The counters that change their transition using a clock signal are called synchronous counters. While designing a synchronous counter circuit, the power consumption and the delay are the major issues. Several synchronous counters were designed previously with the help of flip flops, but they did not provide good results. The existing synchronous counters increased power consumption and delay and decreased the speed. To overcome these issues, in this manuscript, a reversible synchronous counter is designed utilizing Multiple-Controlled Toffoli (MCT) and Multiple-Controlled Fredkin (MCF) reversible logic gates. Here, three JK flip-flop designs, such as JK1, JK2, and JK3 are designed for a reversible synchronous counter. Then JK1 and JK2 are structured by MCT. Whereas the JK3 flip-flop design is designed under MCF reversible logic gates. Coding is carried out Verilog, and then the proposed Reversible synchronous counter design (RSCD) is synthesized and implemented on FPGA using a Xilinx ISE 14.5 System generator. Here, performance metrics, such as delay, power, maximum counting rate, and total equivalent gate counts are examined. The efficiency of the proposed RSCD-MCT-MCF design attains gate counts of 23.45%, 28.94%, and 29.04% and is compared to the existing designs, such as Effective Designing of Reversible Synchronous Counters in Nanoscale (SCD-MTG), effective designing for reversible sequential circuits (SCD-3TG-4FG), designing of synchronous decimal counter utilizing reversible Toffoli–FredkinNetlist (SCD-TOF2). In a cognitive radio network (CRN), the performance of secondary users depends on the cochannel interference generated by the primary and the secondary transmitters. Therefore, the characterization of aggregate interference (AI) in such type of networks is of prime importance. The characterization of AI at the primary receiver due to multiple cognitive users has been reported in the literature, but the impact of this AI on the performance of secondary receivers has not been investigated. In this paper, the closed form expressions have been derived for the outage probability based on the complementary cumulative distribution function (CCDF) of the received signal to interference ratio (SIR) at secondary receiver. This analysis is carried out under the impact of AI generated by multiple secondary networks under Nakagami-m fading channel. The system model is designed based on stochastic geometry tools where the interfering nodes are assumed to be distributed as a homogeneous spatial Poisson point process (PPP). Further, the closed form expressions have been derived for the ergodic capacity of secondary networks for different parameters of the Nakagami-m fading channel. The results show that the outage probability and ergodic capacity depend upon not only the threshold level of the primary receivers but also a function of received SIR at the secondary receiver, network topology, and the parameters of Nakagami-m fading channels. In this paper an analysis of the performance of a novel six-port structure design has been carried out. This six-port architecture performs direct conversion of radio signal received from the transmitter and this is considered as a replacement component for the mixer in the RF front end receiver architecture. In this paper, the design of six-port structure has been carried out using micro strip lines of dielectric constant value as 2.32. The methodology adopted contains the use of hybrid couplers and phase shifter in designing the overall architecture of six-port junction. The six-port structure is designed using one power divider and three hybrid couplers. The scattering parameters at every port are obtained along with the VSWR ratio. These results reciprocate the variation of this performance parameters with reference to frequency of operation, and this work has been carried out using ADS software. Motivated by the requirement to prepare for the next generation of "Automatic Spokesperson Recognition" (ASR) system, this paper applied the fused spectral features with hybrid machine learning (ML) strategy to the speech communication field. This strategy involved the combined spectral features such as mel-frequency cepstral coefficients (MFCCs), spectral kurtosis, spectral skewness, normalized pitch frequency (NPF), and formants. The characterization of suggested classification method could possibly serve in advanced speaker identification scenarios. Special attention was given to hybrid ML scheme capable of finding unknown speakers equipped with speaker id-detecting classifier technique, known as "Random Forest-Support Vector Machine" (RF-SVM). The extracted speaker precise spectral attributes are applied to the hybrid RF-SVM classifier to identify/verify the particular speaker. This work aims to construct an ensemble decision tree on a bounded area with minimal misclassification error using a hybrid ensemble RF-SVM strategy. A series of standard, real-time speaker databases, and noise conditions are functionally tested to validate its performance with other state-of-the-art mechanisms. The proposed fusion method succeeds in the speaker identification task with a high identification rate (97% avg) and lower equal error rate (EER) (<2%), compared with the individual schemes for the recorded experimental dataset. The robustness of the classifier is validated using the standard ELSDSR, TIMIT, and NIST audio datasets. Experiments on ELSDSR, TIMIT, and NIST datasets show that the hybrid classifier produces 98%, 99%, and 94% accuracy, and EERs were 2%, 1%, and 2% respectively. Headache in women in their late forties can be primary or secondary. We report a 48-year-old female with chronic slowly progressive left temporal headache for 1 year. She also had ipsilateral eye pain and facial numbness for 1 month, with restricted abduction in the left eye and diplopia. On neurological examination, she had isolated left abducent nerve palsy, with loss of corneal and conjunctival reflexes, localizing the pathology to the cavernous sinus or its adjacent structures. Anatomically, cranial nerves V and VI are in close proximity to each other in the region of Meckel's cave. In view of her age, insidious onset, progressive symptoms and clinical findings, the provisional diagnosis in this patient was a Meckel's cave tumor. Magnetic resonance (MR) imaging revealed a 2 cm × 2 cm × 1.7 cm enhancing dumb-bell-shaped mass lesion with mild restricted diffusion in the Meckel's cave projecting into cavernous sinus with alanine, myoinositol and glutamine peaks on MR spectroscopy. Intradural debulking was done; lesion was confirmed by histopathology and patient was cured of her symptoms. The present study validates the antidiabetic potential of Andrographis echioides leaf extract (AeLE) on high fat diet-fed diabetic C57BL/6J mice. The male C57BL/6J mouse (age 6-8 weeks) were divided into 2 groups (lean control group and diabetic group). The lean control group (6 animals) was fed with standard diet pellets. The diabetic group animals (24 animals) were made diabetic by feeding a high-fat diet for 12 weeks. This group was then further divided into 4 groups of 6 animals each and treated orally (for 28 days) with vehicle (0.5%carboxymethyl cellulose), metformin 100mg/kg body weight and 2 different concentrations of test drug viz., 100mg/kg and 200mg/kg body weight. The results show a significant reduction in blood glucose and other biochemical parameters. After 28 days, the metformin and AeLE (200 mg/kg b.w) treated animals had an average serum glucose value of 129.69±1.97 mg/dl and 109.6±3.92 mg/dl, respectively. Also, the liver markers were positively affected by AeLE. In conclusion, A. echioides leaf extract was found to reduce hyperglycemia and significantly improve the biochemical profile of the mice.

Ependymomas are common in intramedullary location and extradural location of the spinal cord is very rare. A few cases in the lumbosacral region have been reported. This report presents a cervical dumb-bell ependymoma with a small intraspinal extradural component and a large extraspinal component in the posterior triangle of the neck. The tumor was excised in two stages. This is probably the first such case report in the cervical region in the world literature. Possible histogenesis of ependymoma in this location is also discussed.
