve the same item but have different knowledge structures behind it. This paper introduces the concept of skill inclusion degree and constructs the variable precision α-models to delineate knowledge structures. The skill inclusion degree takes into account an individual's mastery of the number of skills assigned to each item. Firstly, the concept of the skill inclusion degree is given, and some of its properties are discussed. Then, the variable precision α-model is constructed. Moreover, the relationship between knowledge structures delineated via the variable precision α-models by a skill map is studied, and the algorithm of knowledge structures delineated via these models by a skill map is designed. The integration levels among research methods, management, research tools, and psychology could guide the development of the ONDAS framework toward the secrets of knowledge. The research grounds on undergraduate and graduate students' challenges, with particular emphasis on the need for writing critical literature reviews and weaknesses in identifying benchmark studies to extract the research gap and main research questions, resulting in most fresh graduate students not graduating on time. Some master’s students write doctoral theses, and vice versa, confusing their identified research approach. The study utilizes desk documents to identify the main problems that most students experienced during their research, to determine the knowledge structure through the analysis of benchmark studies, and to achieve the framework’s development foundation. As a result, it proposes ONDAS framework characteristics, procedures, and rules to be applied in different fields through data triangulation. Aiming to help the research process, ONDAS focused the study from its very beginning until viva voice discussion; this framework decreases the time of writing and preparation, guiding the research and strategy processes, and promoting tools to help with the analysis and elaboration of final theses. Results were achieved by a qualitative approach using the case study method that includes 40 participants in a semistructured questionnaire on their experiences with ONDAS framework. Most participants showed higher control and motivation, finishing on time and conducting their research with high precision and focus, establishing the integration of four primary levels that aid in developing the ONDAS framework across multiple disciplines and innovative research methodologies. Specifically, it is helpful for the scientific research community in academic-industry liaisons. Objective Transparency is an interdisciplinary concept that has emerged in multiple management fields such as governance, economy, health, law, media and even religious institutions. Examining the structure of knowledge, developments and current trends in the field of transparency indicates the change of informational approaches (focused on accessibility and disclosure of information) to emerging social approaches. The aim of this study is to identify key references and international trends of the transparency phenomenon at the international level. Accordingly, trends in publication and citation, main actors at the country and organizational levels, leading media outlets including publishers and journals, and established and emerging research fronts based on topics and key terms in the field of transparency have been identified. Methods To extract related scientific productions, the Web of Science Core Collection was utilized, encompassing databases and citation indexes of social and human sciences in journals, conferences, and books. Queries were formulated based on a combination of Title, Author Keywords, and Keyword Plus, refined by the research area of economics, spanning the years 2013 to 2022. Data processing, analysis, and visualization followed scientometric principles, techniques, and concepts. The Clarivate database was consulted for bibliographic data, content, and citation data of scientific productions, while the JCR database was used for data related to scientific journals. Network and overlay maps for citations, co-occurrence of keywords, and their clustering were conducted using the VOS Viewer software. For cooccurrence calculations, a full counting method was applied with threshold. Results Analyzing 1,163 scientific outputs indexed in the field of transparency revealed a dynamic trend with an average annual growth rate of 9.38% in publications and 40.27% in citations. In the last year, the rate of publications in this field surpassed double the average. The standings of participating countries, based on their production share, the volume, and age of received citations, were evaluated to monitor their competitive behavior. Institutions such as the University of London, National Bureau of Economic Research, University of California, European Central Bank, and Udice French Research Universities emerged as the most active in the transparency domain. In this collection, 30% of the works were published in 5% of the journals, as well as top publishers being introduced. The analysis identified key thematic axes at three levels: Research Areas, Citation Topics Meso, and Citation Topics Micro. The top ten Citation Topics Micro, in order, are: Monetary Policy, Corporate Governance, Economic Growth, Option Pricing, Cooperation, Elections, Public Administration, Health Technology Assessment, Antitrust, and Corporate Social Responsibility. Finally, a total of 145 co-occurring keywords were categorized into five clusters, and the trends of leading countries (USA, UK, Germany, China, France, Netherlands, and Canada) in these concepts were compared. Conclusion Examining the production status of countries, the dynamic rankings of participation in outputs, the volume and age of received citations, and the unique thematic trends