Background and Aim: Inactivity increases the risk of chronic diseases. The aim of the present study was to investigate the acute changes in Normetanephrine and glucose in boxing with Kinect Xbox with and without blood flow restriction as an alternative to aerobic exercise during quarantine in young non-athletes. Material and Methods: Fourteen healthy non-athlete individuals with a range of 20 to 40 years of age were randomly and purposefully selected. And on two different days with and without restriction of blood flow, they played boxing with Xbox 360 for 20 minutes. Blood samples were taken before and immediately after Results: There was a significant increase in serum Normetanephrine playing compared to before the test in both training groups, but the amount of changes between the two groups with and without blood flow restriction was not significant (P≤0.05). Exergames, in the case of unrestricted blood flow, has a significant effect on glucose, but the restriction of blood flow did not lead to a significant difference in the amount of glucose (P≤0.05). Conclusion: Exergames provide the necessary stimulus for catecholamine secretion and glucose response, and it is recommended for people with limited blood flow. Further studies are needed on the effect of restricting blood flow as a new training method on video game with movement.

Background and objective: Resistance training is a potential stimulus to increase muscle protein synthesis and the time under tension of muscle is one of the variables of strength training that contributes to its adaptation. The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of resistance training with slow and fast speeds on some anabolic and catabolic hormones in healthy young women. Methods: This quasi- experimental study was conducted on 20 female students (mean age 21.65±2.03 years). The subjects were randomly and equally assigned to two groups with a time under tension of 1s-1s (fast contraction speed (FCS)) and 3s-3s (slow contraction speed (SCS)). The training load was the same in both groups and resistance training was done in a circular manner for six weeks, three days a week in eight stations. Blood samples were taken from the subjects to study the research variables before the training period and 48h after the last session of the training. Results: There was no significant difference between the serum levels of GH(P = 0.82), IGF-1(P = 0.13) and cortisol(P = 0.59) in both groups, but the levels of myostatin in the fast group increased and in the slow group decreased, and the difference between the two groups was significant (P = 0.04). Also, in the strength test, the slow group experienced further increased strength. (P = 0.02) Conclusion: : Although no significant changes in the levels of IGF-1, myostatin, and cortisol is observed in intragroup comparison at six weeks, resistance training with slow contraction speed can lead to further increases in the growth hormone levels and strength.

Introduction Diabetes is the most common glandular disease in the world. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of six weeks of increasing endurance training with L-carnitine supplementation on Bax / Bcl-2 and oxidative stress indices in the cardiac tissue of diabetic rats. Materials and Methods In this experimental study, 45 male Wistar rats (weighing 20 ± 250 gr) were randomly divided into 6 groups: healthy control, diabetic control, sham, exercise, L carnitine, and exercise and L-carnitine. Rats were diabetic with injected 95 mg nicotinamide by intraperitoneal injection and after 15 minutes of injection, 55 mg STZ per body weight. Rats receiving El Carnitine received daily 100 mg of l-carnitine orally. The aerobic exercise program was started 5 days a week, for six days, with a gradient of zero degree, speed of 10 m and time of 10 minutes in the first week and the final week of gradient it reached 5 degree, speed of 20 m and time of 40 minutes. The variables were measured by ELISA and ASA kits and in the heart tissue. One-way ANOVA and Tukeychr('39')s post hoc test were used to analyze the data using the Shapiro Wylak test. Results The results showed that increasing endurance training and L-carnitine consumption had a significant effect on GPX (P = 0.001), MDA (P = 0.001), and Bax / Bcl2 heart rate (P = 0.001) in diabetic rats. Conclusion It seem The research results confirm the role of aerobic exercise and L-carnitine in improving apoptosis and oxidative stress in type 2 diabetic rats.

Objective: This study aimed to investigate the effects of moderate to high-intensity aerobic exercise on HbA1c (Glycated hemoglobin), FBS (fasting blood sugar) and cognitive function in mild cognitive impairment prediabetes patients. Materials and Methods: Seventeen elderly mild cognitive impairment (age 55-70) men and women were selected and were randomly divided into 2 groups as aerobic (n=10) and control (n=10). Six subjects were excluded during the study. Finally, 14 subjects were continued the exercise program. Assessments were done at baseline and 12 weeks after intervention. The 12-weeks aerobic exercise program consisted of 90 min sessions in length 3 days per week under the supervision of the exercise specialist. Cognitive function, HbA1c, and FBS were evaluated. The differences in all variables (one way ANOVA), correlation (Pearson single correlation) and relative changes between baseline and 12 weeks (paired T-tests) were investigated. Results: HbA1c, FBS decreased significantly in the aerobic group whereas cognitive function increased significantly after 12 weeks aerobic (P-value< 0.05 for all). Also, the change of cognitive function was significantly associated with a change of FBS (r= -0.84) after a 12-week aerobic exercise (P-value: 0.011). Differences between groups in HbA1c, FBS and cognitive function (Mini-Mental State Examination) were not significant. Conclusion: Aerobic exercise may improve HbA1c, FBS and subsequently cognitive function in prediabetes elderly subjects. Therefore, a decrease in glycemic indicators could lead to improve cognitive function.

