The purpose of present study is to ascertain how prospective pre-service teachers see the notions of Gifted student and Inclusive Education. The study was carried out with 92 pre-service teachers studying in Tokat Gaziosmanpaşa University Education Faculty and Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University Education Faculty Department of foreign languages and science education during the academic year 2022–2023. This study is descriptive since it tries to present the current condition. The metaphors created by pre-service teachers were examined and commented upon within this framework in five steps: Identifying metaphors, categorizing metaphors, creating categories, assessing validity and reliability, and transferring quantitative data into the SPSS package program are the first three steps. To learn the pre-service teachers' opinions regarding the chosen ideas, an open-ended question survey with two open-ended questions was employed as a data collection instrument. In the questionnaire, the questions "A gifted student is like...... because......" and "Inclusive Education is like...... because......" were to be answered by the participants. Through the use of content analysis, the survey question data was examined. The lists of metaphors and categories were distributed to three faculty members who are authorities in the subject of study in order to assess the accuracy of the metaphors identified as a consequence of the analysis and the categories derived from them. Following the expert opinions, the non-overlapping metaphors were discussed in order to determine the final metaphors and categories for the study. It was concluded as a result that pre-service teachers created 92 valid metaphors for the idea of giftedness and inclusive education. As a result, it was discovered that pre-service teachers had positive opinions of the term "giftedness," additionally, they also created some favorable metaphors for the inclusive education., Bu çalışmanın amacı, öğretmen adaylarının Özel Yetenekli Öğrenci ve Kaynaştırma Eğitimi kavramlarını nasıl algıladıklarını tespit etmektir. Araştırma, 2022-2023 Eğitim-Öğretim yılında Tokat Gaziosmanpaşa Üniversitesi Eğitim Fakültesi ve Muğla Üniversitesi’nde Yabancı Diller ve Fen Bilimleri Eğitimi Bölümü'nde öğrenim gören 92 öğretmen adayı ile gerçekleştirilmiştir. Bu çalışma mevcut durumu ortaya koymaya çalıştığı için betimseldir. Öğretmen adaylarının oluşturdukları metaforlar bu çerçevede beş adımda incelenmiş ve yorumlanmıştır: Metaforların belirlenmesi, metaforların sınıflandırılması, kategorilerin oluşturulması, geçerlik ve güvenirliğin değerlendirilmesi ve nicel verilerin SPSS paket programına aktarılması ilk üç adımdır. Öğretmen adaylarının seçilen fikirlere ilişkin görüşlerini öğrenmek için veri toplama aracı olarak iki açık uçlu sorudan oluşan bir açık uçlu soru anketi kullanılmıştır. Ankette "Özel yetenekli öğrenci...... gibidir çünkü......" ve "Kaynaştırma Eğitimi …….. gibidir, çünkü......" soruları katılımcılar tarafından yanıtlanmıştır. İçerik analizi kullanılarak anket soru verileri incelenmiştir. Analiz sonucunda tespit edilen metaforların ve bunlardan türetilen kategorilerin doğruluğunu değerlendirmek için metafor ve kategori listeleri çalışma konusunda uzman olan üç öğretim üyesine dağıtılmıştır. Uzman görüşlerinin ardından, çalışmanın nihai metaforlarını ve kategorilerini belirlemek amacıyla örtüşmeyen metaforlar tartışılmıştır. Öğretmen adaylarının üstün zekalılık fikri ve Kaynaştırma eğitimi için 92 geçerli metafor ürettikleri sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Sonuç olarak, öğretmen adaylarının üstün zekalılık kavramına ilişkin olumlu görüşlere sahip oldukları ayrıca kaynaştırma eğitimine yönelik olumlu metaforlar oluşturdukları tespit edilmiştir.

