This study was conducted to find the feasibility of prolonging the storage period of the internal phase of the larvae of Apanteles angaleti parasite at 15°C temperature for various periods of time: 0, 72, 113, 126, 140, 182, 184 days to figure out the impact of cooled storage on the efficacy of the produced females post storing period. It has been shown in the results that the periods of growth of both the parasite and the host under 27°C after various storing periods at 15°C varies statistically of growth for both host and parasite not exposed to cooling from the periods' regime. Prolonging the period of storing under 15°C temperature for up to 184 days might affect the percentage of development of both the host and the parasite. Virulence of entomopathogenic fungi Metarhizium anisopliae and Beauveria bassiana were tested against Arabian Rhinoceros Beetle, Oryctes agamemnon arabicus larvae. Four concentrations (1x105, 1x107, 1x109 and 1x1011 conidia/mL-1) of two locally isolated entomopathogenic fungi spore suspensions were used in this study via larval direct spraying. Results revealed that both isolates can cause high mortality rate reaching 100% after 29 days. However, Beauveria bassiana scored higher mortality rate in short time especially at the concentration of 1x1011 conidia/ mL-1 with lethal time (LT)50 12.75 and LT90 20.00; while, Metarhizium anisopliae caused the higher percentage of malformed adults. Moreover, both isolates affected insect's life cycle particularly in the pupal stage which was reduced remarkably by almost 50% in comparison with the control treatment. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