Objective: The use of non-enzymatic antioxidants in the form of dietary supplements has a positive effect on reducing oxidative stress, and preventing apoptosis as they interrupt free radicals. The aim of this study was to investigate the aerobic exercise and L-carnitine consumption impacts on diabetes induced apoptosis, oxidative stress factors, and mitochondrial enzymes in rats. Materials and Methods: In this Clinical trial study, 45 male Wistar rats (200-300 g) were divided into six groups including sham, healthy control, diabetic control, diabetic & L-carnitine, diabetic & aerobic exercise, diabetic receiving L-carnitine & aerobic exercise . The rats attained a diabetic state with a single dose of STZ intraperitoneal injection (55 mg/kg body weight) and receiving L-carnitine 100 mg per day. The aerobic exercise protocol including five sessions per week was administered. The heart tissues of the dependent variables were measured by ELISA 24 hours after the last session of the exercise program. One-way ANOVA and Tukey's post hoc test at P-value< 0.05 were used to analyze the data. Results: result show that aerobic exercise and L-carnitine consumption have a significant effect on BAX (P-value= 0.001), Bcl-2 (P-value= 0.001), and SOD (P-value= 0.001) in diabetic rats. Conclusion: The results of the present study confirm the role of aerobic exercise and L-carnitine in improving the indices of apoptosis and oxidative stress in type 2 diabetic rats

Introduction: The central-governor model explains the mechanism of endurance exercise-induced central fatigue, but high-intensity exercise-induced central fatigue has not been investigated yet. This study aimed to research how central fatigue during high-intensity intermittent pedaling alters the neural response, which results in electroencephalography (EEG) recordings. Methods: We assessed neural response by measuring the alternation of brainwave spectral power during an intermittent high-intensity 60-minute exercise on an ergometer cycle. The cadences were changed every 10 minutes according to intermittent pattern altering (90-120-60-120-60-90 rpm). EEG was used to analyze altering brain function. Heart rate (HR), blood lactate (BL), and rating of perceived exertion (RPE) were measured after the change in cadences. Results: HR, BL, and RPE increased at a cadence of 120 rpm compared with 60 rpm on the ergometer cycle. The spectral power of EEG, according to cadence × brainwaves, significantly increased (P˂0.01) in the alpha and beta frequency ranges with a change in cadences between 60 rpm and 120 rpm. The spectral power of the EEG significantly increased (P˂0.01) over the whole frequency range from rest to warming (theta: 251%, alpha: 165%, beta: 145%) and significantly reduced in theta, alpha, and beta (theta: 176%, alpha: 142%, beta: 77%) (P≤0.01). Conclusion: High-intensity exercises (90 and 120 cadences) increased brain function, regardless of fatigue occurrence. High-intensity interval training (HIIT) led to altering the neural response. It would be required to investigate the usefulness of HIIT to treat some of the psychotic disorders.

Objective: The study aimed to determine the effect of eight weeks high intensity interval (HIIT) and sub-maximal continuous trainings on plasma betatrophin level in diabetic rats treated with metformin. Materials and Methods: In this experimental study, 42 diabetic wistar rats were divided into six groups (n=7): diabetic control (C), diabetic control + metformin consumption(C+M), diabetic HIIT, diabetic HIIT + metformin (HIIT+M), diabetic sub-maximal continuous training (SMCT), and diabetic sub-maximal continuous training + metformin (SMCT+M). Metformin was given 150 mg/kg/day by gavage every day, 48 hours after the end of the last training session, the rats were sacrificed. Then blood glucose and glycated hemoglobin (HbA1c) levels were measured. One-way ANOVA test was used for statistical analysis of data. Results: The level of plasma betatrophin was significantly different in the HIIT (P-value= 0.01) and C+M (P-value= 0.001) groups compared to C group. Blood glucose was significantly decreased in all training groups with or without betatrophin compared with the diabetic control group (P-value= 0.001). However, there were no significant changes between glucose levels in HIIT, HIIT+M, SMCT, and SMCT+M groups but SMCT showed most reduction in blood glucose. Conclusion: Treatment with metformin did not change blood glucose but two types of exercise training with high and moderate intensity reduced blood glucose thus exercise can be a good alternative modality rather than taking medicine.

