Bu makalede, binek ve ticari araçların bagaj hacimlerinin uluslararası standartlara göre hesaplanabilmesi için bilgisayar destekli tasarım (CAD) yazılımı içerisinde çalışan bir yerleşim algoritması geliştirilmiş, algoritma kodlanarak örnek modeller üzerinde uygulanmıştır. Dış yüzeyleri ve iç yüzeyleri verilen bagaj geometrik modeli üzerinde, ISO ve DIN standartlarında yer alan yöntem referans alarak bagaj içine konulan hacimsel blokların dik yerleşim düzenlerine göre dizilmesi gerçekleştirilmiş, maksimum sayıda bloğun sığdığı durum bagaj hacmi olarak belirlenmiştir. Bu sayede, yeni araç tasarım sürecinde zaman ve maliyet açısından önemli kazanımlar söz konusu olacak, mevcut durumda fiziksel ortamda manuel olarak yapılan ve zaman alan testler, araç tasarım sürecinde CAD ortamında daha kısa sürede gerçekleştirilebilecektir.

The objective of this study is to design rubber bushing at desired level of stiffness characteristics in order to achieve the ride quality of the vehicle. A differential evolution algorithm based approach is developed to optimize the rubber bushing through integrating a finite element code running in batch mode to compute the objective function values for each generation. Two case studies were given to illustrate the application of proposed approach. Optimum shape parameters of 2D bushing model were determined by shape optimization using differential evolution algorithm.

In this paper, design and analysis of improved energy absorbing pads, which are widely used for reducing occupants' injury in case of side impact, are presented to minimise the side impact effects on occupants. This research is part of an ongoing vehicle design and development project to reduce the vehicle development time and cost by using energy absorbing pads to improve the passive safety for side collisions and to reduce the injuries without further increasing weight of the vehicle. The use of energy absorbing pads, especially in side impact, has been increasing significantly for the last decades. The energy absorption capacity and lightweight material specifications of expanded polypropylene (EPP) and polypropylene (PP) are major characteristics that make the use of these pads in automotive industry. The present approach is employed to design improved energy absorbing pads using different materials and introducing material model selection, modelling, simulation and validity studies.

Recently, the research work for the improvement of the ride comfort quality and dynamic characteristics for vehicle handling performance is taking increasing attention. Although much work has been done on numerical and experimental studies to improve the ride quality and dynamic characteristics, many applications face limitations with respect to conflict between ride comfort and vehicle handling, which mostly depend on the suspension characteristics. This research presents an integrated model-based approach to design optimised suspension systems to improve vehicle dynamics behaviour and to eliminate the drawbacks of physical testing and reduce the cost. This paper is about the part of an ongoing research on vehicle ride comfort and handling optimisation, and integrated full vehicle model design and model validation studies are given in this paper. The optimisation model will be presented in another paper to choose a compromise solution between ride comfort and handling performance.

Huşû, Kur?an?da mü?minlerin özelliği anlamında kullanılmış bir kavramdır. Kök olarak korku alanına ait olan bu kavram, saygı ve sevgi içeren bir korku olmakla diğer korku kavramlarından ayrılır. İnanan insanın Rabbi karşısında boyun bükerek tam bir teslimiyetle itaatini anlatan bir kelimedir. Âhiret hayatında ise tamamen inanmayan insanların içine düştüğü aşağılanmış halini anlatmak için kullanılır. Buçalışmada, iki farklı optimizasyon yöntemi ile iç çap, dış çap, kahnhk,yükseklik ve yükü verilen disk yayların kesit optimizasyonugerçekleştirilmiştir. Amaç fonksiyonu olarak disk hacminin azaltılması ileeksenel deformasyon ve gerilme değerleri kısıtlarından oluşan bir optimizasyonmodeli kurulmuştur. Yapılan optimizasyon çalışmasının geçerliliğini göstermekiçin örnek bir disk yayın optimizasyonu ele alınmıştır .&nbsp

ÖZET Bu çalışmada ürün tasarımı ile işlem planlama arasındaki bütünleşmeyi sağlamak için geliştirilen bir sistem ve yöntemden bahsedilmiştir. Bu bütünleşme bilgisayar destekli tasarım - kurgu planlama ve aparat planlama arasında oluşturulmuştur. Sistem; unsur çıkarma ve tanıma, kurgu planlama ve aparat planlama olmak üzere üç aşamadan oluşmuştur. Kurgu ve aparat planlama için gerekli imalat bilgileri üç boyutlu parça modeli üzerinden alınmış, böylece hem geometrik hem de geometrik olmayan parça özellikleri elde edilmiştir. Bazı unsurlar model üzerinden doğrudan çıkarılmış, diğerleri ise unsur tanıma ile belirlenerek imalat unsurları elde edilmiştir. Öncelik matris analizi ile unsurların işleme sıralarının elde edilmesi için tolerans bilgileri ve unsurlar arası geometrik ilişkiler kullanılmıştır. Unsurların gruplanarak kurgu planlarının oluşturulması için takım yaklaşım yönleri kullanılmıştır. Mümkün unsur işleme sıraları oluşturulmuş ve en az kurguyu oluşturacak sıra dikkate alınmıştır. Bilgisayar bütünleşik imalat ortamında, tasarım ile imalat arasındaki bağı sağlayan aparat tasarımı, işlem planlamanın en önemli yapı taşlarından birisidir. Destek, dayama ve bağlama elemanlarının parça üzerine yerleştirilmeleri için yerleştirme kuralları tanımlanmıştır. Modüler aparat elemanları kullanılarak her bir kurgu için aparat konfıgürasyonları otomatik olarak oluşturulmuştur. Elde edilen aparat konfigürasyonunun doğrulanması için sonlu elemanlar modeli üzerinde işleme operasyonları tanımlanmıştır. Analiz işleminde takımın parça üzerindeki hareketi ve talaş kaldırılması da dikkate alınmıştır. Önerilen analiz modeli ile takımın işleme boyunca dengesinin bozulmaması ve dayama elemanlarından ayrılmaması için gerekli bağlama kuvvetleri hesaplanmıştır. ABSTRACT The purpose of this research is to develop a system and a methodology that allows the integration of product design with process planning. The task is achieved through an integrated CAD - set-up planning - fixture planning. The system consist of three major modules, namely, feature extraction and recognition, set-up planning and fixture planning. These modules are linked to a commercial CAD software. The manufacturing information of a part required for set-up and fixture planning is extracted from the 3D geometric model, thereby both geometric and non-geometric attributes of a part can be obtained. Some of the features are extracted and the others are recognized from a feature based model of a part. Tolerance and geometric relationships between manufacturing features are taken into account in order to obtain the sequence of features using precedence matrix algorithm. Tool approach directions of features are used to group of features into set-ups. An optimisation approach is developed to find the optimal plans from all the feasible feature sequences. The criteria used is the minimum number of set-ups. Fixture planning is an important part of CAPP which is the link between design and manufacturing in a CIM environment. Rules are defined for support, locator and clamp placement based on these and a number of other commonly accepted machining practices. Fixture configuration are produced for every set-up using modular fixture elements. In order to verify the fixture configurations, machining operations are simulated on a finite element model. The model is analyzed respect to tool movement and chip removal. The proposed analysis model determines the clamping forces required to maintain the equilibrium of the workpiece during the process of machining.
