ว่านสาวหลงเป็นพืชในวงศ์ Zingiberaceae ชื่อวิทยาศาสตร์ :Amomum biflorum Jack มีสรรพคุณบำรุงหัวใจ ขับลม น้ำมันหอมระเหยมีกลิ่นหอม จึงมีการนำมาประยุกต์ใช้เป็นส่วนประกอบของผลิตภัณฑ์พิมเสนน้ำในรูปแบบต่างๆ เช่น เสปรย์, เจลปรับอากาศ หรือรูปสารละลาย โดยหลักการในการเตรียมตำหรับพิมเสนน้ำจะอาศัยปรากฏการณ์ Eutectic :ซึ่งองค์ประกอบหลักของตำรับจะประกอบด้วย น้ำมันหอมระเหยม พิมเสน, การบูร, สะระแหน่ม และกรดไขมัน โดยขั้นตอนในการเตรียมคือ ผสมสารที่จะเกิดปรากฤการณ์ Eutectic คือ พิมเสน การะบูร และสะระแหน่ จากนั้นผสมในส่วนของสารส่วนของน้ำมันเช่นกรดไขมัน คนให้เข้ากันโดยใช้ความร้อนช่วย ทิ้งไว้ให้เย็น จึงเติมน้ำมันห้อมระเหย น้ำมันว่านสาวหลง สำหรับสิ่งที่ควรพิจารณาในการตั้งตำรับคือ สัดส่วนของสารที่จะนำมาผสมกันเพื่อให้เกิดปรากฏการณ์ Eutectic ปริมาณน้ำมันว่านสาวหลง และความร้อนที่เหมาะสมในการทำให้ส่วนที่ละลายน้ำและกรดไขมันมีความเข้ากัน

The polymerase chain reaction (PCR) technique is adopted for pharmacogenetic testing and adverse drug reaction (ADR) analysis. Methods: PCR was used for testing of pharmacogenetic markers for HLA and non-HLA polymorphism related to specific drugs.Among 76 cases that underwent genetic screening, 7.7%, 11.1%, and 2.7% of the patients were found to be genetically positive for allopurinol, carbamazepine, and abacavir, respectively. Two cases were genetically positive for interferon, and two cases of extensive metabolizers were positive for clopidogrel. One case of a NAT2 slow acetylator for isoniazid was found. Among the 74 cases with complete outcomes, 39.2% showed improvements and 18.9% reported a deterioration. Although no serious ADR was observed, two HLA-B*5701-negative cases reported ADRs (2.7%). All patients positive for IL28B were improved. One patient receiving clopidogrel showed improvements, but another showed deterioration. Finally, the outcome of slow acetylation NAT2 was worse without ADR.PCR-based pharmacogenetic testing is critical for ADR monitoring in a cost-effective manner.

Oncology pharmacists, pharmacy technicians and assistants are key members of the multidisciplinary health care team (MHT) caring for patients receiving immunotherapy with immune checkpoint inhibitors. The International Society of Oncology Pharmacy Practitioners (ISOPP) developed this position statement to provide guidance on the role of oncology pharmacy practitioners in caring for patients receiving immune checkpoint inhibitors. Four key recommendations were identified: 1) participation as an integrated, collaborative member of the MHT; 2) provision of education and training for patients, students, residents, fellows and other members of the MHT; 3) involvement in clinical governance to optimise the use of immune checkpoint inhibitors and 4) involvement in research and development in the field of immunotherapy. In summary, oncology pharmacy practitioners play essential roles within the MHT in caring for patients receiving immune checkpoint inhibitors.

The Oncology Pharmacy Team (OPT), consisting of specialty-trained pharmacists and/or pharmacy technicians, is an integral component of the multidisciplinary healthcare team (MHT) involved with all aspects of cancer patient care. The OPT fosters quality patient care, safety, and local regulatory compliance. The International Society of Oncology Pharmacy Practitioners (ISOPP) developed this position statement to provide guidance on five key areas: 1) oncology pharmacy practice as a pharmacy specialty; 2) contributions to patient care; 3) oncology pharmacy practice management; 4) education and training; and 5) contributions to oncology research and quality initiatives to involve the OPT. This position statement advocates that: 1) the OPT be fully incorporated into the MHT to optimize patient care; 2) educational and healthcare institutions develop programs to continually educate OPT members; and 3) regulatory authorities develop certification programs to recognize the unique contributions of the OPT in cancer patient care.

