This analysis focuses on probing the lepton portal dark matter using Monte Carlo simulated samples from electron-positron collisions at the International Linear Collider (ILC) of 500 GeV center of mass energy with an integrated luminosity of 1000 fb$^{-1}$. The study examines a benchmark scenario where the dark matter is a scalar particle produced as a daughter particle of the vector-like lepton. The signal topology consists of missing transverse energy and dilepton. If no new physics is discovered,the study sets 95\% confidence level exclusion limits on the mass of vector-like leptons.

We investigate exclusion limits on the the non-universal gaugino mass scenario in the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM), according the the latest results of the super-particle search at the LHC8 and the LHC13. In this scenario, suitable ratios of wino to gluino mass can realize the observed value of the Higgs boson mass, while keeping a small $\mu$ parameter. Such a small $\mu$ parameter corresponds to the mass of higgsino, so that lightest neutralino and chargino are higgsino-like and their masses are almost degenerate. Besides, we find that the right-handed top squark tends to be lighter than other sfermions and then the top squark search, where the top squark decays to a quark and higgsino, is relevant to our model. In our analysis, the exclusion limits are derived using the data of the top squark searches in the $bb + E_T^{\rm miss}$ and $tb + E_T^{\rm miss}$ channels. Furthermore, the exclusion limit on gluino mass, which is crucial to our scenario, is investigated as well. We present the first high spectral resolution observations of Orion KL in the frequency ranges 1573.4 - 1702.8 GHz (band 6b) and 1788.4 - 1906.8 GHz (band 7b) obtained using the HIFI instrument on board the Herschel Space Observatory. We characterize the main emission lines found in the spectrum, which primarily arise from a range of components associated with Orion KL including the hot core, but also see widespread emission from components associated with molecular outflows traced by H2O, SO2, and OH. We present initial results from the Herschel GT key program: Herschel observations of EXtra-Ordinary Sources (HEXOS) and outline the promise and potential of spectral surveys with Herschel/HIFI. The HIFI instrument offers unprecedented sensitivity, as well as continuous spectral coverage across the gaps imposed by the atmosphere, opening up a largely unexplored wavelength regime to high-resolution spectroscopy. We show the spectrum of Orion KL between 480 and 560 GHz and from 1.06 to 1.115 THz. From these data, we confirm that HIFI separately measures the dust continuum and spectrally resolves emission lines in Orion KL. Based on this capability we demonstrate that the line contribution to the broad-band continuum in this molecule-rich source is ~20-40% below 1 THz and declines to a few percent at higher frequencies. We also tentatively identify multiple transitions of HD18O in the spectra. The first detection of this rare isotopologue in the interstellar medium suggests that HDO emission is optically thick in the Orion hot core with HDO/H2O ~ 0.02. We report on the initial analysis of a Herschel/PACS full range spectrum of Neptune, covering the 51-220 micrometer range with a mean resolving power of ~ 3000, and complemented by a dedicated observation of CH4 at 120 micrometers. Numerous spectral features due to HD (R(0) and R(1)), H2O, CH4, and CO are present, but so far no new species have been found. Our results indicate that (i) Neptune's mean thermal profile is warmer by ~ 3 K than inferred from the Voyager radio-occultation; (ii) the D/H mixing ratio is (4.5+/-1) X 10**-5, confirming the enrichment of Neptune in deuterium over the protosolar value (~ 2.1 X 10**-5); (iii) the CH4 mixing ratio in the mid stratosphere is (1.5+/-0.2) X 10**-3, and CH4 appears to decrease in the lower stratosphere at a rate consistent with local saturation, in agreement with the scenario of CH4 stratospheric injection from Neptune's warm south polar region; (iv) the H2O stratospheric column is (2.1+/-0.5) X 10**14 cm-2 but its vertical distribution is still to be determined, so the H2O external flux remains uncertain by over an order of magnitude; and (v) the CO stratospheric abundance is about twice the tropospheric value, confirming the dual origin of CO suspected from ground-based millimeter/submillimeter observations., Comment: Accepted for publication in Astronomy & Astrophysics (special issue on Herschel first results)

The Receiver Lab Telescope (RLT) is a ground-based terahertz telescope; it is currently the only instrument producing astronomical data between 1 and 2 THz. The capabilities of the RLT have been expanding since observations began in late 2002. Initial observations were limited to the 850 GHz and 1.03 THz windows due to the availability of solid state local oscillators. In the last year we have begun observations with new local oscillators for the 1.3 and 1.5 THz atmospheric windows. These oscillators provide access to the 11-10 and 13-12 lines of CO at 1.267 and 1.497 THz, as well as the [N II] line at 1.461 THz. We report on our first measurements of these high CO transitions, which represent the highest-frequency detections ever made from the ground. We also present initial observations of [N II] and discuss the implications of this non-detection for the standard estimates of the strength of this line., Comment: 4 pages, 4 figures, IEEEtran.cls.