of each country, underscores the importance of national planning for success in transparency management. On the scientific development path, identifying key references in transparency paves the way for productive research advancements and interaction with transparency leaders, and familiarity with current trends in this domain facilitates efforts towards promising directions. The composition of the top identified organizations, encompassing academic, non-profit, and supranational entities, suggests that success in the transparency realm necessitates regulatory measures for a balanced growth of academia, market, and industry. The knowledge structure of the transparency field highlights the necessity to consider a broad spectrum of stakeholders, both legal and natural individuals, in roles such as policymakers, business managers, and researchers within the transparency ecosystem. This study explores the reform of the modularized course “Cultivation Technology of Northern Daoji Medicinal Herbs” in the context of the new version of the “Good Agricultural Practice for the Production of Chinese Medicinal Herbs” (GAP). The research methods include skill mapping and knowledge structure analysis, formal context theory, ensemble and analytic models, and learning path planning algorithms based on KL dispersion and matrix eigenvector similarity. These methods aim to construct course knowledge structures, clarify teaching and learning priorities, and generate personalized learning paths. RESULTS SURFACE: The established course knowledge network reveals the relationship between knowledge points through skill mapping and knowledge structure analysis. The network density is 0.0624, indicating fewer connections between knowledge points. The course contains 68 knowledge and skill points, among which the Degree of centrality of the skill node “Dewhead Cultivation” is the largest. Based on the analyzed knowledge networks and learning paths, the course was divided into several modules, each tailored to specific teaching objectives and students’ learning needs. Through the effective integration of skill mapping and knowledge structure, the modularized curriculum reform of “Cultivation Technology of Northern Medicinal Herbs” in the context of the new GAP not only improves the quality of teaching, but also meets the personalized learning needs of the students, and provides a new direction for future education.

A deep understanding of the learning level of online learners is a critical factor in promoting the success of online learning. Using knowledge structures as a way to understand learning can help analyze online students' learning levels. The study used concept maps and clustering analysis to investigate online learners' knowledge structures in a flipped classroom's online learning environment. Concept maps (n = 359) constructed by 36 students during one semester (11 weeks) through the online learning platform were collected as analysis objects of learners' knowledge structures. Clustering analysis was used to identify online learners' knowledge structure patterns and learner types, and a non-parametric test was used to analyze the differences in learning achievement among learner types. The results showed that (1) there were three online learners' knowledge structure patterns of increasing complexity, namely, spoke, small-network, and large-network patterns. Moreover, online learners with novice status mostly had spoke patterns in the context of flipped classrooms' online learning. (2) Two types of online learners were found to have different distributions of knowledge structure patterns, and the complex knowledge structure type of learners exhibited better learning achievement. The study explored a new way for educators to analyze knowledge structures by data mining automatically. The findings provide evidence in the online learning context for the relationship between complex knowledge structures and better learning achievement while suggesting the existence of inadequate knowledge preparedness for flipped classroom learners without a special instructional design. Ozone, an important atmospheric constituent, affects various processes in the troposphere–stratosphere region and significantly contributes to climate and environmental change. The advancement of meteorological satellite technology has enabled the deployment of ozone detection instruments in space, providing accurate and global satellite ozone data in all weather conditions. This study employs scientometric methods, such as collaboration analysis, co-citation analysis, and keyword co-occurrence analysis to investigate the current status, trends, and future directions of satellite ozone research, with a broader search scope and more objective results compared with a manual review. Analyzing a dataset of 5320 bibliographic records from the WoS core collection database reveals the key intellectual frameworks shaping this field during the period from 2005 to 2023. The findings indicate that leading nations, like the United States, Germany, France, and China, along with their respective institutions and authors, spearhead satellite ozone research. Collaborative partnerships between the United States and European countries play a crucial role in advancing research efforts. Moreover, 20 distinct co-citation clusters identify the knowledge framework within the field, demonstrating a consistent progression over time. The focus has expanded from satellite ozone observation instruments to encompass broader areas, such as atmospheric pollution and environmental conditions, with "air quality" emerging as a prominent research area and future trend. Based on these insights, four major research directions are proposed: understanding atmospheric pollution mechanisms, improving ozone detection technologies, utilizing satellite