The importance of quality seeds that are adaptive in local rice production centers greatly determines plant productivity, especially for strategic food commodities that are really needed by the community. The successful application of superior rice seeds cannot be separated from the farmer's rationality regarding the use and usefulness of these superior seeds. This research aims to identify superior rice seeds used by farmers in production centers and analyze the comparative effect of using superior seeds on the welfare of farmers in South Bangka Regency and Bangka Regency. Data collection was carried out through a survey of 60 rice farmers in Toboali sub-district, South Bangka Regency and in West Mendo District, Bangka Regency. The research data was analyzed using descriptive analysis and propensity score matching to see the effect on farmer welfare. Based on the research results, it was concluded that the characteristics of the superior rice seeds used by farmers in the production centers of Bangka Regency and South Bangka Regency had different characteristics based on the specific location and type of rice produced. The use of superior rice seeds has the effect of increasing income, increasing productivity and increasing the selling price of rice which has significant differences between the two groups of rice farmers in Rias Village, Toboali District, Bangka Regency and rice farmers in Payabenua Village, Mendo Barat District, Bangka Regency.

Edible film is a thin layer that can coat food products and protect them from physical, chemical, and microbiological disturbances. This study aimed to determine the effect of the concentration ratio and different plasticizers on the thickness, water vapour transmission rate, and morphology of protein-based edible films. The study used a completely randomized design with a factorial pattern. The experiment involved two factors: Factor A, which was the whey-gelatine concentration ratio, at three levels (A1 = 1:0.5; A2 = 1:0.75; A3 = 1:1); and Factor B, which was the plasticizer, at two levels (B1 = glycerol; B2 = polyethylene glycol (PEG)). Methane (CH4) and nitrous oxide (N2O) are the two most important greenhouse gases (GHG) from flooded paddy fields in Indonesia. This review aims to characterise CH4 and N2O emissions from flooded paddy fields by published data analysis and to examine the potential of biochar from rice straw (RSB) and rice husk (RHB) to mitigate the emissions in Indonesia. A comparison of various box-plot datasets of CH4 emissions showed that the different types of flooded paddy field soil cause varying amounts of CH4 emissions from various regions in Indonesia. Sequentially, CH4 emissions of flooded paddy fields from highest to lowest are Alluvial of Kalimantan and Sulawesi, Andisols of Java, Ultisols of Sumatra, Alfisols of Java and Bali and Inceptisols of Java and Bali, with a mean of 1062, 505, 446, 135 and 64 kg ha-1 season-1, respectively. The organic amendments application combined with chemical fertilisers is the principal driver of anthropogenic CH4 emissions from paddy fields. However, N chemical fertiliser application contributes only about 0.37% of the N2O flux, 0.69 kg ha-1 season-1. The produced biochar number was insufficient effectively to reduce CH4 and N2O emissions, at least 20 tonnes ha-1 year-1, in addition to the pyrolysis process to produce biochar, releasing CH4 emissions. Yet, with its recalcitrant properties and continuous application, RSB and RHB potentially reduce CH4 and N2O emissions from paddy fields.

Packaging is a tool used to protect products from physical damage; edible films can improve food quality and reduce plastic-based packaging materials. This study aimed to determine the effect of adding whey protein concentration on gelatin edible film thickness, water vapour transmission rate, and moisture content. This research used a completely randomized design with 4 treatments and 3 replications. The treatments consisted of P0 (0 g whey: 2 g gelatin), P1 (0.05 g whey: 2 g gelatin), P2 (0.10 g whey: 2 g gelatin), P3 (0.15 g whey: 2 g gelatin). The addition of whey protein had a significant effect (P0.05) was found on the water vapour transmission rate and moisture content. Nonetheless, employing whey protein can reduce the water vapour transmission rate and increase the moisture content of edible gelatin film. The findings suggest that incorporating whey protein can enhance the physicochemical properties of gelatin films. Using whey protein at a concentration of 0.05 g is deemed the optimum treatment.

The availability of phosphorus (P) in ultisol acid soils presents a significant challenge due to its attachment to aluminum (Al) or iron (Fe) compounds. A potential solution to address this issue is the utilization of phosphate solubilizing bacteria (PSB). Therefore, this study aimed to analyze the potential of PSB originating from upland rice cultivation on ultisol soils. The bacterial isolates were obtained from soil samples taken from the rhizosphere area and root tissue of upland rice plants cultivated in Payabenua and Saing Villages, Bangka Regency. The pathogenicity testing encompassed hypersensitivity and hemolysis tests, while the P solubilization included the evaluation of the phosphate solubilizing index (PSI) and P dissolution. Subsequently, the selected isolates were subjected to phosphatase enzyme and organic acid content assessment. The results showed a total of 120 isolates, predominantly distributed in the Payabenua area and primarily consisting of endophytic bacteria. Among the six selected isolates, genus Burkholderia dominated four isolates, while the remaining isolates belonged to genus Serratia. Furthermore, in Burkholderia vietnamiensis, the solubility value of P in AlPO4 and Ca3(PO4)2 liquid media exhibited a range of 0.0013 to 0.0344% and 0.0008 to 0.1842%, respectively.

