In this study, sodium aluminum silicate inorganic polymer was synthesized by sol-gel method. The parameters affecting the polymer formation were also investigated. Polymers with optimal parameters have been applied to make high temperature resistant inorganic paints. Modified infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and X-ray diffraction (XRD) methods were used to investigate the characteristics of the paint film. Furthermore, the mechanical and mechanical properties of heat-resistant inorganic paints and their heat resistance were also investigated.

To systematically synthesize existing evidence on the implementation and effectiveness of eHealth interventions for the informal caregivers of people with dementia.A systematic review of systematic reviews was conducted following the Cochrane methodological recommendations. Data were searched from MEDLINE/Ovid, Embase, CINAHL, Web of Science, Cochrane Library, and PsycInfo. Methodological quality was appraised independently using the AMSTAR 2.Nineteen reviews were included. The methodological quality of reviews varied from high to critically low. The eHealth interventions provided multiple components covering informative, psychoeducation, communication, psychotherapeutic, and psychosocial support. Interventions were delivered via the Internet, telephones, and combined technologies. The evidence varied, but was generally positive regarding depression, anxiety, caregiver burden, stress, self-efficacy, knowledge, and skill improvements. No evidence was found on the coping competence of caregivers.eHealth interventions are widely applied and benefit informal caregivers, but still lacking high methodological quality. More rigorous research is necessary to produce robust evidence for this changing field.

Objectives: This study aimed to analyze the outcomes of the Comprehensive Health and Social Need Assessment (CHSNA) system, which identifies community residents’ health and social needs, and to link these needs with the International Classification of Functioning, Disability, and Health (ICF). Methods: Adult community residents in a metropolitan city in Korea were recruited. They were asked to assess their health and social needs via the CHSNA system, which was integrated into an online community-care platform. Three assessment steps (basic health assessment, needs for activities of daily living, and in-depth health assessment) associated with five ICF components were used to evaluate physical health impairment, difficulties in activities and participation, and environmental problems. The final list of health and social needs was systematically linked to the domains and categories of the ICF. Only data from participants who completed all three assessment steps were included.Results: Wide ranges of impairments and difficulties regarding the daily living activities, physical health, and environmental status of the community were recorded from 190 people who completed assessments of their health and social needs by the CHSNA system. These participants reported various health and social needs for their community life; common needs corresponded to the ICF components of body functions and activities/participation. Conclusions: The ICF may be suitable for determining the health-related problems and needs of the general population. Possible improvements to the present system include providing support for completing all assessment steps and developing an ICF core set for an enhanced understanding of health and social needs.

The article begins with a brief overview of the military selection regime in Vietnam before the eighteenth century and then focuses on clarifying the military selection regime implemented under Gia Long and Minh Mang. The author mainly uses historical methods analysis, and historical statistics from ancient Vietnamese bibliographical sources to clarify the process of implementing the selection regime through the two dynasties of King Gia Long and Minh Mang. The purpose of the military selection regime of the Gia Long and Minh Mang periods was also to classify the population into different classes for taxation and at the same time use it as a basis for recruiting soldiers. Research results show that from the Gia Long period (1802 - 1820) until Minh Mang (1820 - 1841) the military selection regime has become more and more complete associated with the process of concentrating the power of the monarchical state. In addition, the difficulties in implementing the military selection regime in the northern mountainous region also showed that the central court could not completely dominate this area, even during the most complete central government period under Minh Mang.

To compare the mental health of undergraduates before the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown to their mental health one year later.Data from the American College Health Association (ACHA)'s National College Health Assessment III (ACHA-NCHAIII) were used, averaging a sample size of 54,844 undergraduate students and 106 schools nationwide per time point of assessment in the study.Secondary analyses of the ACHA-NCHAIII compared undergraduates' scores on five measures of mental health measures (loneliness, psychological distress, suicidality, flourishing, and resilience) from Spring 2020 to Spring 2021.Undergraduates' responses showed an increase in loneliness, psychological distress, and suicidality as well as a decrease in flourishing and resilience.The worsening of undergraduates' mental health calls for greater action by schools to alleviate students' distress and improve their wellbeing.