Özel yetenekli çocuklar; akranlarına nazaran kavrama hızı yüksek, olay ve kavramlar üzerinde araştırma-inceleme yapabilen ve karşılaştıkları problemleri çözmeye ilgili çocuklardır. Zihinsel yetersizliğe sahip olan çocuklar ise olağan gelişim gösteren çocuklardan zihinsel gelişim açısından daha geri kalmış çocuklardır. Hem zihinsel yetersizliğe sahip çocuğu olan hem de özel yetenekli çocuğa sahip ebeveynler bulundukları sosyal çevre içerisinde sosyal destek gibi etkileşimlerde bulunmaktadırlar. Sosyal destek algısı bireyin diğer bireylerle oluşturduğu güvenli etkileşimlerdir ve bireyin yaşamında var olan bütün etkilere karşı kalkan görevi gören, karşılaştığı problemleri çözmesine yardım etmesi açısından çok önemlidir. Bu bağlamda bu araştırmanın amacı; zihinsel yetersizlik tanısı almış çocuğu olan ebeveynler ile özel yetenekli çocuğu olan ebeveynlerin sosyal destek algı düzeyinin farklı değişkenler açısından incelenmesidir. Bu çalışma nicel araştırma yöntemlerinden biri olan tarama modeli kullanılarak gerçekleştirilmiştir. Amaçlı örnekleme yöntemi kullanılarak belirlenen bu araştırmanın örneklemini Türkiye’nin farklı illerinde bulunan zihinsel yetersizlik tanısı almış çocuğa sahip 177 ve özel yeteneklilik tanısı almış çocuğa sahip 285 ebeveyn olmak üzere toplam 462 öğrenci ebeveyni oluşturmaktadır. “Bilgi Formu” ile “Anne-Baba Sosyal Destek Ölçeği” veri toplama aracı olarak kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın analizinde SPSS 20.0 programı kullanılmıştır. Çalışma sonucunda; özel yetenekli ve zihinsel yetersizliği olan çocuğa sahip ebeveynlerin sosyal destek algılarının orta düzeyde ve pozitif yönde, olumlu bir ilişki olduğu saptanmıştır. Özel yetenekli tanısı konulmuş çocuğa sahip ebeveynlerin sosyal destek algısı üzerinde ebeveyn yakınlık durumu, anne/baba eğitim düzeyi, tanı almış toplam çocuk sayısının anlamlı farklılık oluşturmadığı buna karşın toplam gelir düzeyi ve toplam çocuk sayısının anlamlı şekilde etki ettiği tespit edilmiştir. Zihinsel yetersizliği olan çocuğa sahip ebeveynlerin sosyal destek algısına ebeveyn yakınlık durumu, baba eğitim düzeyi, tanı almış toplam çocuk sayısı etki etmezken toplam gelir düzeyi, anne eğitim düzeyi ve toplam çocuk sayısının ise etkili olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Sosyal destek algısının farklı gereksinim grupları üzerinde belirlenmesine yönelik nitel araştırma yöntemleriyle yapılandırılmış çalışmalar planlanması araştırmacılara öneri olarak getirilebilir., Children who can read more quickly than their peers, can research and understand ideas and events, and are motivated to find solutions to problems are considered gifted. In terms of mental development, children with intellectual disabilities are more delayed than kids with typical development. Families with gifted and mentally challenged children interact in their social environment in ways including providing social support. The safe connections that a person makes with other people are what they see as social support, and they are crucial for helping that person overcome the problems he runs into and protecting him from all the consequences in his life. The purpose of this study is to compare parents of children with intellectual disabilities and parents of talented children in terms of their perceptions of social support, taking various factors into consideration. The survey model, which is a quantitative research technique, was employed in this study. 462 student families in different cities in Turkey, as well as 177 families with children who have been diagnosed with mental retardation and 285 families with children who have been identified as having special talents, make up the sample for this study, which was selected using the purposeful sampling method. As instruments for gathering data, "Information Form" and "Parental Social Support Scale" were utilized. The research was analyzed using the SPSS 20.0 program. The data show that families with gifted and mentally challenged children experienced limited and positive relationship with societal support. However, overall income level and the total number of children did have a significant impact on how families with talented children regarded society support. Parental closeness, mother/father education level, and the total number of diagnosed children did not. It has been found that the total income level, mother's education level, and the total number of children are effective while parental closeness, father's education level, and the total number of diagnosed children have no effect on how families with mentally retarded children perceive social support. Researchers may be advised to design organized studies using qualitative research techniques to ascertain how different need groups perceive social support.

