Previous research suggests mowing practices following azoxystrobin application alter pest control and residue fate. Azoxystrobin, an acropetal penetrant quinone outside inhibitor fungicide, is commonly applied in turfgrass and other agricultural settings, protecting desired plants from fungal pathogens by inhibiting fungal growth. Field research was initiated in Raleigh, NC, and repeated in time to assess the effect of post‐application mowing timing and clipping collection practices on azoxystrobin residue persistence in tall fescue (Schedonorus arundinaceus Schreb.). At trial initiation, azoxystrobin was applied at the maximum single application rate (0.61 kg ai ha−1) to tall fescue plots. To determine the effect of initial mowing timing, plots were mowed (9.5 cm) at 0, 1, 2, 3, 7, or 14 days after application (DAA). To determine the effect of clipping removal, plots were mowed at 3, 10, and 17 DAA and clippings were either returned to the canopy or bagged and removed. Concurrently, soil cores (92 cm2) were collected at 3, 7, 14, and 21 DAA and then segmented into remaining aboveground vegetation and soil (0.0‐ to 2.5‐cm depth) for residue analyses. Mowing timing affected azoxystrobin residue in the vegetation and in soil. When clippings were returned to the canopy, 5% more azoxystrobin was detected in the vegetation at 7 and 14 DAA. At 3 and 7 DAA, in the soil, returning clippings resulted in >3% more of the applied azoxystrobin compared to removing clippings. Data from this research may allow for extended fungicide intervals for brown patch suppression and demonstrate the importance of returning clipping to turf systems to retain azoxystrobin residues. There is no doubt that most people in the world want to continue their education either undergraduate level or graduate level in the United States. To do that, application is the first and most important request. After applying for getting acceptance, the applicants must be patient and wait till hearing from university. This process takes some considered time and is named "admission process". However, a scandal happened at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign a few years ago. This event has caused some serious debates regarding universities' admission policy and admission processes. In order to touch this undesired event, the researchers have conducted this current study. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to bring up the admissions scandal at the university of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. In order to reach the aim of this study, the researchers have tried to reach the answer of following research questions: 1) What is the scandal at the university of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign? and 2) What did people think and/or say about this scandal? In order to collect data, the researchers have employed a qualitative research design in this study with document analysis technique. Based on analyzing the collected data, the researchers have come to the conclusion that nobody approves this event and some people had resigned from their assignment after this event.

The aim of this study is to define undesired behaviors in the classroom, to better understand the reasons of these undesired behaviors, and to offer strategies to overcome these behaviors. The researchers have used a qualitative research approach in this study. For this aim, the researchers have purposefully selected 12 physics teachers who work in different high schools in Amasya, Turkey. Then, the researchers have carried out open-ended interviews with teachers. Each interview lasted around 40 minutes, was recorded and transcribed. After analyzing the collected data, the researchers have found that teachers define undesired behaviors if the behavior 1) inhibited students' learning 2) distracted the students' attention 3) destroyed the students' motivation and 4) reduced students' desire to study. Furthermore, teachers have declared that because of following reasons, students demonstrate the undesirable behaviors. These are; lack of motivation, hopelessness to learn, hopelessness to be successful, lack of ready for topic, and prejudice to physics. Teachers have also mentioned that there might be some strategies to overcome the undesired behaviors in the classroom. These are; planned ignoring, signal interference, proximity control, using humor to defuse tension, removing distracting objects, changing student places, and time out. The findings of this study show that there exist undesirable behaviors in physics classes. Unless these determined behaviors have been removed, teaching and motivating of students will be more difficult for physics teachers and it negatively affects students' learning and academic success. In this regard, the researchers have following recommendations: 1) classroom management lessons at the pre-service education level should be taught more efficiently 2) some professional development activities regarding classroom management should be offered for physics teachers 3) physics teachers should be encouraged to collaborate with psychologists, counselors, and guidance specialists to overcome and address undesirable behaviors in classroom 4) school administration should engage parents and collaborate with them by organizing periodical meetings and 5) school administration should arrange some social activities for students in school such as basketball tournament, soccer tournament, theatre, and etc.

