As the number of devices getting connected to the vehicular network grows exponentially, addressing the numerous challenges of effectively allocating spectrum in dynamic vehicular environment becomes increasingly difficult. Traditional methods may not suffice to tackle this issue. In vehicular networks safety critical messages are involved and it is important to implement an efficient spectrum allocation paradigm for hassle free communication as well as manage the congestion in the network. To tackle this, a Deep Q Network (DQN) model is proposed as a solution, leveraging its ability to learn optimal strategies over time and make decisions. The paper presents a few results and analyses, demonstrating the efficacy of the DQN model in enhancing spectrum sharing efficiency. Deep Reinforcement Learning methods for sharing spectrum in vehicular networks have shown promising outcomes, demonstrating the system's ability to adjust to dynamic communication environments. Both SARL and MARL models have exhibited successful rates of V2V communication, with the cumulative reward of the RL model reaching its maximum as training progresses.

The tomato is one of the most important fruits on earth. It plays an important and useful role in the agricultural production of any country. This research propose a novel smart technique for early detection of late blight diseases in tomatoes. This work improve the dataset with an increase in images from the field (the Plant Village dataset) and proposed a hybrid algorithm composed of support vector machines (SVM) and histogram-oriented gradients (HOG) for real-time detection of late blight tomato disease. To propose a HOG-based SVM model for early detection of late blight tomato leaf disease. To check the performance of the proposed model in terms of MSE, accuracy, precision, and recall as compared to Decision Tree and KNN. The integration of advanced technology in agriculture has the potential to revolutionize the industry, making it more efficient, sustainable, and profitable. This research work on the early detection of tomato diseases contributes to the growing importance of smart farming, the need for climate-smart agriculture, the rising need to more efficiently utilize natural resources, and the demand for higher crop yields. The proposed hybrid algorithm of SVM and HOG has significant potential for the early detection of late blight disease in tomato plants. The performance of the proposed model against decision tree and KNN algorithms and the results may assist in selecting the best algorithm for future applications. In this paper, we propose a novel Fine-Tuned attribute Weighted Na\"ive Bayes (FT-WNB) classifier to identify the Line-of-Sight (LoS) and Non-Line-of-Sight (NLoS) for UltraWide Bandwidth (UWB) signals in an Indoor Positioning System (IPS). The FT-WNB classifier assigns each signal feature a specific weight and fine-tunes its probabilities to address the mismatch between the predicted and actual class. The performance of the FT-WNB classifier is compared with the state-of-the-art Machine Learning (ML) classifiers such as minimum Redundancy Maximum Relevance (mRMR)- $k$-Nearest Neighbour (KNN), Support Vector Machine (SVM), Decision Tree (DT), Na\"ive Bayes (NB), and Neural Network (NN). It is demonstrated that the proposed classifier outperforms other algorithms by achieving a high NLoS classification accuracy of $99.7\%$ with imbalanced data and $99.8\%$ with balanced data. The experimental results indicate that our proposed FT-WNB classifier significantly outperforms the existing state-of-the-art ML methods for LoS and NLoS signals in IPS in the considered scenario.

Access plan recommendation is a query optimization approach that executes new queries using prior created query execution plans (QEPs). The query optimizer divides the query space into clusters in the mentioned method. However, traditional clustering algorithms take a significant amount of execution time for clustering such large datasets. The MapReduce distributed computing model provides efficient solutions for storing and processing vast quantities of data. Apache Spark and Apache Hadoop frameworks are used in the present investigation to cluster different sizes of query datasets in the MapReduce-based access plan recommendation method. The performance evaluation is performed based on execution time. The results of the experiments demonstrated the effectiveness of parallel query clustering in achieving high scalability. Device-to-device (D2D) or Sidelink aided communication is regarded as one of the most promising technologies to improve the spectral efficiency of the 5G and beyond communication system. However, two main challenges exist: 1) the selection of the optimal number of devices for improving the spectral efficiency, and 2) improving the physical layer security of such a communication system. The optimal device improves the secrecy capacity, and the selection of optimal devices enhances the physical layer security. Therefore, in this paper, we propose a double threshold-based optimal device selection (ODS) scheme for a cooperative wireless network with amplify and forward (AF) protocol in the presence and absence of an eavesdropper to enhance the physical layer security for the D2D network. The proposed scheme is analyzed with different distance cases, device scenarios, and modulation schemes. The bit error rate (BER) performance analysis concludes that a performance gain of more than 4 dB is achieved at the BER of 0:004 for the proposed double threshold-based ODS scheme compared to the existing ODS scheme at a high signal to noise ratio (SNR). Achieving significant performance gains both in terms of system throughput and massive connectivity, non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) has been considered as a very promising candidate for future wireless communications technologies. It has already received serious consideration for implementation in the fifth generation (5G) and beyond wireless communication systems. This is mainly due to NOMA allowing more than one user to utilise one transmission resource simultaneously at the transmitter side and successive interference cancellation (SIC) at the receiver side. However, in order to take advantage of the benefits, NOMA provides in an optimal manner, power allocation needs to be considered to maximise the system throughput. This problem is non-deterministic polynomial-time (NP)-hard which is mainly why the use of deep learning techniques for power allocation is required. In this paper, a state-of-the-art review on cutting-edge solutions to the power allocation optimisation problem using deep learning is provided. It is shown that the use of deep learning techniques to obtain effective solutions to the power allocation problem in NOMA is paramount for the future of NOMA-based wireless communication systems. Furthermore, several possible research directions based on the use of deep learning in NOMA systems are presented.

With the rapid development of the Internet of Things (IoT), Indoor Positioning System (IPS) has attracted significant interest in academic research. Ultra-Wideband (UWB) is an emerging technology that can be employed for IPS as it offers centimetre-level accuracy. However, the UWB system still faces several technical challenges in practice, one of which is Non-Line-of-Sight (NLoS) signal propagation. Several machine learning approaches have been applied for the NLoS component identification. However, when the data contains a very small amount of NLoS components it becomes very difficult for existing algorithms to classify them. This paper focuses on employing an anomaly detection approach based on Gaussian Distribution (GD) and Generalized Gaussian Distribution (GGD) algorithms to detect and identify the NLoS components. The simulation results indicate that the proposed approach can provide a robust NLoS component identification which improves the NLoS signal classification accuracy which results in significant improvement in the UWB positioning system.
