The 3U CubeSat OrigamiSat-1’s deployable membrane structure is 1m-by-1m in size after deployment and is stowed in less than 1U CubeSat (10cm-by-10cm-by-8cm), including a hold-and-release mechanism. The major significance of the structural concept is that it allows the attachment of thin-film devices, such as thin-film solar cells or flexible substrates for antennas throughout the membrane. This was achieved by two features: (i) use of textile and (ii) invention of hybrid boom made of tubular carbon composite and metal convex tape. In addition, a visual membrane measurement system consisting of stereo cameras was developed. This paper describes the new technologies developed for this CubeSat.

金沢大学理工研究域機械工学系, The purpose of the paper is to present findings on creating new pump-in and pump-out type of gas-lubricated grooved spool bearings. A gas-lubricated grooved spool bearing can generate a gas film bearing pressure with shaft rotation in either direction, and also support both an axial load and a radial load at the same time. So far, several studies on the gas-lubricated grooved spool bearings have been reported. However, such conventional studies investigated only one rotational direction. In previous researches the authors proposed a new idea for journal, thrust circular-disk, conical and spherical type bearings rotating both regular and reverse sides. As a result of such previous studies, proposed idea shows satisfactory properties as a bearing. In this paper, an optimal regular and reverse rotation-type gas-lubricated spool grooved bearing is developed referring to bearing parameters. Our approach utilized the narrow groove theory. Suitable combinations of parameters of thrust/journal bearing for spool bearing were shown by numerical analysis of bearing characteristics (the load carrying capacity, the stiffness, and the damping coefficient, etc). It is clarified that the present bearing is not inferior to the conventional bearing.

金沢大学理工研究域機械工学系, 道路トンネルは閉鎖空間であり，火災時には熱気流・煙の拡散により人的被害が大きくなる恐れがある．このため長大トンネルでは縦流風を制御して煙の拡散を抑制する低風速化制御が採用されている．近年，縦断勾配の大きいトンネルの建設が増えていることから，縦断勾配が低風速化制御に及ぼす影響について火災シミュレーションと避難シミュレーションを連成させることで要救助者数を算出し評価を行った．その結果，熱気流が縦断勾配によって影響を受け，火災時の避難環境を悪化させることを確認した．また縦断勾配の値に従って風速を制御することにより，要救助者数を最小と出来る事を検証した．, in Press

金沢大学理工研究域機械工学系, 延長が500m以下の船底型をした都市内道路トンネルを対象に，自動車火災が発生した場合の換気施設による排煙の有効性について検討した．検討には煙挙動CFD数値シミュレーションと避難数値シミュレーションを用いた．トンネル内に1.2m/sの自然風を有していると煙が拡がり，換気施設による排煙を行わない場合は10名を超える利用者が煙に暴露され避難が困難な状況となる．一方，換気施設による排煙を行った場合，自然風が存在する状況下においても0.3m3/s·m以上の排煙量を確保すると煙の拡がりは抑制され，煙に暴露される利用者は3名から0名程度に減少した．このことから，延長が短い場合でも利用者の避難時の安全性を確保するためには，換気施設による排煙が必要であることを確認した．\n The present paper indicates that effects of smoke extraction by ventilation system in road tunnel fires, which model tunnels adopted urban U-shaped tunnels shorter than 500 m length. The investigation used smoke CFD simulation and evacuation simulation. In the case with natural ventilation velocity 1.2 m/s, the situation where it difficult for over 10 users to evacuate due to exposure by smoke occurred with no smoke extraction by ventilation facilities. Meanwhile in the case with over 0.3 m3/s·m of smoke extraction by ventilation facilities, smoke propagation can be controlled even with natural ventilation existing, the number of users exposed by smoke decreased from 3 persons to 0. Hence, it was confirmed that even in short tunnels smoke extraction by ventilation facilities was necessary to keep the users' evacuation safety in tunnel fires.

金沢大学理工研究域機械工学系, 道路トンネルは閉鎖された空間であり，火災が発生すると煙の遡上などにより，明り部よりも被害が拡大する可能性がある．近年の安心安全が求めらる社会情勢から，トンネル内の非常用施設を増強すべきと考えるが，費用や期間の面から，全てのトンネルの非常用施設の充実を図ることは難しい．このような課題に対し，リスクアナリシス手法を用いて，各々のトンネルの潜在的火災リスクを評価し，それに見合う対策を選定し，対策が必要なトンネルに対し，計画的に対応すれば，効率的に，未然に大きな被害を回避することができると考える．本稿では高速道路トンネル火災に関する「リスクアナリシス手法」を用いた，対策トンネルの絞り込みと対策の選定方法や，計画的，効率的に日本の高速道路トンネルの火災リスクを低減するしくみを提案する．\n The devastation caused by the Great East Japan Earthquake of 2011 has taught us, once again, the importance of taking measures in advance to prevent foreseeable disasters. In Europe, an EU directive was issued after a major tunnel fire, and member states have enacted and are implementing stricter tunnel safety standards. And the accident at Sasago tunnel in 2012, has reasserted the importance of putting "safety first." With progress in simulation technology to reproduce tunnel fires accurately, it is now possible to identify potentially high-risk tunnels before fires occur. Our study on the current issues and their countermeasures are reported in this paper.

金沢大学理工研究域機械工学系, トンネル火災時の煙挙動CFD解析と避難シミュレーションとの1-way couplingによって煙流動に影響された避難者の行動を求め，煙中で行動不能に陥っている要救助者の数によって火災安全性を定量的に評価する方法を提案した．煙による影響を簡略化して表すために，CFD解析から幅方向平均煙濃度分布を求め，さらに路面からの高さとその高さにおける煙濃度から判定する数段階程度の危険度を導入した．危険度をトンネル長さ軸と時間軸によるコンター図で表すことにより，火災時の煙の時間的な流動挙動を簡便な1枚の図で表すことが可能になった．避難シミュレーションはトンネル形状の特徴を考慮して一次元とし，トンネル利用者は避難の必要性を，天井部を流動する煙，他の避難者からの情報伝達，避難放送によって認識するとモデル化した．\n The present paper proposed quantitative assessment method for road tunnel fire safety by numerical simulation of evacuation in smoke. To evaluate the influence of smoke on evacuees, Smoke Environment Level (R) has been defined as a function of time and longitudinal location, by simplifying smoke distribution derived from 3-D CFD analysis and then weighting it with visibility. By mapping R on time-distance plane, smoke's behavior in tunnel fire can be concisely expressed. In the developed 1-D evacuation simulation method using R, each evacuee recognized the necessity of evacuation through smoke's behavior, other evacuees' behavior or emergency announcement. The number of people who were surrounded by thick smoke in 10 minutes was used as evaluation index for tunnel fire safety. The present method has been tested in the cases of various longitudinal gradients and evacuees' moving speed.

金沢大学理工研究域機械工学系, 論文は，道路トンネルに対して排煙塔を設置することによる火災時の排熱効果について，1/5スケール模型トンネルを用いた火災実験を行い，その特性について明らかにした結果を報告するものである．火災実験の結果，排煙塔から排出される排熱流量は主に車路天井近傍熱気流平均上昇温度に支配され，その3/2乗に比例することが分かった．また，排熱効率は上昇温度にはほとんど影響されず，0.44～0.61の範囲になることが分かった．また，模型トンネル実験結果の普遍性の確認のため，LESシミュレーターにより排煙塔下流側トンネル長さの影響を調べたところ，排煙塔周囲の流れ場はほとんど違いがなく，排熱流量が上昇温度の3/2乗に比例する関係も同様に確認することができた．