The dressing regime parameters in the process of grinding are the most important enabling factors that need to be determined. In this study, the influence of dressing regime parameters (the rough dressing depth, the dressing feed rate, the fine dressing depth, rough dressing times, fine dressing times, none-feeding dressing times) on roundness tolerance for external grinding of SKD11 steel is introduced. The Taguchi technique in designing the experiment and analyzing of variance (ANOVA) have been applied to define the influence of dressing regime parameters on the roundness tolerance. The results show that the impact level of fine dressing times (nf), none-feeding dressing times (n0), fine dressing depth (af), rough dressing times (nr), rough dressing depth (ar), dressing feed rate (Sd), and errors on roundness tolerance (Rt) are 62.88%, 19.70%, 9.85%, 3.79%, 1.52%, 1.52% and 0.76% respectively. Finally, by analyzing experimental results, optimized dressing parameters with fine dressing times (nf) of 3, none-feeding dressing times (no) of 3, fine dressing depth (af) of 0.01 mm, rough dressing times (nr) of 3, rough dressing depth (ar) of 0.03 mm and dressing feed rate (Sd) of 1.0 m/min have been determined, that allow getting the best roundness tolerance.

This study presents the results of a study on multi-objective optimization of internal cylindrical grinding of hardened SKD11 steel in order to find one objective function which satisfy minimum surface roughness, Ra. By this procedure, an optimum set of dressing parameters such as coarse dressing depth, number of coarse dressing, fine dressing depth, number of fine dressing, non-feeding dressing, and dressing feed speed will be found. Taguchi design methodology is accepted to find the optimum set of dressing parameters which can lead a condition of objective function as above mentioned. ANOVA is conducted based on experimental results to find the significance of each input parameter on the responses. The results reveal that the optimum value of surface roughness is 0.111 μm when using the optimum dressing parameters such as fine dressing depth at level of 2, number of fine dressing at level of 3, number of non-feeding dressing at level of 4, number of coarse dressing at level of 3, coarse dressing depth at level of 2, and dressing feed rate at level of 1.

This chapter presents the sequence of implementing the genetic algorithms using the programming language in the Mfile application of MATLAB Simulink software to optimize the two controller parameters of the coordinated control system structure of the thermal load system in coal-fired thermal power plants: electric power controller and steam pressure controller. Optimal standards are determined to be fast-tracking and fuel-saving. Operational data at a thermal power plant in Vietnam have been used to simulate the operation of a thermal load control system with a coordinated control structure in a thermal power plant to test controller parameters found from the genetic solution. To clarify the superiority of the genetic algorithm method in control of the thermal load system of a thermal power plant, the authors give an evaluation of the original control system compared to the control system using the parameters found from the genetic algorithm method. The results show that the thermal load control system in the thermal power plant using controller parameters found from the genetic algorithm method is much more optimal in terms of fuel consumption and the ability to follow the set amount.

SPIONs are composed of Fe3O4 or gamma Fe2O3 cores and a biocompatible shell from Dextran, PLA, PEG, Chitosan, or PVA. SPIONs have many important applications in medicine and biology such as cell sorting, drug carrier, magnetic hyperthermia, and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). This study aims to check the ability of copolymer PLA-PEG coated Fe3O4 ferromagnetic nanosystems (Fe3O4@PLA-PEG) produced for MRI application. The results showed that these nanoparticles had non-toxicity on BT-474 and Sarcoma 180 cell lines. Evaluation on T2 imaging mode revealed that Fe3O4@PLA-PEG nanoparticles were capable of enhancing the MRI image contrast in different conditions, including water, cell lysates solution, and even inside the cells. The report demonstrates that Fe3O4@PLA-PEG nanoparticles have a high potential application in MRI for clinical diagnosis.

Metal mold casting is widely used in industry because of higher accuracy than sand casting and lower cost than diecasting. Metal mold casting can yield products with complex shapes and adjustable cooling rate. In this work, designing and fabrication of 20 kHz ultrasonic assisted mold casting using 20Cr steel are studied. Some major components such as motor, heater power, melting chamber are selected and calculated. Model for heating and pouring the ADC 12 alloy is designed. Samples with and without ultrasonic vibration are investigated using 3D laser scan.