This study compared the effects of lower- versus higher-intensity isometric handgrip exercise on resting blood pressure (BP) and associated clinical markers in adults with hypertension. Thirty-nine males were randomly assigned to one of three groups, including isometric handgrip at 60% maximal voluntary contraction (IHG-60), isometric handgrip at 30% IHG-30, or a control group (CON) that had been instructed to continue with their current activities of daily living. The volume was equated between the exercise groups, with IHG-60 performing 8 × 30-s contractions and IHG-30 performing 4 × 2-min contractions. Training was performed three times per week for 8 weeks. Resting BP (median [IQR]), flow-mediated dilation, heart rate variability, and serum markers of inflammation and oxidative stress were measured pre- and post-intervention. Systolic BP was significantly reduced for IHG-60 (−15.5 mmHg [−18.75, −7.25]) and IHG-30 (−5.0 mmHg [−7.5, −3.5]) compared to CON (p < 0.01), but no differences were observed between both the exercise groups. A greater reduction in diastolic BP was observed for IHG-60 (−5.0 mmHg [−6.0, −4.25] compared to IHG-30 (−2.0 mmHg [−2.5, −2.0], p = 0.042), and for both exercise groups compared to CON (p < 0.05). Flow-mediated dilation increased for both exercise groups versus CON (p < 0.001). IHG-30 had greater reductions in interleukin-6 and tumor necrosis factor-α compared to the other groups (p < 0.05) and CON (p = 0.018), respectively. There was a reduction in Endothelin-1 for IHG-60 compared to CON (p = 0.018). Both the lower- and higher-intensity IHG training appear to be associated with reductions in resting BP and improvements in clinical markers of inflammation and oxidative stress.

Objective: Type2 diabetes (T2DM) as a metabolic disease is associated with absolute or relative insulin deficiency, increased blood glucose and carbohydrate metabolism disorders which is considered as risk factors of other diseases such as cardiovascular diseases. In the present study, the effect of eight weeks of high intensity interval training (HIIT) on lipid profile (TG, LDL and HDL), glucose and glycated hemoglobin (HbA1c) levels in streptozotocin-induced diabetic rats was investigated. Materials and Methods: Sixty male Wistar rats were randomly divided into six groups: healthy, diabetic, diabetic + metformin, healthy + training, diabetic + training and diabetic + training + Metformin. The training groups performed eight weeks of HIIT. Metformin was given 150 mg / kg to the rats by gavage every day. T2DM was induced by injection of nicotinamide and streptozotocin and 48 hours after the end of last training session, the rats were sacrificed. Then lipid profile, blood glucose and HbA1c were measured. One way analysis of variance (ANOVA) test was used for statistical analysis. Results: The results of this study showed that TG levels were low in diabetic training and diabetic + training + metformin groups compared to the diabetic group (P-value: 0.0001). There weren't any significant differences between total cholesterol, LDL-c and HDL-c levels between groups. Blood glucose levels were significantly lower in diabetic + training and diabetic + training + metformin groups compared to diabetic controls (P-value: 0.0001). HbA1c levels were significantly lower in diabetic + training and diabetic + training + metformin than in diabetic group (P-value: 0.0001). Conclusion: According to the results of this study, it seems that severe periodic exercise can be considered as an important strategy for improving lipid profiles and blood glucose control in T2DM patients.

Background: The aim of the present study was to investigate the effect of time of day on ischemic response, and exercise test indexes in persons with symptoms of chronic stable angina. Methods: We selected 24 volunteers with symptoms of chronic stable angina aged 45 to 65 years with average age of 55.4 ± 6.2. All the participants performed exercise test with treadmill (Bruce protocol) at two times, morning (8-10 am) and evening (3-5 pm) with interval of 96 hours. Considering individual ischemic responses (rate of ST segment depression during recovery and testing, starting stage of changes, and the number of leads with ST segment depression), the risk of developing coronary artery disease (CAD) was graded as negative, and low-risk and high-risk positive, and eventually the risk of CAD development and change of exercise test indexes [metabolic equivalents (METs), heart rate, blood pressure, rate-pressure product (RPP), time, distance, and rate of perceived exertion] were compared between morning and evening exercise tests. Findings: The subjects developed more intense ischemic response in the evening exercise test (rise of ST segment depression, the start of ST segment depression at earlier stage, and increasing number of leads) (P < 0.5). But exercise test indexes did not show any significant change between morning and evening exercise test (P > 0.5). Conclusion: Ischemia response is considered as the most important achievement of exercise test, subject to the time of exercise test, but it is not clear enough that which test (morning or evening) is well indicative of coronary artery stenosis, so it needs to be investigated further.

