Abstract

Few studies have examined how biases operate in combination to influence performance judgments. This experiment tested four competing models of the combined influence of contextual information and ratee bodyweight. Results were consistent with an additive model, such that assimilation and negative effects of overweight status combined independently to affect judgments. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