Background Magnetite (Fe3O4) nanoparticles (MNPs) had a high potential in biomedical application, including hyperthermia and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). The combination of MNPs and curcumin has been reported to have synergetic effect on cancer cell death. In this study, we aimed to identify the bioactivities of the nanoconjugates composed of superparamagnetic Fe3O4 nanoparticles coated by alginate and curcumin (Fe3O4/Cur@ALG) on cancer cells in both in vitro and in vivo models. Results The results showed that Fe3O4/Cur@ALG NPs enhanced the contrast of MRI in cell culture and Swiss mice bearing tumor. The autofluorescence signal of curcumin revealed the penetration of the nanoparticles into Sarcoma cells. Besides, this nanoconjugate synergistically inhibited the growth of Sarcoma 180 tumor through the magnetic heating and the anti-cancer effect of curcumin. These MNPs had had high biocompatibility with a low toxicity on mice at the concentration of Fe3O4 up to 120 mg/kg. Histological analysis indicated that the MNPs presented in the liver tissue, but not in the kidney, with the increase of AST value. Interestingly, Fe3O4/Cur@ALG NPs were cleared from blood after more than 10 minutes. Conclusion Our study revealed that Fe3O4/Cur@ALG had a high potential in medicinal application and should be further developed to use in cancer diagnosis and treatment.

Water pollution within and nearby different livestock farm types was assessed comprehensively for the first time in Vietnam. The samples of wastewater, ground water, and surface water were collected from 130 pig farms, 80 poultry farms, and 40 cow farms. Water quality was first assessed by individual parameter evaluation method in which measured values of water quality parameters were compared with the permissible limits in the national technical regulations on livestock’s effluent (QCVN 62), surface water quality, and ground water quality. Subsequently, the overall quality of surface and ground water samples was evaluated by mean of water quality index (WQI). The results showed the large variations in effluent’s quality, implying the considerable differences in wastewater treatment efficiency within and among farm types. Effluent from livestock farms was highly polluted by organic matters (expressed as BOD5 and COD) and especially by microorganisms (expressed as total coliform—CF). Almost all wastewater samples contained higher number of CF than QCVN 62 (3900 MPN/100ml), with mean concentration of CF in effluent from cow farms, pig farms, and poultry farms were 1.2e+07 ± 5.0e+07 MPN/100ml, 8.8e+04 ± 7.1e+04 MPN/100ml, 1.5e+06 ± 4.2e+06 MPN/100ml, respectively. Improperly treated livestock’s waste was likely to have impacts on quality of ground water and receiving surface water bodies. High CF contamination in effluent leads to 70% of the ground water samples in cow farms and poultry farms classified as unsuitable for drinking water supply by WQI values. Although effluent from poultry farms had smaller quantity and better quality, their receiving surface water bodies exhibited the worst quality, with average WQI of 37.5 ± 16.2 compared to 49.9 ± 12 of pig farms and 50.3 ± 20.8 of cow farms. This result suggests that livestock’s effluent was not only pollution source of surface water bodies nearby livestock farms.

Background and Aim: Stray cats are a reservoir for various zoonotic diseases relevant to public health in Thailand. The vector-borne infection, hemoplasmosis, also known as infectious anemia, is one such disease carried by domestic and wild felids. This study focuses on molecular characterization and phylogenetic analysis of hemoplasma in semi-domesticated cats in Bangkok, Thailand. Materials and Methods: In total, 473 blood samples were collected from 53 temple communities in 34 metropolitan districts and assayed using polymerase chain reaction (PCR) to amplify partial 16S rRNA genes for hemoplasma detection. Risk factors for hemoplasma infection (gender, age, free-roaming, and ectoparasite exposure) were analyzed using Chi-square tests, logistic regression, and odds ratios (OR) with 95% confidence intervals (95% CI) using R software (version 3.6.1). A phylogenetic tree was established from genetic characterization of hemoplasmas. Results: In total, 180 samples (38.05%) were positive for hemoplasma. Of half of the positive sequenced samples, 83.33% were infected with Candidatus Mycoplasma haemominutum (CMhm), 13.33% with Mycoplasma haemofelis (Mhf), and 3.33% with Candidatus Mycoplasma turicensis (CMt). We report on the use of bilingual constructed response science assessments in the context of a research and development partnership with secondary school science teachers. Given the power that assessments have in today’s education systems, our project provided a series of workshops for teachers where they explored students’ emergent reform-oriented science meaning-making in our project-designed assessments. Within the context of these workshops, we used discourse analysis to explore how three different groups grappled with the new reform-oriented relationship between science and language: (1) the research team’s emergent understandings of how to create improved resources for teachers to better integrate science and language; (2) students’ emergent understandings as expressed in their assessment responses; and (3) teachers’ emergent understandings of how to integrate science and language in their instruction as expressed in interviews in the teacher writing workshops. Implications for curriculum designers, assessment developers, and professional learning facilitators are discussed.
