This study introduces a new modified Moore – Gibson – Thompson Photo-Thermal (MGTPT) theory with two temperatures for semiconductor material. The photo-thermoelastic effects has been investigated in an infinitely constrained semiconducting solid cylinder subjected to variable heat flux in the form of exponential laser pulse. The Laplace transforms were used for the solution of the mathematical model in the transformed domain. The numerical inversion was applied to obtain the displacement components, the conductive temperature, the carrier density, and the thermal stresses in the physical domain. The impact of different theories of thermoelasticity with two temperatures on the displacement, temperature, thermal stresses and carrier density were represented graphically and discussed using Matlab software.

The paper aims to study the new modified couple stress theory in fiber-reinforced magneto-thermoelastic medium (FrMTM) with Hall current, rotation and with hyperbolic two-temperature (H2T) due to ramp-type heat. The Fourier's law of heat conduction with fractional-order (Fo) three-phase lag (TPL) derivative is used to form the model of the problem. Laplace and Fourier's transforms are used to solve this mathematical model. The displacement components, temperature change, couple stress and axial stress components are calculated in the transformed domain and have been converted in the physical domain with the numerical inversion technique. These physical quantities are drawn graphically using the MATLAB software to show the effects of the FoTPL theory for different values of fractional-order parameter $ \alpha $ α and different theories of thermoelasticity, namely, the FoTPL theory, the FoGN-III theory, the FoGN-II theory and the FoTPLGN-II theory. Staphylococcus aureus (S. aureus) is a very common human pathogenic microorganism that can cause a variety of infectious diseases, including skin and soft tissue infections, endocarditis, osteomyelitis, bacteremia, and lethal pneumonia. About one-third of the common population is colonized with S. aureus. MRSA is a formidable pathogen known to cause high mortality & morbidity, that poses a significant threat to public health worldwide. Presence of MRSA strains, resistant to multiple antibiotics especially in hospital stay, has complicated the management of infections caused by this bacterium. The aim of this study was to shed light on the prevalence and antimicrobial sensitivity pattern of MRSA among patients in a tertiary care center located in Faridabad, Haryana. This cross-sectional observational study was conducted in the Department of Microbiology, ESIC Medical College & Hospital, a 510 bedded tertiary care teaching hospital in Faridabad, Haryana, India. All wound samples including pus, exudates, wound swab and tissue samples received for aerobic culture and antimicrobial sensitivity from various clinical departments from January 2019 to July 2019 were included in this study. A total of 747 samples were received from January 2019-July 2019. Mean age of this study population was found to be 50.7 ± 14.8 years. Out of 747 samples, 226 (30.25%) were culture positive. Among the S. aureus isolates, methicillin resistance was seen amongst 39 (58.2%). Antibiotic Susceptibility results of S. aureus showed 100% resistance to Penicillin along with 100% resistance to Fluoroquinolones in both MRSA and MSSA. High prevalence of MRSA amongst patients highlights the importance of continued surveillance and implementation of antimicrobial stewardship program to control the menace of antimicrobial resistance.