ozone data for weather, and climate phenomena. This study aims to assist scholars by providing a comprehensive understanding of the developmental trajectory of satellite ozone research. Its results can serve as a valuable reference for researchers to identify relevant publications and journals efficiently. Online teacher professional development is widely regarded as a promising way to improve the quality of teachers and the effect of teaching. Micro-learning, which has the potential to fit the learner's personalized learning needs through a variety of small educational resources and flexible learning opportunities, could be an efficient way for the online teacher professional development. However, the scattered knowledge points and fragmented learning time in micro-learning may limit the learner's comprehension and the construction of knowledge. In this study, a knowledge map-based online micro-learning system was developed to solve this problem. To verify the effectiveness of the proposed system, a quasi-experiment was conducted during a three-week online course for teachers' professional development. A total of 42 in-service Mandarin teachers participated in the course, and were divided into two equal groups. An experimental group learned by using a knowledge map tool while a control group learned the same contents in the form of the conventional list type. The results indicate that the experimental group outperformed the control group in terms of learning engagement, and showed a clearer and more complete knowledge structure. The purpose of this article is to map the state-of-art of entropy, a knowledge domain which has drawn a great interest of researchers from a variety of academic fields in modern times. The journal Entropy, which focuses completely on entropy and is therefore regarded as the most prominent journal, has been purposefully chosen for this study in order to examine the intellectual structure of the field. Data from the Web of Science database for the years 2008 through 2021 were gathered. Scientometric indicators, literature growth, co-authorship, co-citation, keyword co-occurrences, co-word, citation, and bibliographic coupling, are studied using VOS Viewer. Highly cited papers, most prolific authors, countries and institutions are also identified. The results of the study admit that the linear growth trend of entropy articles has increased over the course of the investigation. Highest number of the publications were contributed from China, and the institution that contributed the most articles was the Chinese Academy of Sciences. A cluster analysis of the keywords shows that the research hotspots are primarily focused on "entropy," with the highest frequency and link strength. The high density of the co-words of "entropy," "information," "model" and "Shannon entropy" has also proved them to be the most mature and centralized area of entropy field. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The generation of rock mass disasters in underground engineering essentially arises from the disruption of the original three-dimensional stress equilibrium of the rock mass caused by excavation and other activities, leading to the redistribution of stress fields. During the excavation process, the engineering rock mass undergoes complex dynamic stress equilibrium processes involving loading and unloading. This equilibrium process promotes the nucleation, initiation, and propagation of pre-existing cracks in the surrounding rock, resulting in changes in the internal structure of the rock mass and a weakening of its strength. Eventually, this localized cracking extends to global failure. In order to understand the current status better and study the development trends in the study of crack propagation and evolution in defective rock, this study conducts a bibliometric analysis of 288 articles from the Web of Science Core Collection database using CiteSpace software (version 6.1.R4). The results indicate an increasing trend in the annual publication output, characterized by two phases of emergence and rapid development. The countries of China, the United States, and Iran have the highest publication output in this field. The most frequently cited journals include INT J ROCK MECH MIN, ENG FRACT MECH, and ROCK MECH ROCK ENG. This study provides a comprehensive analysis of the current status and development trends in the research on the propagation and evolution of pre-existing cracks. This study enhances the comprehension of crucial aspects of crack propagation and evolution in rock materials with defects. Business method (BM) has been recognized as a key factor for business innovation. BM patents are widely used to analyze and understand BM domains. However, previous studies have not considered the significant characteristics of the BM domain and patents, such as relative weight for knowledge flows and various knowledge interrelations among sub-domains. This study employed a hierarchical main path analysis that considered the relative difference in knowledge inheritances and identified the knowledge structure in the BM domain. In addition, the knowledge unconventionality metric was adopted to optimize knowledge diffusion in the last layer for forecasting further developmental directions. The empirical analysis showed that the BM domain consists of eight sub-domains, and each sub-domain has a high interrelationship with other sub-domains. Most dominant knowledge was invented based on different types of knowledge in different sub-domains. In particular, the overall trajectories and future directions were analyzed according to the changes in relative importance of sub-domains. The dominant patents, trajectories, and future directions for each sub-domain were analyzed based on the high knowledge persistence and end-node information of the main paths.