One of the most influential media theorists, the French postmodernist Jean Baudrillard, emphasized that the impact of modern mass media is significantly different and has deeper effects than the impact of other technologies. According to him, the advent of mass media, especially electronic media such as television, has changed the quality of our lives. Television does not only show us the world, but it determines what the world we live in is actually what it is (Giddens, 2012). Similarly, the Simulation Theory developed by the French thinker Jean Baudrillard explained these facts with the concept of the concept of simulacrum to understand the cultural symbolic system. According to this, the pretense of reality regulates social life. Simulacrum presents a principle of reality with the categories that determine how society understands itself and its environment. Simulacrums organize institutional practices in terms of maintaining and reproducing the status quo. Simulacrum develops slowly (Aydoğan, Yaylacı, 2005). Baudrillard argues that a simulacrum is not a copy of the real but becomes truth in its own right. In this context Baudrillard emphasized that there is no education, but there is a training simulation that masks inequalities that can only arise in advanced capitalism. In this context, the question whether the curriculums be considered as a simulacrum is the main purpose of this study. In the study, Baudrillard philosophy will be examined first. In the second stage, Baudrillard's views will be discussed in terms of needs analysis in curriculum development. In the third stage, Baudrillard's views will be discussed in terms of the economic, social and philosophical foundations of program development. Finally, Baudrillard's views will be examined in terms of program development models., Günümüzdeki en etkili medya kuramcılarından birisi olan Fransız post modern yazar Jean Baudrillard modern kitle iletişim araçlarının etkisinin diğer teknolojilerin etkisinden daha farklı ve derin olduğunu vurgulamıştır. Baudrillard’a göre, kitle iletişiminin özellikle de televizyon gibi elektronik medyanın gelişi tam da yaşamlarımızın niteliğini değiştirmiştir. Televizyon bize yalnızca dünyayı göstermez, giderek içinde yaşadığımız dünyanın aslında ne olduğunu belirler. Benzer şekilde, Fransız düşünür Jean Baudrillard’ın geliştirdiği “Simülasyon Kuramı” bu olguları kültürel simgesel sistemi anlamada simülakr kavramıyla açıklamıştır. Buna göre, gerçekliğin “gibiliği” ya da gözükmesi, sosyal yaşamı düzenlemektedir. Simülakr, toplumun kendisini, çevresini nasıl anladığını belirleyen kategorilerle birlikte bir gerçeklik ilkesi sunmaktadır. Simülakrlar statükoyu sürdürmek ve yeniden üretmek anlamında kurumsal uygulamalar düzenlemektedir. Simülakr tarihsel olarak yavaş yavaş gelişir. Baudrillard, “Simulacra and Simulation” adlı eserinde eğitimin olmadığını sadece ileri kapitalizmde doğabilecek eşitsizlikleri maskeleyen bir eğitim simülasyonu olduğunu vurgulamıştır. Bu bağlamda “eğitim programları bir simülakr olarak ele alınabilir mi?” sorusu bu çalışmanın temel amacını oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmada önce Baudrillard felsefesi incelenecektir. İkinci aşamada ise eğitimde program geliştirmede ihtiyaç analizi açısından Baudrillard’ın görüşleri ele alınacaktır. Üçüncü aşamada ise program geliştirmenin ekonomik, sosyal ve felsefi temelleri açısından Baudrillard’ın görüşleri ele alınacaktır. Son olarak ise program geliştirme modelleri açısından Baudrillard’ın görüşleri incelenecektir. Çalışma sonuçları literatürle tartışıldıktan sonra konuyla ilgili öneriler belirtilmiştir.

The current study it was attempted to determine the ability of middle school students, pre-service science teachers and physics and chemistry graduates enrolled in a pedagogical formation program for questioning well-established scientific facts related to the structure of atom by investigating the models they have constructed in their minds about the structure of atom. The participating students were asked to draw the atom models in their minds, to illustrate their knowledge about the attraction and repulsion of electric forces and to indicate what would happen if the reverse of what they know where the truth through drawings. The study employed the phenomenological design. The qualitative data collected from the students were first grouped through coding. Then, categories and themes were created from the codes and frequency and percentage values related to the categories and themes were calculated. The results of the study have revealed that adequate success for these research group has not been accomplished in teaching of abstract concepts in each level of education.

