We propose a simple theoretical calculation scheme based on the phenomenological Fourier heat-flow formalism to study thermal transport behaviors in nanoscale copper rods. The axial heat transport is characterized by a new super-oscillatory feature along with small-amplitude heat spikes. It is anticipated that these atypical spikes are generated by accumulation of localized 'hotspots' that have low heat dissipation characteristics. In the case of radial transport, we witness the existence of three distinct heat regimes owing to buildup of hot electrons after experiencing ballistic scattering events. It is important to note that, even though the nanorod diameter is comparable to or smaller than the electron mean free path length, [λ.sub.mfp] ~ 30 nm; multiple ballistic electronic scattering from the outer surface of the nanorods and subsequent accrual into several layers through secondary collisional events has led to concentric heat zones. The hotspots disappear when the nanorod diameter exceeds [λ.sub.mfp]. Key words: nanorod, metallic system, thermal transport, hotspot. Nous proposons un schema de calcul theorique base sur le formalisme de transfert de chaleur de Fourier, afin d'etudier le comportement du transport dans des nano-tiges de cuivre. Le transport axial est caracterise par une nouvelle super- oscillation avec de petits pics de chaleur de faible amplitude. Nous pensons que ces pics atypiques sont generes par l'accumulation locale de points chauds caracterises par une faible dissipation thermique. A linear stability analysis of a simple polytropic model for the solar wind dynamics within the framework of a magnetohydrodynamic equilibrium configuration is theoretically proposed. The simplistic analysis is based on the model developed based on the data available from the Advanced Composition Explorer (ACE) spacecraft mission. A unique form of dispersion relation is derived by coupling the adiabatic and polytropic processes in the limit of ideal gas approximation for the solar wind gas in accordance with the standard Fourier technique. Applying usual variable-separation methodology on the dispersion relation, we obtain the linear growth rate of the fluctuations. It is seen that the growth rate is an explicitly nonlinear function of the variable polytropic index (a) and radial position (r) with respect to the considered center of the Sun. Numerical analyses are carried out to understand the physical insight of the growth profiles of the fluctuations. It is shown that the growth is maximized near the solar corona, where a ~ 1, relative to that observed elsewhere in the entire solar plasma system. The source for this growth may be attributed to the free flow of energy coming from the dynamic equilibrium of the solar plasma itself. As compared with existing model predictions, our results are qualitatively capable of reproducing the average behavior of the solar wind fluctuation and stability behaviors on the astrophysical scales of space and time. Nous presentons une analyse theorique de stabilite lineaire d'un modele polytropique simple de la dynamique du vent solaire dans le cadre de la magnetohydrodynamique en equilibre. Cette analyse tres simple est basee sur le modele developpe a partir des donnees disponibles de la mission spatiale Advanced Composition Explorer (ACE). Suivant la technique standard de Fourier, nous obtenons une relation de dispersion unique en couplant les processus adiabatiques et polytropiques dans la limite ou le vent solaire est un gaz parfait. Appliquant la methode de separation des variables a la relation de dispersion, nous trouvons le taux de croissance lineaire des fluctuations. Nous voyons que le taux de croissance est une fonction non lineaire explicite de l'indice polytropique (a) et de la position radiale (r) par rapport au centre du Soleil. Nous completons une analyse numerique pour comprendre le contenu physique des profils de croissance des fluctuations. Nous montrons que la croissance est maximale pres du corona solaire, ou α~1, relativement a ce qui est observe ailleurs dans tout le systeme du plasma solaire. La source de cette croissance peut etre attribuee au flot libre d'energie cause par l'equilibre dynamique du plasma solaire lui-meme. Compares a des modeles existants, nos resultats sont qualitativement capables de reproduire le comportement en moyenne de la fluctuation du vent solaire et des stabilites sur des echelles astrophysiques d'espace et de temps. The Debye shielding (DS) process is studied in diverse planar plasma configurations depending on the inertial response of the plasma species within the framework of the nonlinear electrostatic Poisson formalism. It is centered on a mathematical technique specifically developed without using any conventional linearization assumption. Analytical, graphical, and numerical methodologies are adopted to characterize the DS scales, screened potentials, and associated densities without any conventional approximation in different situations. The inertial effects of the plasma constituents on the shielding processes are specifically discussed on a comparative footing. Relevant results and future directions of interdisciplinary significance relative to the realistic mean spherical approximation are highlighted. PACS Nos.: 52.20.-j, 52.25.-b, 52.40.Kh.
