Fetal brain tumors are rare. Teratoma is the most common histological type. Their evolution is often fatal. Ultrasound and magnetic resonance imaging allows for early antenatal diagnosis. However, definitive diagnosis is based on histologic examination. Placental metastases are rare and complicate more often the course of malignant melanomas, hemopathies, breast and bronchial cancers. In pregnant women who have recently had a cancer, anatomopathologic examination of the placenta should be requested to detect tumor invasion. Similarly, neonatal assessment and extended pediatric follow-up are required. The establishment of registries collecting all cancer cases diagnosed among pregnant woman is essential for a better understanding of the epidemiology of these cancers as well as of maternal and paediatric prognostic factors. Spontaneous neonatal gastric perforation is rare. We report the case of a newborn without any abnormality identified at delivery and whose mother had problem-free pregnancy. On the third day of life, he had a sudden onset of severe abdominal distension followed by bilious vomiting. Abdominal X-rays without treatment showed massive pneumoperitoneum and laparotomy showed a perforation at the level of the anterior gastric wall closed in a single layer closure. Postoperative course was uneventful. Spontaneous neonatal gastric perforation usually has a favorable outcome. Hence the importance of early diagnosis and patient management.

Hepatic hematoma is a condition of unrecognized origin which can become extremely serious and whose diagnosis is often made during perinatal autopsy. It is often characterised by nonspecific clinical manifestations and a long delay before biological presentation.The diagnosis is essentially based on ultrasound and treatment is often conservative.We here report a case of a full-term newborn with asymptomatic hepatic haematoma due to obstetrical trauma.

The following case study reports three cases of neonatal bacterial parotiditis observed over a period of seven months. Diagnosis is often based on patient's clinical features: they typically include hyperthermia, swelling, erythema, warmth as well as local tenderness and purulent discharge at Stensen duct during the massage of the parotid. The clinical diagnosis is confirmed by ultrasound and by culture of parotid purulent secretion. They are mainly of nosocomial origin and are generally caused by prematurity and dehydration. Early treatment improves patient outcome. Risk factors such as age should lead clinicians to start empiric antibiotic therapy first and then antibiotic therapy based on direct examination of pus extracted from Stensen duct. Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus Viridans and anaerobic germs are most commonly isolated. Acute parotiditis are extremely rare in the neonatal period: less than 50 cases have been reported in the literature. We here report three rather peculiar cases.