Music therapy is the professional use of musical interventions and their elements in a therapeutic relationship to achieve specific goals. Rehabilitation of drug addicts through music therapy is one of the concepts of social rehabilitation by helping to recognize and accept different emotions, develop expressive abilities and self-awareness, increase self-confidence, and facilitate relaxation and reduce stress. The research method used in this research is field research. Based on research conducted by the author at the Way Huwi Narcotics Penitentiary, Lampung Province, using the concept of passive music therapy by only listening to music, the object of research tends to only reach the stage of feeling calm and not yet at the stage of changing mindset significantly to leave old habits and replace them with habits. While the activities carried out in the active music therapy process can include singing, songwriting, improvisation, and performing performances that have therapeutic elements so that the use of active music therapy tends to provide a maximum role rather than just listening. Based on the perspective of human rights, this rehabilitation is in line with the recognition of human rights in the 1945 Constitution which is contained in Article 28A, Article 28C paragraph 1 and then Article 28H paragraph 2.

Background: The Global Adult Tobacco Survey is an official agency that systematically monitors adult tobacco use and tracks key tobacco contro indicators. This survey collects data on people aged 15 years and over. The purpose of this study was to analyze the socio-cultural, personality, and environmental relatiionship with smoking behavior. Methods: This research uses a cross-sectional method. The population is all students of classes X and XI at Public Senior High School 1 Peulimbang as many as 125 people and the entire population is used as a sample. Data analysis consisted of univariate, multivariate, and bivariate analysis using chi-square bivariate test and multivariate analysis using Poisson regression at = 0.05. Results: The results variable bivariate associated with smoking is a social-cultural behavior with P0.001; RP=7,819; CI 95%=4,358-14,028, personalized with P0.001; RP= 57,759; CI 95%=8,234-405,158, environment with P0.001; RP=5,750; CI 95%=3,069-10,772. Conclusion: The most dominant variables associated with smoking behavior Public Senior High School 1 Peulimbang was statistically significant, (personal approach 0,05). The prevalence of smoking behavior with personal is RP = 42,630; CI 95%=5,376-338,064; P=0,000.

Background: Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) is an acute febrile disease found in the tropics with a geographic distribution like malaria. Dengue fever is spread to humans by the Aedes aegypti mosquito. More than 100 tropical and subtropical countries have experienced dengue eruptions and dengue hemorrhagic fever; approximately 50,000 cases each year are hospitalized, with thousands of people dying. Objective: This study aims to determine the effect of water storage and humidity on the incidence of Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) in the work area of the Kebayakan Health Centre, Central Aceh Regency. Materials and Methods: This research is an analytic survey research with a case-control research design. In this case, there were 55 DHF patients consisting of children and the elderly as respondents. Controls were 55 DHF patients consisting of children and the elderly. The analysis used a chi-square test. Result: The results showed that the factors that significantly affected the incidence of DHF were humidity (P=0.002 OR=4.571 95% CI=1.752-11928) and water reservoirs (P=0.004 OR=3.328 95% CI=1.521–7.282). Conclusions: it is hoped that the community will participate in efforts to eradicate dengue hemorrhagic fever (PSN-DHF), and water reservoirs should be cleaned at least once a week to prevent the presence of mosquito larvae and pay more attention to environmental sanitation.

Background: Early marriage can be harmful to one’s health. There have been 1,396 births among Indonesian women under the age of 20. 62.15% of couples in Yogyakarta’s Special Region are married, with an early marriage rate of 0.83% between the ages of 15 and 19. with 45.23% of deliveries (aged 15-49 years). Yogyakarta has a 4.94% rate of early marriage at the age of 16, and an 8.88% rate at the age of 17-18. Objective: The cause of the following article is to find out the link between the role of mother and father as educators and the behavior of warding off early marriage. Materials and Methods: The studies approach used in this examination is a literature review. Online journal portals such as Google Scholar are used for journal searches. Results: we obtained 200 journals that matched the keywords and then filtered them to obtain 20 journals that met the inclusion criteria. The findings of a review of twenty journals revealed that 14 journals reported a lack of parental roles as educators in the behavior of preventing early marriage in adolescents. The factors for early marriage are due to a lack of parental roles in educating the family environment, a lack of motivation in learning, the influence of mass media, and a lack of communication in the family. Conclusions: There is a link between the role of parents as educators and the behavior of adolescents in preventing early marriage.