Clinicians have minimal time to search for and absorb the information needed while performing the duties of their medical practice. Their time-pressured situations requires the relevant information in search to be retrieved and presented in a more succinct form, such as in a short passage, rather than a whole page or document. In this context, clinical decision support (CDS) searches are beneficial when used to retrieve critical medical passages that can assist the practice of medical experts by offering appropriate medical information relevant to the medical case at hand. We present a novel CDS search framework designed for passage retrieval in order to support clinical decision-making using laboratory test results by incorporating proximity information. To do so, we use a knowledge structure that graphically visualizes key concepts and the corresponding relationships in a specific domain where nodes denote with their associative relationships. Furthermore, unlike previous studies that exploit knowledge structures during a re-ranking step, only dealing with initially highly retrieved passages, we utilize a knowledge structure for the purpose of query expansion. By doing so, our approach can unveil passages that are not retrieved during the initial retrieval process by including latent terms in the query list. We compared two models with/without edge pruning to capture a more latent relationship between terms. Our experiment showed that the embedded-based knowledge structure outperformed previous knowledge structure building approaches and other proximity-aware state-of-the-art models.

Abstract Background Health professionals are known to use various combinations of knowledge and skills, such as critical thinking, clinical reasoning, clinical judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making, in conducting clinical practice. Clinical reasoning development is influenced by knowledge and experience, the more knowledge and experience, the more sophisticated clinical reasoning will be. However, clinical reasoning research in dentistry shows varying results . Aims This study aims to observe the clinical reasoning pattern of undergraduate dental students when solving oral health problems, and their accordance with their knowledge acquisition. Material and methods This qualitative study employed the think-aloud method and the result was assessed through verbal protocol analyses. Five respondents from final year dental undergraduate students were agreed to participate. A unique hypothetical clinical scenario was used as a trigger. The audio data were transcribed, interpreted, and categorized as a clinical reasoning pattern; and the concept maps created were assessed by a Structure of Learning Outcomes (SOLO) taxonomy as knowledge acquisition. Results Observations on clinical reasoning patterns and the level of knowledge acquisition in five undergraduate dental students showed varying results. They applied clinical reasoning patterns according to their knowledge acquisition during didactical phase. Learners with inadequate knowledge relied on guessing, meanwhile learners with adequate knowledge applied more sophisticated reasoning pattern when solving problems. Conclusions Various problem-solving strategies were encountered in this study, which corresponded to the level of knowledge acquisition. Dental institutions must set minimum standards regarding the acquisition of conceptual knowledge accompanied by improvement of clinical reasoning skills, as well as refinement of knowledge and procedural skills.

Existing theory describes how family firms utilize a unique socioemotional reference point to frame strategic decision making, but scholars have not fully considered family-level strategy or changes in reference points. We theorize that as business-owning families are socialized with actors who provide new information, their collective knowledge structures are altered and, thus, the nature of reference points used in strategic decision making is impacted. Specifically, we link the socialization of next-generation family members to the temporal focus of reference points (i.e., backward or forward looking) and socialization into the capitalist class to the spatial focus of reference points (i.e., internally or externally oriented). Further, we theorize that the use of nonfamily professional advisors accelerates reference point shift. Our theory reveals the decisive role of social capital in reference point change and sheds light on how business-owning families may break free from old strategic frames. In doing so our framework provides a route to explore the sociocognitive processes underlying reference points' development and use, as well as sensemaking and interpretation more generally. Diabetes Mellitus (DM) causes global exhaustion, consumes economic resources, and has several risk factors. The bibliometric studies re-evaluate the research efforts on this illness using mathematical and statistical tools to indicate current research and future trends. This study examines KSA's DM research during 2010-2021. Data were acquired from Scopus and analyzed using VOSviewer and MS Excel. Several characteristics were examined to measure the quantity and quality of KSA-related DM articles. In total, 1,919 journal and conference papers were published. DM research included researchers from multidisciplinary sectors. Thirty-seven percent of them have ten or more scientific publications. Al-Daghri, N.M. (King Saud University) leads the pack. In total, 757 (39.44%) research projects got funding from 159 sources within and outside KSA. Memish, Z.A. is the most cited author. The Saudi Medical Journal has the most citations (1214). Al-Daghri, N.M. (KSU) collaborates the most. One hundred forty-one nations aided KSA's diabetes research. Egypt's High Institute of Public Health has the most scientific collaboration with KSA. Authors' and all Keywords analyses indicated a rich