Çalışmada; özel yetenekli ortaokul öğrencilerinin fen eğilim düzeyini belirlemede kullanılabilecek `Özel Yetenekli Öğrencilere Yönelik Fen Eğilimi Öz-değerlendirme Ölçeği'nin (ÖYÖYFEÖÖ)` geçerlik ve güvenirliğini tespit etmek, özel yetenekli öğrencilerin fen öğrenmeye yönelik motivasyonunu belirleyerek öğrencilerin fen eğilimine ve fen öğrenmeye yönelik motivasyonuna cinsiyet, sınıf düzeyi ve fen projesinde görev alma durumunun etkisini incelemek ve `ÖYÖYFEÖÖ` ile `Fen Öğrenmeye Yönelik Motivasyon Ölçeği (FÖYMÖ)` arasındaki ilişkinin araştırılması amaçlanmıştır. Tarama modelinde yürütülen çalışmanın pilot uygulaması, Türkiye genelinde belirlenen illerde yer alan BİLSEM'lerdeki 855, asıl uygulaması ise Ege Bölgesi'ndeki BİLSEM'lerde öğrenim gören 497 öğrenci ile gerçekleştirilmiştir. Düzey belirleme analizleri ve demografik özelliklerinin dağılımı betimsel istatistik, cinsiyet ve fen projesinde görev alma durumunun etkisi Mann Whitney U testi, sınıf düzeyinin etkisi Kruskall Wallis testi ve `ÖYÖYFEÖÖ` ile `FÖYMÖ` arasındaki ilişki Spearman Korelasyon Analizi ile gerçekleştirilmiştir. Bu çalışma ile 5'li likert tipinde, olumlu 30 madde ve 4 alt faktörden oluşan, güvenirlik katsayısı 0.934 olan yüksek güvenirlik ve geçerlikli `ÖYÖYFEÖÖ` geliştirilmiştir. Araştırmada öğrencilerin fen eğiliminin `orta` düzeyde olduğu, fen eğilimi üzerinde cinsiyet ve fen projesinde görev alma durumunun etkili olmadığı, 5. sınıfların, 6. ve 8. sınıflara göre fen eğiliminin yüksek olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. `FÖYMÖ`de, cinsiyet ve fen projesinde görev alma durumu etkili olmayıp, 5. sınıfların 8. sınıf öğrencilerine göre fen öğrenmeye yönelik daha yüksek motivasyona sahip oldukları belirlenmiştir. `FÖYMÖ` ile `ÖYÖYFEÖÖ` arasında orta derecede bir korelasyon tespit edilmiştir. Bu konuda yapılan çalışmalarda, nitel araştırma yöntemleri de kullanılarak ilgili konu derinlemesine araştırılabilir. The purpose of the current study is to establish the validity and reliability of `The Science Disposition Self-evaluation Scale for Gifted Students (ÖYÖYFEOÖ)`, which can be used to determine the science disposition of gifted students, to determine gifted students' motivation towards science learning, to investigate the effects of the variables of gender, grade level and the state of having participated in a science project on their science disposition and motivation towards learning science and to investigate the relationship between `The Science Disposition Self-evaluation Scale for Gifted Students` and `The Scale of Motivation towards Science Learning (FÖYME)`. The pilot study of the current research employing the survey model was conducted with a total of 855 middle school students attending BİLSEMs located in cities determined across Turkey and the actual study was conducted with the participation of a total of 497 gifted students, attending BİLSEMs located in the Aegean Region of Turkey. Descriptive statistics were used for the level determination analyses and to check the distribution of the demographic features; the effects of gender and the state of having participated in a science project were investigated with Mann Whitney U test; the effect of grade level was tested with Kruskall Wallis test and the relationship between `ÖYÖYFEÖÖ` and `FÖYMÖ` was analyzed with Spearman Correlation Analysis. As a result of this study, a highly reliable and valid five-point Likert scale (ÖYÖYFEOÖ) consisted of 30 items and 4 sub-factors with the reliability coefficient of 0.934 was developed. The current study revealed that the participating students' science disposition is `medium`, their science disposition does not vary significantly depending on their gender and state of having participated in a science project and the disposition of the 5th graders is higher than those of the 6th and 8th graders. The analyses of the data obtained from `FÖYMÖ` revealed that the students' motivation towards science learning does not vary significantly depending on gender and state of having participated in a science project and that the 5th graders have higher motivation towards science learning than the 8th graders. A medium correlation was found between `FÖYMÖ` and `ÖYÖYFEÖÖ`. Future research can explore the issue in detail by using qualitative research methods. 144