Agronomic constraints for vegetable cultivation in riparian wetlands are low soil quality and shallow water table conditions. This study aims to identify the effect of biochar application and shallow water table on proline accumulation and plant growth of bean leaf (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) at the generative stage. This study was carried out from April to August 2018 in factorial randomized block design. The first factor was doses of biochar (0, 1, and 2 kg.m-2), and the second was shallow water table condition (20 cm and 10 cm below the soil surface) given in the generative stage. The results showed that biochar application and the shallow water table significantly affected leaf parameters; proline accumulation and increases in the sucrose levels occurred on the leaves. Proline content increased started at 3 days after treatment (DAT) and decreased at 6 DAT until recovery day (7 DAT). The biochar application of 2 kg.m-2 provided good aeration in the soil, which enhanced the bean's ability to survive under excess water. Proline accumulation is one of the adaptation mechanisms of beans to abiotic stress in shallow water table conditions.

ABSTRACT This research aims to examine and investigate in depth about the causes of the absorption of delays that occur in the Central University of Jember University. This research begins with the uneasiness of the phenomenon that occurs in the Central UKM University of Jember will be a delay in the absorption of the budget. This problem certainly has an impact on funds used temporarily to meet pre-event needs. Even more so if the funds needed are large. In addition, this delay in budget absorption also results in suboptimal activities carried out and has an impact on the University of Jember, specifically related to one of the principles of GUG (Good University Governance), namely the principle of responsibility which indicates the extent to which the process of providing public services carried out by Jember University, is it already in accordance with administrative and organizational requirements that are true and in accordance with statutory regulations. This research is qualitative research using ethnomethodology study methods. The results showed that the cause of the delay in budget absorption was due to the delay in the submission of TOR, unpreparedness in the implementation of SIMAWA, the existence of a long bureaucratic process plus a clash of busyness from the approval party, delay in SPJ collection, accumulation of activity programs at the end of the year, and the number of activity programs proposed by Central UKM of Jember University. Penelitian ini berawal dari adanya keresahan fenomena yang terjadi pada UKM Pusat Universitas Jember akan keterlambatan dalam penyerapan anggaran. Adanya permasalahan ini tentu saja berdampak pada dana-dana yang digunakan sementara untuk memenuhi kebutuhan pra acara. Terlebih lagi jika dana yang dibutuhkan dalam nominal yang besar. Selain itu keterlambatan penyerapan anggaran ini juga mengakibatkan tidak optimalnya kegiatan yang dilaksanakan serta berdampak pada Universitas Jember, khsusunya terkait dengan salah satu prinsip GUG (Good University Goververnance) yaitu prinsip responsibilitas yang menunjukkan sejauh mana proses pemberian pelayanan publik yang dilakukan oleh Universitas Jember, apakah sudah sesuai dengan ketentuan-ketentuan administrasi dan organisasi yang benar dan sesuai dengan peraturan perundang-undangan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif menggunakan metode studi etnometodologi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penyebab keterlambatan penyerapan anggaran dikarenakan keterlambatan dalam pengajuan TOR, ketidaksiapan dalam penerapan SIMAWA, adanya proses birokrasi yang panjang ditambah benturan kesibukan dari pihak approval, keterlambatan pengumpulan SPJ, penumpukan program kegiatan di akhir tahun, dan banyaknya program kegiatan yang diusulkan oleh UKM Pusat Universitas Jember. Capsicum Annuum L. is one of the vegetable commodities that have high economic value in fulfilling Indonesia's domestic needs with an area of chili harvest of around 11,400 ha per month. One of the stages in the cultivation of chili plants is the process of transplanting after sowing, namely the condition of the seeds having 4-5 permanent leaves. The impact if it is not immediately transferred is that the plant does not have enough adaptation period in completing its vegetative growth so that the plant quickly ages and enters the generative stage. Digital image processing can be applied to the identification and calculation of permanent leaves of large chili plants with a deep learning approach. One method that can be used is You Only Look Once version 4, which is the development of a convolutional neural network in object detection in the form of boundary box prediction results with a CSPdarknet53 backbone. The YOLOv4 model is integrated with the Raspberry Pi 4 Model B mini computer and sends notifications via the Bot feature in the Telegram application. The image dataset used is 135 pieces with 1409 samples for permanent class and 1945 samples for the young class. This system was successfully implemented with the identification and calculation accuracy value of 92.85% and the inference time value for the detection of one plant was 11.88 seconds and for sending notifications was 25.29 seconds.