Take‐all root rot (TARR) is a detrimental disease of ultradwarf bermudagrass (Cynodon dactylon × Cynodon transvaalensis; UDB) putting greens frequently diagnosed where warm‐season grasses are grown. Since this disease is largely aggregated and variable under field conditions, field research is difficult and often yields inconsistent results. Multiple pathogens have only recently been associated with this disease, so practical management solutions such as fungicide efficacy and fungicide application timing have not been thoroughly investigated. Therefore, the objectives of this research were to determine the influence of fungicide selection and fungicide application timing on take‐all root rot management under field and greenhouse conditions. In general, fungicides from the quinone outside inhibitor and/or demethylation inhibitor chemical classes provided the greatest reduction in take‐all root rot severity. Fungicide applications that were made when soil temperatures were between 77–86°F provided the greatest disease suppression. The in vivo greenhouse method developed in this research proved to be an efficient and consistent method to evaluate management practices such as fungicide efficacy on take‐all root rot. This research improves our understanding of fungicide efficacy and fungicide application timing for take‐all root rot management on ultradwarf bermudagrass. A dual childbirth injury model, including vaginal distension (VD) and pudendal nerve crush (PNC), may best represent the injuries seen clinically. The objective of this study was to investigate urethral function, anatomy, and neurotrophin expression after several simulated childbirth injuries. Groups of 140 rats underwent PNC, VD, PNC+VD, or neither (C). Four days after injury, all injury groups had significantly decreased leak-point pressure (LPP) compared with C rats. Ten days after injury, LPP in PNC and PNC+VD rats remained significantly lower than C rats. Three weeks after injury, LPP in all injury groups had recovered to C values. Histological evidence of injury was still evident in the external urethral sphincter (EUS) after VD and PNC+VD 10 days after injury. Three weeks after injury, the EUS of PNC+VD rats remained disrupted. One day after VD, brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) expression in the EUS was reduced, while neurotrophin-4 (NT-4) and nerve growth factor (NGF) expression was unchanged. BDNF, NT-4, and NGF expression was dramatically upregulated in the EUS after PNC. After PNC+VD, NGF expression was upregulated, and BDNF and NT-4 expression was upregulated somewhat but not to the same extent as after PNC. Ten days after injury, PNC+VD had the least number of normal nerve fascicles near the EUS, followed by PNC and VD. Twenty-one days after injury, all injury groups had fewer normal nerve fascicles, but without significant differences compared with C rats. The pudendal nerve innervates the external urethral sphincter (EUS) and is among the tissues injured during childbirth, which may lead to symptoms of stress urinary incontinence (SUI). To understand the mechanisms of injury and repair, urethral leak-point pressure (LPP) was measured 4 days, 2 wk, or 6 wk after bilateral pudendal nerve crush. Morphometric changes in the distal nerve and EUS were examined by light and electron microscopy. To determine whether recovery resulted from pudendal neuroregeneration, LPP was measured before and after pudendal nerve transection 2 wk after nerve crush. LPP was significantly decreased 4 days after pudendal nerve crush compared with sham-injured animals as well as 2 or 6 wk after nerve crush. LPP was not significantly different 2 or 6 wk after nerve crush compared with sham-injured animals, suggesting that urethral function had returned to normal. Four days after pudendal nerve crush, the EUS branch of the pudendal nerve distal to the injury site showed evidence of nerve degeneration and the EUS appeared disrupted. Two weeks after nerve crush, the distal nerve and EUS both showed evidence of both nerve degeneration and recovery. Two weeks after nerve crush, LPP was significantly decreased after nerve transection. Six weeks after nerve injury, evidence of neuroregeneration was observed in the pudendal nerve and the EUS. This study has demonstrated that functional recovery and neuroregeneration are significant 2 wk after nerve crush, although by anatomical assessment, recovery appears incomplete, suggesting that 2 wk represents an early time point of initial neuroregeneration. leak point pressure; urinary incontinence; voiding; pudendal nerve; urethra; Sprague-Dawley