WOS: 000466869900005 Background: Kahoot is a web-based learning that uses worldwide in the education field. From the review literature, lecture with a Kahoot web-based learning will improve the learning skill. However, there have been a few studies of using Kahoot web-based learning in pharmacy education. Therefore, the aim of this study is to compare pre-and post -learning skill using Kahoot web-based learning and observe the trend of effect for 2 generations. Method: Pre-and Posttest was established in Clinical Pharmacokinetics class of 5th year Pharmacy Students for 2 consecutive generations. Before class, the students did the questionnaire to evaluate learning skill and then this group was beginning to enroll the class using Kahoot web-based learning. The 8 dimensions of learning skills; Literacy, Numeracy, Reasoning, Creative problem solving, Critical thinking, Collaborative, Communication and Computing were evaluated. The trend of effect was observed. Results: The data from 21 Pharmacy Students (11 from year 2016, 10 from year 2017) who enroll Clinical Pharmacokinetics course in topic "Therapeutic Drug Monitoring of Aminoglycosides" shown that improved of 8 dimension skills scores after learning with Kahoot web-based as follow (Mean +/- SD); Literacy (3.29 +/- 0.64 vs 4.19 +/- 0.40), Numeracy (3.24 +/- 0.83 vs 4.05 +/- 0.50), Reasoning (3.29 +/- 0.56 vs 4.19 +/- 0.40), Creative problem thinking (3.05 +/- 0.59 vs 4.19+ 0.60), Critical thinking (3.10 +/- 0.70 vs 4.10 +/- 0.62), Collaborative (3.19 +/- 0.75 vs 4.19 +/- 0.40), Communication (3.24 +/- 0.62 vs 4.24 +/- 0.44) and Computing (3.14 +/- 0.73 vs 4.00 +/- 0.62). The separate analysis results had the same trends. Conclusion: From the results, Kahoot web-based leaning could improve learning skill in Pharmacy Students. The effects consist in 2 generations. However, the confirmation study in the large group also needed.

Objective : The purpose of the study was to estimate the pharmacokinetic parameters and calculate the precision (%RMSE) of the predicted lithium concentration equation. Methods : This research was studied from blood Lithium levels of Children who had visited Yuwaprasart Waithayopathum Child Psychiatric Hospital from 31 December 2009-1 January 2011 The accuracy and precision of the equation were evaluated by the mathematical principle. The assist package software (WIN-NONLIN) was used to create pharmacokinetic parameters. Results : Twenty-nine patients were recruited. The characteristics (mean+SD) presented as the following; age = 15.79+2.64 y, weight = 69.75+22.28 kg and the daily dose = 858.62+274.53 mg. The trough Lithium concentrations (mean+SD) = 0.56+19 mg/l. The kinetic parameter (Mean+SD) presented as the following; t 1/2 =7.23+3.38 hr., ke =0.12+0.07 hr-1, Vd = 48.83+15.60 L, AUC0-12 =11.01+5.61 mg x hr/l. The population pharmacokinetic parameters; ke, and AUC (0-∞) = 0.151 hr-1 and 169.81, mg x hr./l respectively. The modified equation from Yukawa for lithium clearance calculation and prediction lithium concentrations were CL (mL/min) = [36.5+(0.242x BW (kg)-7.79]/Scr (mg/dL) and lithium concentration (mg/l) = 4 x Dose (mg)/CL (mL/min)x73.89, respectively with 6.39 %RMSE (test for 20 patients data). Conclusion : In conclusion, the modified Yukawa equation may be used for the prediction of lithium concentration with 6.39% RMSE.
