Currently, a new impetus for the innovative development of the Russian economy is associated with the formation and implementation of measures within the framework of the National Technology Initiative, aimed at the expansion of national high-tech companies into world markets. At the same time, there is a large-scale consumer of Industry 4.0 technologies in the domestic market – the extractive sector of the Russian industry, in need of technological support for innovative modernization. Today, the mining industry around the world is in a process of technological transformation, as digital and automated technologies are transforming traditional technologies for the extraction of energy and non-energy minerals. In the era of volatile global demand for raw materials, stricter safety and environmental requirements and dwindling profits, the mining industry must increase its investment attractiveness by radically increasing productivity as a result of the introduction of intelligent mining systems. Thus, new technological requirements of the Russian mining industry can be satisfied within the key areas of the National Technology Initiative. For this, it is important to unite the efforts of representatives of business, the scientific and educational community, the state, and international partners in the interests of the technological modernization of the mining complex as a factor of national economy development.

In the context of the transition of mineral extractive economies to sustainable development, the role of scientific and innovative support of this process is increasing. Universities are key components of this structural breakthrough. For the Russian economy, interaction and competition between federal universities are especially important, which, on the one hand, offer new technologies of "green" mining, and on the other, they form a high-tech breakthrough. The authors of the study have analyzed the competitiveness of Russian federal universities based on a developed methodology. This allows them to identify leaders and outsiders among these educational organizations and determine their strengths and weaknesses. The results allow the authors to determine the competitiveness of federal universities based on aggregated indicators that consider the influence of internal and external environment factors. The developed and tested methodology is based on the performance indicators of educational organizations, the "Project 5-100" indicators, and the indicators of international competitiveness.

To assess the impact of sustainable development on social well- being, it is necessary to emphasize its objective and subjective factors. The complex of objective factors of well-being of modern society, in all sectors of which highly productive production of tangible and intangible goods dominates, is organically connected with the innovative development of environmentally-friendly technologies, the international diffusion of innovations in the field of “green economy”. Accordingly, the objective factors of well-being in the system of sustainable development include, firstly, reproductive ones, such as the availability of new technologies of the “green economy” and the frequency of their replacement, the productivity of resource-saving industries, the inter-sectoral expansion of the replacement of non-renewable resources, and government support for environmental entrepreneurship. Secondly, here we include the prevailing mechanisms of factor distribution and redistribution of income – the formation of natural and intellectual rents, the pricing of natural resources and the return on investment in the production of the “green economy”. Finally, thirdly, the important objective factors of social well-being in the system of sustainable development are those institutional norms that determine both production and environmental processes in the national economy. The complex result of these processes development is the environmental well-being.

Due to the availability of earth sources there is necessary to provide business sustainability that refers the effort of a company to reduce negative impacts on social, environmental and economic area. This can be search through various indexes that are directly or indirectly influencing effectiveness of any business, not excluding mining industry presenting base of industries in number of countries. The objective of the paper is to evaluate and compare business environment in area of earth sources in V4 countries according Global competitiveness index, Doing Business and Index of business environment with aim to identify obstacles that limit business development. From the results we can evaluate that business with earth sources has number of obstacles that company must overcome with aim that earth sources can be further sold at a favourable price. Business with earth sources in V4 could be improved by permanent development of innovation for increasing of effectiveness in area of mining and processing, as well as better conditions for starting businessmen.

The transition to the use of the new equipment requires a revision of previously established dependencies, which constitute the methodological basis for optimization to ensure the highly efficientoperation of technological equipment of the excavator-and-dump truckcomplex that performs all technological processes of overburden. The imperfection of the existing methods of optimization is due to the use, as a rule, of empirical formulas for the obsolete equipment installed to calculatethe performance, so replacing or partially adjusting these dependencies, including methods and tools for determining process parameters, is anurgent task. Therefore, it is important to establish the parameters of each ofthe conjugate technological processes for the development of hard rock and half-rock overburden, which together provide the optimal results of the entire excavator-and-dump truck complex. The article considers the use of excavator-and-dump truck complex optimization as a criterion for the average weighted size of pieces of exploded rock mass, which allows determining the optimal parameters of each of the associated technological processes, their costs, as well as the total costs of the technology as a whole.

In present time, the human potencial of workers become a decisive business firm strategy. To increase the value of each person, it is necessary to start at universities. Universities of technical orientation have greatiest success in far application of their gradutes in practice. To increace the credit of our students, F BERG introduced the manager information system, Navission Attain, to the education process as one of the first at Technical University in Koice.