knowledge structure. Diabetes Care Journal has the most cocitations with 2,220 and a total link strength of 19,283, followed by The New England Journal of Medicine. This experimental investigation seeks to confirm and extend previous investigations that resource interdependence vs. independence during problem-solving relatively extends the problem representation phase before convergence on a solution. In this current investigation, ninth-grade Korean native language participants (n = 240) worked online to complete either a well-structured or an ill-structured problem in either independent triads where all of the members were provided with all of the information needed to solve the problem, or in interdependent triads where members were each provided with different portions of the information needed. The discussions were analyzed using a content analysis rubric from Engelmann and Hesse (JAMA 5:299–319, 2010), and knowledge structures were elicited as concept maps and essays and then analyzed using a graph-theoretic psychometric network scaling approach. Analysis of transcripts of the triad interactions showed a similar pattern of divergence and then convergence for the well-structured and the ill-structured problems that confirmed the previous investigations. As anticipated, interdependent triads performed relatively better on the ill-structured problem perhaps due to the extended divergence phase, while independent triads were better on the well-structured problem perhaps due to a rapid transition to the convergence phase. Knowledge structure analysis of group maps shows that the interdependent triad maps resembled the fully explicated problem space, while the independent triad maps most resembled the narrow problem solution space. Suggestions for practice include first increasing students' awareness of divergent and convergent thinking, allowing enough time for the activity, and also requiring teams to submit a problem space artifact before working on a solution. This article is a bibliometric study with open-source tools, such as R-Studio, the biblioshiny package, and VOSviewer, to analyze the data and help visualize the network for presenting knowledge structure, characteristics, and global research trends, such as the production of annual publications, influential resources, most relevant or prolific authors, publication networks that co-citations, authors' international collaboration, the scientific production of each country or each institution, and future trends. This study examined 1,580 articles published in international journals in the Scopus database on smart education from 1986 to 2022. The most annual scientific production will be in 2021, at 296 articles. The most relevant sources are Smart Innovation, Systems and Technologies. The most influential author is Gwo-Jen Hwang. The most cited article has 293 citations. Trend topics that began to gain attention from 2021 -- the present is Artificial Intelligence, COVID-19 and Smart Education, Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things in Motor Themes will be developed further and remain the dominant topics in this research field. The literature has widely recognized entrepreneurial intention as the best variable for predicting entrepreneurial behaviour. Entrepreneurial education represents a possible way to foster that intention. The interest in stimulating entrepreneurship activity has led to a growth in the number and disparity of publications that analyse the entrepreneurship education-entrepreneurial intention. This paper carries out a bibliometric analysis using bibliographic coupling to map the field's knowledge structure. This study's results contribute to the field complementing the previous literature reviews by addressing and verifying the development of the research lines proposed by them. Our approach is methodologically original, analysing the clusters in the network, including a characterization of each of them and the most significant and representative cited references for each group. Among the main conclusions, we find that although the theoretical base of most of the studies is found in classic theories, some alternative approaches dealing with emotional variables, mentality approaches, or psychological traits are more frequent in recent years and can play an important role in the future of the field, as the factors related to the intention-to-behaviour transition are a central focus of current research. Additionally, the contradictory results in past studies have focused the new developments around the influence of contextual factors that constitute an essential new direction for this research. Purpose: To analyze publication trends for the past 20 years and identify potential research trends in the retinitis pigmentosa (RP) research field. Methods: We extracted data from the Web of Science Core Collection and conducted a bibliometric analysis. All records related to RP from 2002 to 2021 were analyzed. The co-occurrence maps of keywords were generated by VOSviewer v.1.6.17 to identify knowledge structure and research trends in the RP research field. Results: Totally 1976 publications from 2002 to 2021 were included in this study. The United States ranked first in the number of publications, citations and H-index. INVESTIGATIVE OPHTHALMOLOGY VISUAL SCIENCE was the most prolific journal in the RP research field. LEAGUE OF EUROPEAN RESEARCH UNIVERSITIES LERU had the greatest output in the RP research field. Tsang SH contributed to the highest number of publications in the RP research field. All keywords were divided into three clusters: (1) gene mutations, (2) pathophysiological changes, and (3) diagnosis and management in the RP research field. Average appearing years of keywords were evaluated and most of the recently appearing keywords focused on the pathophysiological changes. Conclusions: By bibliometric analysis, the knowledge structure of RP research field was identified.