Introduction: Telomeres are DNA portions that are located on the two ends of the chromosome. Telomeres play an important role in cellular life. Exercise is one of the factors that contributes to their control. The purpose of the present study was to investigate the effect of 8 weeks of high intensity interval training (HIIT) on telomere length and telomerase activity in non-athletic young men. Materials and methods: 30 inactive students were selected as sample and randomly divided into two groups of exercise (15 people) and control (15 people) in this semi-experimental study. The exercise group performed 8 weeks of HIIT exercise in 3 sessions per week with an intensity of 150 to 175% of their maximum power (Pmax). Control group subjects did not do regular sport activities. To measure telomere length and telomerase activity, 10 ml of blood was taken from the brachial vein of the subjects 24 hours before the first and after the last exercise session. The dependent t was used to analyze intra-group and independent t for within-group differences. Results: The findings of this study showed that 8 weeks of HIIT training in non-athlete young men resulted in a significant increase in telomere length (P = 0.001) and telomerase activity (P = 0.001). Conclusion: It seems that HIIT can alter telomerase activity and telomere length. Therefore, these training may have a positive effect on cell biology.

Introduction: Myocardial infarction (MI) is associated with increased oxidative stress and reduced antioxidants. Some studies have shown that exercise training increases the serum level antioxidants. Therefore, this study investigated the effect of rehabilitation training on antioxidant status in patients with myocardial infarction. Materials and methods: In this study, 20 patients with myocardial infarction were selected and randomly assigned to training group (n=10) or control group (n=10). Training program included 3 sessions of concurrent training per week for eight consecutive weeks. To measure the values of malondialdehyde (MDA), protein carbonylation (PC) and total antioxidant capacity (TAC), 10 ml of blood were taken pre- and post-training in each patient. Objectives: In this study for surveying the relation between exercise and immune cell, we examine the effect of Effect of 8 weeks endurance training on immune system cell changes with recovery period. Study design: Experimental study Methods: participant of this research including health and yang males that were randomized divided into two groups :( ETG) endurance training groups with 15 men; and (CG) 13 men in to control group. Different factor of anthropometric characteristics (i.e. age, weight & height) and also white blood cell (i.e. lymphocyte, neutrophils, monocytes) were experimented. In this study, subjects, runs on a treadmill for 15-30 min at 50 % - 70% maximal Heart rate for 8 weeks, with Venous blood sample was taken at pre, post and at 24- hours and 48-hours after exercise. For data analyze, we used of one -way using repeated-measurements ANOVA, in SPSS12. And also Significance was evaluated as P < 0.05.In addition, all values are expressed as mean ± standard deviation. Results: we found that lymphocyte level increased after 4th week and 48h-recovery, but decreased after 8th week (Mid-exercise), and 24h- recovery in exercise group. Also levels of Neutrophils and Monocytes decreased after after 4th week (Mid-exercise), post- exercise (8th week), 24h- recovery and 48h-recoveries in exercise group. Conclusion: These data demonstrate that a period endurance exercise leads to Levels changes of leukocytes after exercise and recovery period, but these changes not significant.