One of the needs of urban communities today is the availability of practical food ingredients, namely those that are ready to cook (ready to be cooked) and ready to eat (ready to eat). Being Ready of cook means that it takes less time to prepare food. One form of food that is ready to cook is nuggets. Nuggets are one of the foods that are most often consumed and made by everyone, either for their own use, for sale, or for others. Nuggets seem more elegant because this food does not characterize luxury or lack. This socialization aims to increase fish consumption in Koto Damai Village. This socialization uses Factorial Design and Nugget content, which consists of 2 factors. The first factor is the ingredients used to make nuggets, including: Fish Fillet, Catfish, Carrots, Scallions, Garlic, Salt and seasonings, Wheat Flour, Panir Flour, Eggs, and Water. The second factor is the type of fish, namely: Catfish.

Benefits of biochar application on environment conservation and agricultural production have been widely studied. However, few studies were focused on root development. The objective of this study covered root and shoot development, yield, and soil properties associated with exposure of Oryza glaberrima rice during the early reproductive stage to drought stress in rice-husk amended soil. The biochar was amended at a rate of 10.5 g pot-1, equivalent to 3 ton ha-1. Biochar-amended and non-amended plants were exposed to drought stress after the panicles had visibly emerged in all plant populations. Biochar application caused less restriction on root elongation, volume, and surface area during water stress conditions. Enhanced root development was primarily associated with improvement in water status and chemical properties in biochar-amended soil. Soil chemical properties improved, including increased soil pH, available P, cation exchange capacity, and exchangeable Mg. Under drought stress conditions, shoot growth was more sensitive than root growth, as indicated by the significant reduction of stem dry weight (SDW) and leaf dry weight (LDW). Fine roots in biochar-amended soil were longer than those in non-amended soil. In general, Biochar application enable the O. glaberrima rice to maintain yield under drought stress condition.

Chili pepper (Capsicum annuum L.) is a preferred vegetable by local farmers at a riparian wetland in Indonesia due to high market demand and its economic value. Chili pepper can be grown immediately after rice harvesting, concurrently with the early dry season. Three chili pepper varieties, namely Genie, Romario, and Laris were evaluated for their adaptability to drought condition. Drought treatment was imposed for 7 days until soil water potential was dropped to around −30 to −40 kPa. Morphological and photosynthetic traits were measured at pre-, during, and post-drought exposures. Growth analysis was calculated based on measured morphological traits. Results indicated that the number of leaves (NoL), total leaf area (TLA), total accumulated dry matter (TDM), and relative growth rate (RGR) were negatively affected by drought. Water content of shoot (SWC), leaf (LWC), and root (RWC) were significantly decreased during drought exposure; yet, able to fully recover at 7 days after drought treatment was terminated. Decrease in shoot root ratio (SRR) and leaf weight ratio (LWR); reversely, increase the root weight ratio (RWR) under drought condition, was not associated with enhancement of root growth. Rather, it was due to less negatively effect of drought on roots than on the above-ground organs. Simultaneously, chlorophyll fluorescence, LWC, stomatal conductance, transpiration and photosynthetic rates declined during drought exposure. However, 7 days after drought treatment was terminated, all traits were able to return to pre-drought levels. Among chili pepper varieties studied, Genie exhibited better overall performance than Laris and Romario did under drought stress condition.

