Taking plywood printed garments as an example of a Chinese intangible cultural heritage product, we investigated the influence of customer participation on purchase intention for these garments. We collected data from 317 customers and developed a structural equation model to assess the mediating role of cultural identity in this relationship. The results showed there was a significant positive relationship between customer participation and purchase intention, which was mediated by cultural identity. Our findings enhance understanding of the relationships among customer participation, cultural identity, and purchase intention for intangible cultural heritage products. The findings also provide practical suggestions for companies seeking to increase consumer purchase intention for these products.

The authors of this study aimed to compare the treatment outcomes and time efficiency between digital and conventional complete denture restorations and propose suggestions for clinical use.The authors used digital (functionally suitable digital complete denture [FSD]) and conventional complete denture restorations to make 2 dentures each for 10 edentulous patients. All the operations of both techniques before denture delivery were completed in the first 4 visits, and then 2 dentures were delivered successively for the patients. The clinical and laboratory times were recorded to evaluate the time efficiency; treatment outcomes were evaluated via scoring the denture satisfaction of the dentist and patients in a double-blind manner.The satisfaction scores of FSDs (7.6-9.6 [dentist's scores], 8.4-10 [patients' scores]) were higher than those of conventional dentures (7.2-9.7 [dentist's score], 7.4-9.8 [patients' scores]), but there were no significant differences. The clinical and laboratory operation times of the FSD group were less than those of the conventional group, saving an average of 28.0 minutes and 64.3 minutes in the clinic and laboratory, respectively.FSD technology can improve the efficiency of clinical and laboratory operations and shorten the manufacturing cycle of dentures. The occlusion stability of FSDs was statistically better than that of traditional dentures, but there was no statistical difference in other clinical indicators.FSD technology is low cost and easy to operate and has several applications. Compared with conventional complete denture restoration technology, FSDs can save time and have a comparable clinical effect. This clinical trial was registered at the Chinese Clinical Trial Registry. The registration number is ChiCTR1900021722.

The purpose of this study was to evaluate a novel 3D-printed custom tray for impressions of edentulous jaws, and to compare it with conventional impression trays.Fifteen edentulous patients were enroled to evaluate the accuracy and border extension of a novel custom tray in the shape of a complete denture. Four impressions were made for each patient. Impressions made using novel custom trays were considered the experimental group, impressions made using conventional custom trays were considered the control group, and impressions made using final dentures and non-pressure custom trays were considered the reference groups. The experimental and control groups were compared with the reference groups using three-dimensional (3D) comparison analysis, and the impressions were further divided into regions. The root mean square (RMS) value was calculated to analyse the differences in impression morphology. Additionally, the experimental and control groups were compared to analyse border extension at standard locations.Compared to the final denture impression as a reference, the diagnostic denture impression (RMS:0.146 ± 0.024 mm) was closer to the reference than the conventional impression (RMS:0.176 ± 0.047 mm), with a significant difference only in the secondary stress-bearing area. The border extension of the diagnostic denture impression was slightly longer than the conventional impression; however, the difference was not statistically significant.The impressions made using the novel custom tray were similar to those made with a definitive complete denture. However, no significant differences were noted when compared with the conventional impressions.

Ancient Chinese machinery is an important part of ancient Chinese civilization. Through reconstruction research, we can better understand the past glory and enhance national self-confidence and pride. However, the traditional restoration research is lack of funds, research talents and unreasonable personnel structure. What’s more, the restoration research results presented in kind are not easy to preserve and display, so they can’t play their due benefits. Through the analysis and practical verification, it is found that virtual reconstruction research with the help of virtual reality and other technologies is an effective way to solve the problems encountered and make it sustainable.

Chinese modern textile academic journals play an important role in promoting modern textile industry. It is helpful to expand the research field of modern Textile history of China. Through the method of historical philology, this paper takes Chinese modern textile academic journals as the research object, sorts out their historical background, investigates the causes of their founding, and probes into their influence for modern textile industry. It is concluded that modern textile academic journals have remarkable effects in spreading technology and promoting the progress of textile industry, and its rise mainly stems from the increasing demand for textile technology in modern textile industry.

As a national intangible cultural heritage of China, the southern Zhejiang Clamp-resist dyeing is a kind of blue quilt manufacturing technology used by ancient folk people. This kind of folk homescloths has its own unique folk aesthetic form, and its patterns are mostly monochrome square symmetrical baizi figures, opera figures and auspicious patterns. In the local customs of Zhejiang province, this kind of quilt is often used as a dowry for women when they get married (Zhang, 2010). In this paper, the author made an in-depth investigation and research on the technical details and inheritance of the southern Zhejiang Clamp-resist dyeing.

In response to the factor that affects the evolution of Leishan Miao embroidery style, this paper, based on field inspections and consulting related county chronicles, characterizes its style from two aspects: pattern composition and content, and tries to characterize its style from the perspectives of craftsmanship and the social role of embroidery women. By reviewing the angles of change, and analyzing the reasons for the evolution of embroidery styles, this research has found that the style of Miao embroidery can be summarized as the proper use of continuous and separate patterns, as well as the fusion of reality and illusion in the subject matter. The study holds that the comprehensive application of stitching is the technical guarantee for the evolution of styles. At the same time, the transformation of embroidery women's social roles from “women weavers” to “women farmers” and then to “businesswomen” is the potential motivation for the evolution of embroidery styles.

Therefore, from the perspective of science and technology communication and the history of newspapers and periodicals, this paper examines the practice and communication strategies of Dyeing & Textile Weekly, in order to prove that Dyeing & Textile Weekly has a positive impact on science and technology communication in modern China, and also provides experience reference for the development of contemporary science and technology periodicals in China, which has certain reference significance.

The origin of textiles is often associated with braid. Both braids and warp twisted fabrics have twisted structures, but warp twisted fabrics are more advanced and closer to the development direction of textiles.From braids to warp twisted fabrics to various complex fabrics, it is supported by the development of social technology. We sorted and categorized related textiles unearthed in prehistoric times, combined with archaeological records and documentary records that could reflect the production situation at that time to a certain extent, and explored the connection between the origin of warp warp fabrics and the development of social technology through the combination of literature research and physical research.

The Yuan Dynasty was the real beginning of Shanghai, which was also one of the important hub areas of cotton planting and cotton textile spreading from the frontier to the inland in ancient China, but its specific situation and historical position were rarely studied. On the basis of carding the cotton textile technology, cotton output and the development of cotton commodity economy in this period, this paper reveals that the cotton textile industry in Shanghai played an important role in improving people's clothing and raw materials, improving local people's material living standards and promoting the economic development of Jiangnan areas and even the whole country in the Yuan Dynasty. It also laid a good foundation for the later development of Shanghai China's great historical development process, especially in economic development, has an indelible and non-negligible historical position.
