25. Modified Root-MUSIC Algorithm for Target Localization Using Nyström Approximation

Abstract

Target recognition and localization in communication systems present significant challenges. Often, computationally expensive algorithms that use the entire sensor array are necessary. In this article, we propose a novel methodology that leverages spectral factorization to address these challenges. Using the Nyström method on a randomly selected subset of array sensor outputs, we construct an advanced fast-modified root-MUSIC algorithm. This approach enables the efficient detection and localization of multiple narrowband far-field sources with enhanced resolution and reduced computational complexity. Through extensive computer simulations, we demonstrate that our proposed method achieves estimation performance comparable to traditional root-MUSIC techniques while using only one-fourth of the sensor array outputs. By integrating spectral factorization and the Nyström method, our methodology effectively mitigates computational overhead, providing researchers with a compelling solution for precise target detection and localization in communication systems.

Abstract

With the development of multimedia technology and the popularity of smartphones, the collection of multimedia information from various applications has rapidly grown. This information encompasses text, images, video, and audio compositions. This multimedia information has not only transformed the way we communicate and share content but has also posed new challenges and opportunities in fields such as data analysis, content creation, and information management. Consequently, multimedia education has become the focal point for research institutions and businesses. The modern solution faces two main challenges: expensive uptime and comparative speed. Therefore, this study first introduces a washing method called Permutation (OPH) to reduce expensive working time. Furthermore, the study explores innovative techniques to enhance the comparative speed of the modern solution, ultimately aiming to achieve a more efficient and cost-effective system. With the OPH, a permutation wash (GOPH) has been developed, along with several useful techniques to address pressure changes. This development is based on the fact that most multimedia files differ from one another. A new hashing method, known as Hierarchical Permutation Hash (HOPH), has been created to enhance productivity. Extensive testing with real multimedia files clearly demonstrates that HOPH is five to seven times faster than Minis' while maintaining the same level of accuracy. HOPH achieves this remarkable speed improvement by efficiently leveraging hierarchical structures in data, making it a promising solution for a wide range of multimedia applications. Without words, any language is incomplete, and grammar is responsible for driving those words. Interaction with computers is similar to human conversation in that it requires words and signs to communicate with one another. The traditional method of interacting with a computer by clicking and tapping on options is gradually being replaced by a more seamless approach that includes conversations. This modern mode of communication includes speaking to the computer in a more natural manner, similar to how we speak to other people. Natural language processing is the science behind how humans can interact with computers more intuitively. The goal of this domain is to figure out how to make computers understand and make sense of commonly spoken human language in addition to the usual and rationally defined set of instructions.

Abstract

As the pace of technology development and its applications for industry increases, the knowledge gap between academic curriculum and industry-readiness of technical school graduates also increases. Since a professor can only focus on a limited number of topics in a classroom environment, peer learning can significantly increase the knowledge covered. We have identified several shortcomings in the traditional paradigm of teaching methodology and propose in this paper a cyclical autonomous learning-based methodology that aims to overcome these shortcomings. Autonomous learning in the context of our research refers to a situation where learners take charge of their learning and are responsible for all the decision-making for the progression of the skill they want to acquire. The proposed methodology is a feedback-based student-industry led model that reviews and rectifies itself based on the present needs and requirements. This study explores this methodology which identifies the vital points required to develop student-based technical clubs and leveraging industry-based student initiatives to boost autonomous learning, which will help its members prepare for their careers and gain industryrelevant knowledge. Upon implementing the same vital points, we found a statistically significant increase of 800% in the gained industry-relevant knowledge of the club members, characterized by the dramatic increase in scholarships given by industry leaders, achieved by the club members. The study also found that the proposed methodology is also more effective and cogent than the traditional methods in engaging the students, which was clearly evinced by an 88.89% increase in average attendance. We also found a marked increase in overall ratings, from 8.6 to 9.2, using the proposed methodology. The study thus offers promising results in decreasing the knowledge gap, based on which institutions may be exhorted to adopt the proposed methodology for preparing industry-ready graduates. Project experience provides a major pathway for student's career either for their professional career or upgrading the qualification through Post Graduation or Ph.D. in Engineering. Being a very practical field, it requires experience and exposure to the real world to be expertise and successful in a certain domain. Project work integrates hands-on experiences with education which facilitate them while they are on their job desk and are being appreciated for their updated knowledge. Quality projects require effective project management. It is observed that there is very less studies done on the project management skills required for the engineering graduates. This will assist the students to learn and adequately apply their knowledge in their future project work which will help them to convey a superior focused on and more significant projects.