This study aims to show and explain how the picture of fraud can occur in the government sector, especially in the village government sector in Sidoarjo sub-district. This study uses data collection techniques in the form of primary data by distributing questionnaires. The research analysis method used is descriptive statistics, data quality test, classic assumption test and hypothesis testing consisting of multiple linear regression methods, f test, t test, and coefficient of determination. The results of this study indicate that there is a significant negative effect between the suitability of compensation, internal control systems and organizational culture for fraud. Soil drought occurrence during dry season has been the main constraint, besides prolonged flooding during rainy season, in increasing cropping intensity and rice productivity in tropical riparian wetland. Use of drought tolerant rice genotype might be a suitable option for overcoming such problem. This study focused on the effects of gradual soil drying during early vegetative growth stage on morphological and physiological traits of five Oryza glaberrima genotypes, namely RAM12, RAM14, RAM59, RAM97 and RAM101, and two Oryza sativa subsp japonica genotypes, i.e. Koshihikari and Minamihatamochi. The plants were subjected to 6 d of gradual soil drying condition from 15 days after transplanting (DAT) to 20 DAT, and were allowed to recover until 22 DAT. Gradual soil drying reduced plant growth as indicated by dry mass accumulation. Drought reduced stomatal conductance and increased leaf rolling score of all the genotypes. All the genotypes showed comparable response on stomatal conductance, but O. glaberrima genotypes performed higher in leaf rolling recovery. Meanwhile, O. sativa genotypes decreased total leaf area and specific leaf area, but increased specific leaf weight in order to avoid further damages due to drought stress. Drought tolerance mechanisms in RAM101, RAM12, RAM59 and RAM14 were associated with leaf morpho-physiological responses, root traits and dry biomass accumulation. Productivity and cropping intensity on non-tidal wetland in South Sumatra are considerably low and has been underutilized up to now. The majority of farmers in this ecosystem are smallholders with limited adoption capacity on introduced technologies and modern agricultural practices. The objectives of this research were (1) to comprehensively capture multidimensional constrains that restrained local farmers in increasing their agricultural productivity; and (2) to identify, assess, and develop substantially-relevant, financially-affordable, and socially-acceptable agricultural technologies and practices for smallholder farmers to increase productivity. This research was organized in three main activities: qualitative research employing Grounded Theory procedure, quantitative questionnaire-guided survey, and a series of laboratory and field experiments. The research results indicated that the main constraints in increasing productivity and cropping intensity on the non-tidal wetland in South Sumatra include (1) unpredictable flooding occurrence and low soil nutrients content (agronomic constraint), (2) low financial and technology adoption capacity of local farmers (economic constraint), and (3) public policy has not significantly escalated farmer’s motivation to increase food production (social and institutional constraint). This research suggests that multidimensional (technical, financial, ecological, and socio-cultural) approaches should be integrated in collective efforts for sustainably intensifying food production on the non-tidal wetland.

Keberhasilan pemerintah dalam Pembangunan Nasional, bisa dikatakan berhasil dibuktikan dengan adanya peningkatan umur harapan hidup, yang berarti bertambah pula populasi lanjut usia. Peningkatan kesehatan pada lansia yang salah satunya dapat dilakukan dengan olahraga atau senam secara teratur, tetapi pada kenyataanya masih banyak lansia yang tidak mengikuti senam lansia. Tujuan dalam penelitian ini adalah Mengetahui faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi keikutrsertaan senam lansia di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Titeue. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah analitik dengan pendekatan cross – sectional. Penelitian dilaksanakan di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Titue. Sample penalitian ini sebanyak 107 orang. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji regresi logistik berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh umur (p=0,007), fisik (p=0,000) dan motivasi (p=0,019) terhadap keikutsertaan senam lansia di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Titue. Diharapkan kepada Puskesmas t Titeue diharapkan dapat lebih mengoptimalkan pelayanan kesehatan lansia terutama senam lansia dengan memberikan motivasi-motivasi yang melibatkan teman sebaya lansia.

Sebagai daerah rawan bencana, pemerintah mempunyai kewajiban dan tanggung jawab dalam mengantisipasi terjadinya bencana sebelum atau setelah terjadinya bencana yakni mitigasi bencana, tanggap darurat dan rehabilitasi rekonstruksi. Dari ketiga tahapan periode tersebut mitigasi diartikan sebagai upaya untuk meminimalkan dampak yang ditimbulkan oleh bencana. Kedua periode tanggap darurat diartikan sebagai kecepatan dalam pemberian bantuan saat terjadi bencana di suatu wilayah. Tujuan Penelitian: Untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang berhubungan dengan implementasi kebijakan mitigasi bencana gempa bumi Di Kecamatan Bandar Baru Kabupaten Pidie Jaya 2017. Metodologi Penelitian: bersifat Analitik dengan desain Cross Sectional. Populasi dalam penelitian adalah semua petugas kantor camat di Kecamatan Bandar Baru Kabupaten Pidie Jaya berjumlah 51 orang dengan teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan total sampling. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah regresi logistik berganda. Hasil Penelitian: yang diperoleh dari 51 responden adalah Sosialisasi yang ada mayoritas implementasi kebijakan mitigasi bencana gempa bumi ada yaitu sebanyak 31 responden (96,9%). Hasil uji multivariat didapatkan Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat pengaruh pemantauan dengan nilai p (0,000) dan pemetaan dengan nilai p (0,009) terhadap implementasi kebijakan mitigasi bencana gempa bumi Di Kecamatan Bandar Baru Kabupaten Pidie Jaya. Dimana Pemantauan memiliki pengaruh yang dominan dibandingkan dengan faktor pemetaan. Disarankan kepada petugas kantor camat agar meningkatkan implementasi kebijakan mitigasi bencana gempa bumi.