Background: In order to evaluate the relation between exercise and cytokines, we examined the effects of an 8-week endurance training course and recovery period on changes in interferon gamma (IFN-ϒ) and leukocyte subsets with recovery period. Methods: In this study, 30 healthy young male volunteers who aged 18-25 years were randomized into endurance training group and control group. The first group completed the endurance training protocol (running on a treadmill for 15-30 min at 50%-70% maximal heart rate) for 8 weeks. Venous blood samples were taken in both groups before, immediately after, and 24 and 48 hours after exercise. Findings: We found that IFN-ϒ levels in the trained group decreased after the 4th and 8th weeks (mid- and post-exercise, respectively), and also after 24-hour and 48-hour recovery periods. Leukocyte subsets on the other hand, decreased from pre-exercise until 24 hours after exercise. Conclusion: Our results demonstrated that a period of endurance exercise led to changes in IFN-ϒ levels after exercise and recovery periods. Purpose: Recognizing the characteristics of elite athletes has a valuable significance in any sport for two reasons: 1) It leads to a high-level performance; and 2) this recognition helps us to determine the weaknesses and strengths of athletes. The present study was designed to compare the anthropometric characteristics, aerobic and anaerobic capacities of elite male Iranian fencers in three different categories (epee, foil and sabre). Materials and methods: For this purpose, 24 fencers of Iran national senior fencing team were chosen and their anthropometric characteristics, somatotype, grip power, aerobic and anaerobic capacity of leg and hand, were measured. Results: Statistical analyses of data showed significant differences (p<0.05) between lean body mass, weight and efficient hand length (EHL) of sabre and foil fencers. In addition, significant differences (p< 0.05) were found between EHL and the difference between the length of two opened arms and height of epee and foil fencers. The amount of these variables were higher in epee than foil fencers. Aerobic capacities of epee and foil fencers were higher than sabre ones (p<0.05). The dominant somatotype for three categories was endomorphic mesomorph. Conclusion: Based on the physiological and some anthropometric differences among the three fencing categories found in the present study, it could be concluded that the training programs and athlete selection criteria should be different among the fencing categories. Introduction The study area is located in the central part of the Khaf- Kashmar- Bardaskan volcano-plotunic belt (briefly KKBB). Several IOCG deposits such as Tanourjeh Au-bearing magnetite deposit and Kuh-e-Zar Specularite-rich Au deposit have been explored in KKBB. Geology, alteration, mineralization, geochemistry and fluid inclusion results in Kashmar suggest the IOCG type Au-bearing magnetite mineralization. These IOCG deposits at KKBB form at an active continental arc related to SSZ-type Sabzevar oceanic subduction. Materials and methods Use of Landsat 7+, IRS and Aster satellites. Petrography and alteration Studies in 150 thin sections of volcanic and intrusive rocks. Sampling of ore-bearing quartz vein and mineralography. Preparation of 28 geochemistry samples by the chip composite method of ore-bearing quartz vein and analyzing them in the ACME laboratory by Aqua Regia 1DX1. Fluid inclusions studies of 14 samples of quartz and barite related to the ore minerals of ore-bearing quartz vein by THM600 stage of Linkam company. Results Magmatic events in Kashmar occur at Paleocene-Eocene and include: (1) old mafic - intermediate volcano-plutonic series; (2) felsic volcanic and granitoids; and (3) parallel swarm dykes which are youngest (Almasi et al., 2016). Geochemically, Kashmar rocks are metaluminous to highly peraluminous and Tholeitic to calc-alkaline and shoshonitic in composition (Almasi et al., 2016). The field characteristics, together with isotope and geochemical analyses show that all rock types are essentially co-magmatic and post-collisional I-type (Almasi et al., 2016). Alteration of Kashmar is described in two ways: (1) intense ellipsoidal-linear Argillic-Sillicification and low sericitic with Silica caps and with medium widespread and propylitic alterations in triple regions, next to Dorouneh fault; and (2) Medium Hematite-Carbonate-Chlorite-Silicification alterations in Kamarmard heights. In parts of near the Doruneh fault, sometimes fractures of rocks are filled with tourmaline (Dumortierite type) and iron oxides. Kashmar surface mineralization is described in the ore-bearing quartz veins. Principal mineralization textures are layered, comb and Brecciation. The most important types of veins are those containing Chalcopyrite - Quartz veins, Specularite-rich veins – Quartz-Galena veins accompany with hydrothermal Breccias. Barren