Abstract Background Blood flow between the right and left ventricles is subject to the continuity equation and systolic ventricular interdependence. Quantification of this relationship might aid in understanding inter-ventricular function. The purpose of this study was to evaluate and quantify ventricular interdependence by directly comparing right and left ventricular systolic function though echocardiographic surrogates of right and left ventricular systolic function such as MAPSE, TAPSE, RV TVI and LV TVI. Methods This study prospectively evaluated 51 healthy participants (mean age, 41 ± 17 years) by resting echocardiography. In addition to standard measurements, tricuspid annular plane of systolic excursion, (TAPSE), mitral annular plane of systolic excursion (MAPSE), and the peak annulus systolic velocity of the right ventricular (RVs) and left ventricular (LVs) free walls were measured by M-mode and pulsed wave Doppler tissue echocardiography and further evaluated for variance across age, gender, and body surface area. Results TAPSE (22.1 ± 2.9 mm) was over 54.5% greater than MAPSE (14.3 ± 2.6 mm) and RVs was 64.4% greater than LVs. The LV to RV systolic relationship measured by MAPSE/TAPSE and LVs/RVs ratios were 0.66 ± 0.14 and 0.76 ± 0.21 respectively. These values were not significantly affected by age, gender or body surface area (BSA). Conclusion MAPSE/TAPSE and LVs/RVs ratios appear stable across age, gender, and BSA potentially making them good surrogates of systolic ventricular relationship and interdependence.

Abstract D-Ribose, a pentose sugar, has shown to improve myocardial high-energy phosphate stores depleted by ischemia. This study investigated the ability of D-Ribose with low dose dobutamine to improve the contractile response of viable myocardium to dobutamine and to assess the efficacy of D-ribose in reducing stress-induced ischemia. Twenty-six patients with ischemic cardiomyopathy completed a two-day, randomized, double blind crossover trial comparing the effects of D-Ribose and placebo on regional wall motion. On the first study day, either D-Ribose or placebo was infused for 4.5 hours. Low (5 and 10 μ/kg/min) and subsequently, high (up to 50 μ/kg/min) dose dobutamine echocardiography was then performed. On the second study day, patients crossed over to the alternative article for a similar 4.5 hours infusion time period and underwent a similar evaluation. The wall motion response during low dose dobutamine was the same with D-Ribose and placebo in 77% of segments (203/263, Kappa = 0.37). In segments with discordant responses, more segments improved with D-Ribose than with placebo (41 vs. 19 segments, p = 0.006). With high dose dobutamine infusion, the wall motion response (ischemia vs. no ischemia) was the same with D-Ribose and placebo in 83% of interpretable segments (301/363, kappa = 0.244). In segments with discordant responses, there were more ischemic segments with placebo compared to D-Ribose (36 vs. 26, p = 0.253). Nineteen patients developed ischemia during the dobutamine and placebo infusion and 13 patients had ischemia during dobutamine and D-ribose infusion (p = 0.109). D-Ribose improved contractile responses to dobutamine in viable myocardium with resting dysfunction but had no significant effect in reducing the frequency of stress-induced wall motion abnormalities.

