Bu araştırmada, Suriyezdeki iç savaş sebebiyle Ülkemize gelen Suriyeli sığınmacı 7-9 yaş grubu çocukların yaptıkları resimler değerlendirilerek, yaş dönemleri dikkate alınarak hazırlanan resim değerlendirme kriterlerine göre savaştan etkilenip etkilenmedikleri ve etkilenmişler ise hangi düzeyde etkilendiklerinin ortaya çıkartılması amaçlanmıştır. Araştırmanın evreni, ülkemize gelen Suriyeli sığınmacı çocuklardan 7-9 yaş grubunda olanlar ve örneklemi ise Adana ili Kozan ilçesi Geçici Eğitim Merkezinde öğrenim gören 38 çocuktan oluşmaktadır. Araştırmada öncelikle çocukların demografik özelliklerini öğrenmek için uzman görüşü alınarak bir veri toplama formu geliştirilmiştir. Ardından uzman görüşü alınarak çocuklara bayram konulu resim etkinliği yaptırılmıştır. Çocukların yaptıkları resimler uzman görüşü alınarak hazırlanan Resim Değerlendirme Ölçeği kullanılarak üç uzman tarafından değerlendirilmiştir. Araştırma kapsamında toplanan sonuçlar frekans ve yüzde olarak belirlenmiş ve yorumlanmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda çocukların resimlerinde savaşı hatırlatan şemaları (top, tüfek, tank, tabanca, mermi, el bombası vb.) kullandıkları ve resimlerin birçoğunda olumsuz duygulara (Savaş, ölüm vb.) yer verdikleri görülmüştür. In this study, the drawings that were done by the 7-9 years old Syrian refugee children who came to our country as a result of the civil war in Syria, were evaluated. It was aimed to determine whether they are affected by the war or not according to the picture evaluation criteria prepared considering their age group, and if they are affected, at which level they are affected. The population of the study consists of 7-9 years of Syrian refugee children who came to our country and the sample of the study consists of 38 children who study at Temporary Education Centre in Kozan district in Adana province. In the study, at first a data collection form was developed by having taken the expert opinion in order to learn the childrenzs demographic features. Later, by taking expert opinion the children were asked to draw a picture whose theme was bairam. Three experts evaluated the pictures, which were drawn by the children, by using Picture Evaluation Scale prepared in accordance with expert opinion. The results, which were obtained within the scope of the study, were established and interpreted as frequency and in percentages. As a result of the study, it was determined that the children used schemas that evoke war (cannon, rifle, tank, gun, bullet, grenade etc.) and in most of the pictures they included negative feelings (war, death, etc.).

Objective: The aims of this study were to determine the prevalence of AAA in aged 65 years and above that had been referred for US screening, the association between risk factors for atherosclerosis and AAA, and the effectiveness of screening a population aged 65 years and above with atherosclerosis risk factors using ultrasound (US).Methods: Patients 65 years and over who had undergone US examination for any reason were invited to participate. The 600 patients (335 male, 265 female) who agreed to participate completed a survey of atherosclerosis risk factors. Aneurysm levels in patients with infrarenal or suprarenal AAA were measured using US. Statistical analysis was performed to identify the relationship between AAA and several atherosclerosis risk factors.Results: Of the 600 patients, 35 (5.8%; 33 male and 2 female) patients were diagnosed with AAA. Males and females represented 94.3% and 5.7% of the AAA-diagnosed population, respectively, and 5.5% and 0.3% of the screened population, respectively. Thirty of the AAA-diagnosed patients (85.7%) were between 65 and 79 years and 5 (14.3%) 80 years and above. Kidney cysts are quite common in adults. Though small simple renal cysts in an adult over 30-40 years of age are not too unusual, however, if the same cysts are seen in a child, and especially if there are additional findings, then several diagnostic possibilities may come to mind. The role of ultrasound, together with the help of intravenous contrast agents and Doppler mode, are very critical in describing the morphologic features and follow-up of the complex or multiple and bilateral renal cysts. These sonographic signs are occasionally specific for diagnosis, but in many cases sonographic clues should be evalu-ated together with the other genetic and clinical data to reach diagnosis.