barite veins also exist in the region. The Chalcopyrite - Quartz veins occur on the main fracture zone and next to the Argillic alterations and silica cap in three regions (Bahariyeh, Uch Palang and Sarsefidal). Hydrothermal Breccias, Spicularite- rich veins, Quartz - Galena and barite veins occurred within Hematite- Carbonate-Chlorite-Silicification alterations in the Kamarmard area. Geochemistry of veins indicates anomalies of gold, copper, lead and zinc in them. Most enrichments of gold are accompanied with copper, lead and zinc and they occurs in hydrothermal Breccias and then specularite- rich veins. Gold values up to about 15 ppm and Cu, Pb and Zn each to > 1%. Temperature – salinity studies of fluid inclusions of ore-bearing Quartz veins in Kashmar show the fluid temperature and salinity values in all veins are close together. Temperatures are moderate to relatively high and between 245° C and 530 ° C and salinities are relatively low to moderate and between 14 to 18 (wt% NaCl). Maximum and minimum of temperatures and salinities are related to fluid inclusions of hydrothermal Breccias and Quartz-Galena vein. Co-existence between two-phase liquid-vapor rich fluids and single-phase gas fluids in the veins indicate that conditions were close to boiling, and maybe a little boiling occurred, which strengthened with brecciaing of rock and view rare CO2-bearing fluid inclusion in veins on the Kamarmard peak. Non-existence of vuggy Quartz in silica caps in the region shows this issue. The frequency of oxide minerals (Specularite, Barite), H2O-NaCl-CaCl2 system, and the low amounts of sulfide minerals in Kashmar, all represent the oxidized conditions of hydrothermal fluid and the impact of CO2-bearing chloride complex in transport, non-interference of meteoric waters and precipitation of metallic elements with reducing of temperature. Discussion Most important IOCG deposits of south America (Candelaria, Mantoverde and Raul Condstable) have Au-bearing massive magnetite bodies accompanied with Potassium (actinolite, biotite and K-feldspar) alterations with high temperatures (500-700 O C) and salinities (>40%wt NaCl) at deepest parts (Sillitoe, 2003). At the upper levels, there are magnetite changes to hematite (Specular) and the possibility of coarse calcite (± silver mineralisation). Hematite zone may display hydrothermal/tectonic brecciation. The hematite-rich veins tend to contain sericite and/or chlorite, with or without K-feldspar or albite, and to possess alteration haloes characterized by these same minerals. Both the magnetite- and specular hematite-rich IOCG veins contain chalcopyrite and generally subordinate Pyrite (Fuller et al., 1965). Khur area is located in east of Iran and northwest of Birjand. The area comprises outcrops of Eocene to Oligocene volcanics with basaltic andesite to rhyolite composition, which were intruded by subvolcanic and intrusive bodies of granodiorite to gabbro. In the present work, petrogenesis of volcanic units in Cheshmeh Khuri and Shekasteh Sabz areas was studied, which are located in Khur area and these volcanics have most widespread in them. Rhyolite, dacite, andesite, trachyandesite and basaltic andesite units in Cheshmeh Khuri and trachyandesite unit in Shekasteh Sabz were identified. The main textures of these units are porphyritic, hialoporphyritic and microlitic and plagioclase, pyroxene, K-feldspar, hornblende, biotite and quartz are the main minerals. Volcanic units of Cheshmeh Khuri have characteristic of high-K Calc-alkaline. Enrichment of LREE relative to HREE and LILE to HFSE are important evidences that magma was formed in a magmatic belt of a subduction zone. Based on the initial 87Sr/86Sr of andesite and dacite, their magma has originated from partial melting of an enriched mantle and contaminated with the crust through its differentiation. Trachyandesites of Shekaste Sabz have characteristic of shoshonitic nature. These units are characterized by high FeOt/FeOt+MgO, K2O/Na2O and Zr>360 ppm, Y>39 ppm, and Ce> 100 ppm. Also, they are enrichment in REE particularly in LREE, depletion of Eu, strong enrichment in HFSE, and depletion in Ba and Sr. Therefore, trachyandesites of Shekaste Sabz belong to post collision volcanics.