Bu çalışmanın amacı ortaokul öğrencilerinin problem çözme, bilimsel süreç becerileri ve öğrenme stillerinin cinsiyet, öğrenim görülen okul ve anne/baba eğitim düzeyi değişkenlerine göre ayrıntılı bir şekilde araştırılmasıdır. Yapılan araştırmada betimsel araştırma yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Araştırma evrenini 2012-2013 eğitim-öğretim yılında Muğla İl Merkezine bağlı ortaokullarda öğrenim görmekte olan tüm Ortaokul 4. sınıf öğrencileri, örneklemini ise bu evrenden seçkisiz olarak alınan 569 öğrenci oluşturmaktadır.Araştırmada veri toplama aracı olarak, Serin, Serin-Bulut ve Saygılı (2010) tarafından geliştirilen `Problem Çözme Envanteri`, Aydınlı (2007) tarafından geliştirilen `Bilimsel Süreç Becerileri Testi`, Kolb tarafından 1971 yılında geliştirilen ve 1985'de yeniden düzenlenen, Aşkar ve Akkoyunlu (1993) tarafından Türkçe'ye uyarlanan `Kolb Öğrenme Stil Envanteri` ve araştırmacı tarafından oluşturulan öğrencilerin demografik özelliklerinin yer aldığı `Kişisel Bilgi Formu` kullanılmıştır. Verilerin analizinde SPSS 20.0 paket programı kullanılmıştır. Veriler, betimsel istatistiklerden frekans ve yüzde, bağımsız gruplar t-testi, tek yönlü varyans analizi (One way ANOVA) ve parametrik olmayan istatistiklerden iki değişken için Kay-Kare (Chi-Square) testi kullanılmıştır.Çalışma sonucunda ortaokul 4. Sınıf öğrencilerinin en fazla `Kaçınma` alt boyutunu kullandıkları, `Problem Çözme Becerisine Güven` alt boyutunu orta seviyede ve `Özdenetim` alt boyutunu ise en az kullanıldıkları saptanmıştır. Problem çözme becerileri ile cinsiyet, öğrenim görülen okul, anne eğitim düzeyi ve baba eğitim düzeyi arasında ilişkiye rastlanmamıştır. Öğrencilerin daha büyük oranda `Temel Bilimsel Süreç Becerileri` kullandıkları sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Bilimsel Süreç Becerileri ile cinsiyet ve anne eğitim düzeyi arasında ilişkiye rastlanmazken, öğrenim görülen okul ve baba eğitim düzeyi arasında ilişki olduğu bulgusuna ulaşılmıştır. Ayrıca Bilimsel Süreç Becerileri alt boyutlarından `Birleştirilmiş Süreç Becerileri` ile baba eğitim düzeyi arasında ilişki olduğu belirlenmiştir. Ortaokul 4. sınıf öğrencilerinin büyük çoğunluğunun `Değiştiren`, en az da `Yerleştiren` öğrenme stiline sahip olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Sınıf Öğrencileri, Kolb Öğrenme Stilleri Envanteri The purpose of the present study is to research the secondary school students' problem solving and scientific process skills and their learning styles in relation to gender, the school attended and educational level of the father and mother. The study employed the descriptive research method. The universe of the study consists of all the fourth grade students attending the secondary schools in the city of Muğla in 2012-2013 school year and the sampling of the study consists of 569 students randomly selected from the universe. As data collection instruments, `Problem Solving Inventory` developed by Serin, Serin Bulut and Saygılı (2010), `Scientific Process Skills Test` developed by Aydınlı (2007), `Kolb Learning Styles Inventory` developed by Kolb in 1971, rearranged in 1985 and adapted to Turkish by Aşkar and Akkoyunlu (1993) and `Personal Information Form` to elicit the demographics of the participants were used in the current study. In the analysis of the data, SPSS 20 program package was used. From descriptive statistics, frequencies and percentages were calculated, independent samples t-test and One way ANOVA were run and from non-parametric statistics, Chi-Square for two variables was used to analyze the data. At the end of the study, it was found that 4th grade students most frequently employed `avoidance` sub-dimension, they moderately used `relying on problem solving skill` and they used `self-control` sub-dimension the least. No significant difference was found among the problem solving skills based on gender, the school attended and education level of the father and mother. The students were determined to use `basic scientific process skills` to a greater extent. While in general no significant difference based on gender and education level of the mother was found among scientific process skills, the school attended and education level of the father led to a significant difference. Moreover, it was determined that there is a significant correlation between combined process skills sub-dimension from scientific process skills and the education level of the father. It was concluded that the great majority of the secondary school fourth graders have `diverger` learning style and the smallest number of them have `accommodator` learning style. It was found that learning styles vary depending on the school attended; however, they do not vary depending on gender and education level of the father and mother.