This research evaluates the extended unified theory of acceptance and use of technology (UTAUT) model from the context of mobile-based learning using smartphones amid COVID-19. It specifically examines the impact of exogenous variables such as social isolation besides standard dimensions and mediating variables such as perceived compatibility, perceived anxiety, and perceived value on mobile learning technology. The research also explores the impact of service quality and technological innovation as moderating variables on the modified and extended UTAUT model. The data for this research was gathered from 898 students in technologically advanced countries, for instance, Canada, the United Kingdom, Spain, France, the United States, Australia, and Germany. The outcomes of this research show that the exogenous dimensions of the UTAUT model, such as social isolation, have an affirmative and significant association with the behavioral intent to adopt mobile-based learning in an online education environment. The study's findings further exhibited that the mediating dimensions, such as perceived anxiety, perceived compatibility, and perceived value, have a robust and affirmative association between exogenous and endogenous factors. Moreover, the results demonstrated a strong influence of technological innovation and service quality on the association between independent and dependent factors. The presented article investigates the effects of technical innovations in administrative buildings on the financial side of the business, with a main focus on reducing energy costs and energy consumption. The administrative buildings in a business contribute significantly to the business's total energy consumption. The basic pillar of Industry 4.0 is the optimization of resources such as energy, which, in production enterprises, represents economic value—costs. The article is orientated to investigate the effect of the technical innovations of administrative buildings on the financial side of the enterprise, with a main focus on reducing energy costs and energy consumption. This research was conducted in Slovakia's manufacturing sector. In this research, we used economic and financial analysis and economic indicators. This research was conducted between 2019 and 2023. In this period, the results were positive. The results indicated a reduction in energy consumption of 143 GJ (39,722 kWh), reduced energy costs of EUR 6356, reduction in the energy cost structure of 1.3%, and the indicator, the payback period, was determined to be in the range of 6 to 12 years for individual technical innovations. The new design of administrative buildings is an advantage for manufacturing enterprises and can be used as a marketing tool to attract both customers and suppliers. The suggested energy, environmental, and economic sustainability model will allow production enterprises to improve their energy use in administrative buildings. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Arachidonic acid (AA) metabolites have been associated with several diseases across various organ systems, including the cardiovascular, pulmonary, and renal systems. Lipid mediators generated from AA oxidation have been studied to control macrophages, T-cells, cytokines, and fibroblasts, and regulate inflammatory mediators that induce vascular remodeling and dysfunction. AA is metabolized by cyclooxygenase (COX), lipoxygenase (LOX), and cytochrome P450 (CYP) to generate anti-inflammatory, pro-inflammatory, and pro-resolutory oxidized lipids. As comorbid states such as diabetes, hypertension, and obesity become more prevalent in cardiovascular disease, studying the expression of AA pathway genes and their association with these diseases can provide unique pathophysiological insights. In addition, the AA pathway of oxidized lipids exhibits diverse functions across different organ systems, where a lipid can be both anti-inflammatory and pro-inflammatory depending on the location of metabolic activity. Therefore, we aimed to characterize the gene expression of these lipid enzymes and receptors throughout multi-organ diseases via a transcriptomic meta-analysis using the Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO) Database. In our study, we found that distinct AA pathways were expressed in various comorbid conditions, especially those with prominent inflammatory risk factors. Comorbidities, such as hypertension, diabetes, and obesity appeared to contribute to elevated expression of pro-inflammatory lipid mediator genes. Our results demonstrate that expression of inflammatory AA pathway genes may potentiate and attenuate disease; therefore, we suggest further exploration of these pathways as therapeutic targets to improve outcomes. Heart failure (HF) with preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF) is the most common cause of pulmonary hypertension (PH) worldwide and is strongly associated with adverse clinical outcomes. The American Heart Association recently highlighted a call to action regarding the distinct lack of evidence-based treatments for PH due to poorly understood pathophysiology of PH attributable to HFpEF (PH-HFpEF). Prior studies have described cardiophysiological mechanisms to explain the development of isolated postcapillary PH (ipc-PH); however, the consequent increase in pulmonary vascular (PV) resistance (PVR) may lead to the less understood and more fatal combined pre- and postcapillary PH (cpc-PH). Metabolic disease and inflammatory dysregulation have been suggested to predispose PH, yet the molecular mechanisms are unknown. Although PH-HFpEF has been studied to partly share vasoactive neurohormonal mediators with primary pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH), clinical trials that have targeted these pathways have been unsuccessful. The increased mortality of patients with PH-HFpEF necessitates further study into viable mechanistic targets involved in disease progression. We aim to summarize the current pathophysiological and clinical understanding of PH-HFpEF, highlight the role of known molecular mechanisms in the progression of PV disease, and introduce a novel concept that lipid metabolism may be attenuating and propagating PH-HFpEF. Because of the plethora of genetic manipulations available in the mouse, we performed a partial nephrectomy in the mouse and examined whether the phenotypical features of uremic cardiomyopathy described in humans and rats were also present in the murine model. A 5/6 nephrectomy was performed using a combination of electrocautory to decrease renal mass on the left kidney and right surgical nephrectomy. This procedure produced substantial and persistent hypertension as well as increases in circulating concentrations of marinobufagenin. Invasive physiological measurements of cardiac function demonstrated that the 5/6 nephrectomy resulted in impairment of both active and passive left ventricular relaxation at 4 wk whereas tissue Doppler imaging detected changes in diastolic function after 6 wk. Morphologically, hearts demonstrated enlargement and progressive fibrosis, and biochemical measurements demonstrated downregulation of the sarcoplasmic reticulum calcium ATPase as well as increases in collagen-1, fibronectin, and vimentin expression.