Introduction The study area is located in NW Gonabad, Razavi Khorasan Province, northern Lut block and eastern Iran north of the Lut Block. Magmatism in NW Gonabad produced plutonic and volcanic rock associations with varying geochemical compositions. These rocks are related to the Cenozoic magmatic rocks in Iran and belong to the Lut Block volcanic–plutonic belt. In this study, petrogenesis of volcanic units in northwest Gonabad was investigated. The volcanic rocks are andesites/trachyandesites, rhyolites, dacites/ rhyodacites and pyroclastics.These rocks show porphyritic, trachytic and embayed textures in phenocrysts with plagioclase, sanidine and quartz (most notably in dacite and rhyolite), hornblende and rare biotite. The most important alteration zones are propylitic, silicification and argillic.Four kaolinite- bearing clay deposits have been located in areas affectedby hydrothermal alteration of Eocene rhyolite, dacite and rhyodacite. Analytical techniques Five samples were analyzed for major elements by wavelength dispersive X-ray fluorescence (XRF) and six samples were analyzed for trace elements using inductively coupled plasma-mass spectrometry (ICP-MS) in the Acme Laboratories, Vancouver (Canada).Sr and Nd isotopic compositions were determined for four whole-rock samples at the Laboratório de GeologiaIsotópica da Universidade de Aveiro, Portugal. Results Petrography. The rocks in this area are consist of trachyte, andesite/ trachyandesite, dacite/ rhyodacite, principally as ignimbrites and soft tuff. The textures of phenocrysts are mainly porphyritic, glomerophyric, trachytic and embayed textures in plagioclase, hornblende and biotite. The groundmasses consist of plagioclase and fine-grainedcrystals of hornblende. Plagioclase phenocrysts and microlitesare by far the most abundant textures in andesite - trachyandesites (>25% and in size from 0.01 to 0.1mm). Euhedral to subhedral hornblende phenocrysts areabundant (3-5%)and 0.1 to 0.6mmin size. Trachyte is characterized by trachytic texture. Ninety percent of the rock consists of sanidine. In trachytes, 3 to 5% hornblende ( 0.3 mm) is replaced by carbonates. Rhyolites contain quartz, plagioclase, sanidine, and biotite phenocrysts in a microcrystalline to glassy groundmass. Rhyodacitehas phenocrysts, some glomerophyric, consisting of quartz, 2 to 3% (0.1-0.5 mm), plagioclase 7 to 10% (0.2- 0.8 mm), hornblende 5% and biotite 1%. Up to 15% of sanidineis altered to clay minerals. Crystal tuff and lithic-crystal tuff are distributed overa large area. Using the Zr/TiO2 and Nb/Y diagram of Winchester and Fold (1977), samples are designated as rhyolite, dacite and sub-alkaline basalt. In the Co vs. Th diagram of Hastie et al. (2007), samples plot in the shoshonitic and high calc-alkaline, rhyolite, dacite and andesite-basalt fields. The REE patterns and trace element contents of the volcanic samples show: (1) LREE/HREE enrichment ((La/Yb) N = 0.3 to 15.27), (2) Low negative Eu anomaly (ave.Eu*/Eu=0.2-0.85), (3) depletion in Ba, Sr, K2O, Zr and Ti (Lower continental crust-normalized spider diagram from Taylor and McLennan, 1985 and Chondrite-normalized diagram from Nakamura, 1974. Rhyolites show the most extreme negative Eu anomaly (Eu/Eu* = 0.2-0.3) compared with 0.65–0.85 for volcanic elsewhere and also show considerably differences in the contents of Rb,Sr,K,Ti,Zr,Hf,Ce. These differences are related to greater magmatic differentiation or derivation from the other sources. The Sr and Nd isotopic ratios of these volcanic rocks are: 87Sr/86Sr = 0.70699 to 0.71014 and 143Nd/144Nd =0.512144 to 0.512539. Assuming an age of 60 Ma, the initial 87Sr/86Sr ratios vary from 0.70671 to 0.71066 and initial 143Nd/144Nd values vary from 0.512098 0.51249 (εNdi = -9.1) to 0.51249 (εNdi = -1.4).In the εNdi versus (87Sr/86Sr)i diagram, the samples plot in the field typical of magmas that are of crustal origin or, at least, that underwent important processes of crustal assimilation/contamination. Andesitic rocks displays lightly lower rangesof87Sr/86Sr (0.7067-0.7068) and εNdi values from -1.44 to -2.34, than rhyolite. Distinct Sr and Nd isotopic compositions are seen between rhyolitic rocks and andesitic rocks. The geochemical data suggest that the rhyolitic magmas probably represent the final differentiates of parental magmas, resulting from partial melting of mafic lower crust. The north of the Lut block is affected by tectonic rotation and subduction processes which occur in the east of Iran (Tirrul et al., 1983). The magmatism of Lut block begins in Jurassic and continues in Tertiary (Aghanabati, 1995). Karimpour (Karimpour, 2006) pointed out the Khaf-Kashmar-Bardeskan belt has significant potential for IOCG type mineralization such as Kuh-e-Zar, Tannurjeh, and Sangan (Karimpour, 2006; Mazloumi, 2009). The data gathered on the I-type intrusive rocks include their field geology, petrography, U–Pb zircon dating and Sr–Nd isotope and also alteration and mineralization in the study area. Materials and methods - Preparation of 150 thin sections of rock samples for study of petrography and alteration of the intrusive rocks. - Magnetic susceptibility measuring of intrusive rocks. - U-Pb dating in zircon of I-type intrusive rocks by Laser-Ablation Multi Collector ICP-MS method. - Sr-Nd analysis on 5 samples of I-type intrusive rocks by Multi-Collector Thermal Ionization Mass Spectrometer (TIMS) VG Sector 54 instrument. - Mineralography and paragenetic studies of ore-bearing quartz veins and geochemical analysis for 28 samples. - Production of the geology, alteration and mineralization maps by scale: 1:20000 in GIS. Results Oblique subduction in southern America initiated an arc-parallel fault and shear zones in the back of continental magmatic arc (Sillitoe, 2003). Because of this event, pull-apart basins were formed and high-K to shoshonitic calc-alkalineI- and A-type magmatism occur (Sillitoe, 2003). Most important deposits accompany with this magmatism are Au-Cu deposits types and Fe-Skarns (Sillitoe, 2003). We have similar scenario to Neotethys subduction. Khaf-Kashmar-Bardeskan volcano-plutonic belt is located between Neotethys suture and Alborz- Sabzevar Back- arc (Asiabanha and Foden, 2012). We suggest Khaf-Kashmar-Bardeskan volcano-plutonic belt forms at the arc-parallel fault and shear zones in the back of continental magmatic arc. In the basis of all evidences (Shear zone system, high-K to shoshonitic calc-alkaline I- and A-type magmatism, typical alterations related to upper zones of IOCG deposits and IOCG mineralization), we suggest IOCG (Au-Cu) mineralization in Kashmar. Discussion On the basis of former regional (Muller and Walter, 1983) and local structural studies (this research), regional compression causes sinistral strike-slip movements of Dorouneh and Taknar faults, shear zone, pull-apart and Riedel fractures (P, R and R' types) in the study area. These events cause magma intrusion and circulation of hydrothermal fluids. On the basis of geology, geochemistry and magnetic susceptibility measuring of intrusive rocks, several high K to shoshonitic calc-alkaline to alkaline I-type and one A-type intrusive rocks are intruded in Kashmar area. Swarm dykes are the youngest and the agent for alteration and mineralization. U-Pb dating related to quartz monzonite body (preventative sample for I-type intrusive rocks which are older than A-type series) show 40 Ma (Middle Eocene) for this rock group in Kashmar. The mean of initial 87Sr/86Sr and 143Nd/144Nd are 0.705-0.707 and 0.5135-0.5126 for I-type series, respectively. εNd(i) amounts for I-type series are in negative to positive limit ranges (-1.65 to 1.33). These amounts show subduction source with contamination to continental crust. Two type alteration and mineralization occur in Kashmar: 1) primary alterations (advanced argillic+ sericite+ silicification) which are synchronous with sulfide base-metal veins (chalcopyrite+ pyrite± galena± quartz± chloride) and 2) Lateral alterations (carbonatization+ Fe-oxides+ silicification+ epidotization+ chloride+ sericite+ barite) which are synchronous with IOCG veins (specularite+ chalcopyrite+ pyrite± galena± sphalerite± barite± siderite ± etc.). Primary centralized and sulfide base-metal veins in crosscutting points between Dorouneh fault and minor faults. Bahariyeh, Uchpalang and Sarsefidal areas are located in these crosscutting points. Tourmaline (demorterite) ±chloride fill the fractures in the intrusive rocks of southern part of area next to the Dorouneh fault occasionally. Lateral alteration synchronous with IOCG veins occur in Kamarmard area. Geochemical data of all veins show Cu, Pb, Zn anomalies (>1%) in two type veins, Au anomalies (to about 15 ppm) only in IOCG veins, Mn anomalies in two type veins and Ba anomalies in IOCG veins. Alteration and mineralization in the world-class IOCG deposits identified by sodic-calcic and potassic (hydrothermal actinolite and biotite) and magnetite± gold in deep parts (Sillitoe, 2003) and advanced argillic+ pyrite+ sericite+ toulrmaline (demorterite) in shallow parts (Ray and Dick, 2002). Generally, alteration in the study area is similar to shallow parts of world-class IOCG deposits. Tanourjeh is a IOCG deposit next to the northwest of the study area. In Tanourjeh, the gold-bearing magnetite is synchronous to potassic alteration (hydrothermal biotite) and other alterations are advanced argillic, silicification and sericite. These characteristics are similar to deep parts of world-class IOCG deposits. Bahariyeh, Uchpalang and Sarsefidal have similarities to alterations in Tanourjeh. Considering Tanourjeh lie in the lower level rather to Bahariyeh, Uchpalang and Sarsefidal, we believe they erosion surface in Tanourjeh is lower. Kamarmard lies in the highest erosion surface in the study area. Alterations and Mineralization as similar to Kuh e Zar IOCG deposit (specularite+chalcopyrite+gold) which is next to the Kamarmard area in Northeast of study area. In Bahariyeh-Uchpalang areas we can see only one IOCG vein but in Sarsefidal area exist several IOCG vein. Because of current surface in Bahariyeh-Uchpalang areas is lower than Sarsefidal current surface in Sarsefidal is lower than Kamarmard, we believe that IOCG vein in Bahariyeh-Uchpalang area have been eroded. We Believe to two circulation of oxidized Fe-bearing hydrothermal fluid in Kashmar. During the first circulation, Potassic alteration and gold-bearing magnetite bodies in depth and primary alterations with sulfide base-metal veins was formed.
