The composition of commodities that are produced by a country is a key factor for its environmental performance. High economic complexity implies the transition from a lowly productive agricultural economy to highly productive sectors and the production of more sophisticated commodities. This transition needs an increased level of energy consumption, which in turn entails an increased level of CO2 emission and environmental degradation. The present research aims to explore the effect of economic complexity on CO2 emission in some Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) member countries using the GMM method. According to the results, CO2 emission in these countries is affected by the variables of economic complexity, industry, human capital, and population growth rate negatively and significantly and by the variable of energy consumption positively and significantly. Also, the variables of trade openness and economic growth rate have negative but insignificant effects on CO2 emission in these countries. The employment of the youth is among the most critical problems in macroeconomic planning and a serious concern for politicians. This research aims to determine the factors underpinning self-employment barriers of the youth in rural areas of Saravan. For this purpose, data on 200 rural youths were collected by using a self-made questionnaire and were subjected to exploratory factor analysis. Based on the findings, the main impediments of self-employment among the rural youth in the study site included economic-educational, infrastructural, personality, and support factors whereas economic-educational and infrastructural factors were the most significant factors. The adoption of the Internet in the banking industry on the one hand is closely related to a change in the structure of the organization and nature of operations in banking industry itself, and on the other hand, to the emergence of computer as a significant organizational tool. Banks have always been starving to introduce new technologies to reduce operational costs and expand their businesses. This study is an attempt to investigate the contribution of Internet banking on the performance of the banking system in India. Return on Assets (ROA) and Return on Equity (ROE) ratios are used to test this effect. Trade is the principal channel through which the flow of ideas, knowledge and technology will take place. But it is not clear to what extent the recipient country can take advantage of these variables. Adoption, imitation and production process, by and large, depend on human capital in the recipient country, and also on how the different components of human capital (e.g. on-the-job-training versus academic training) are distributed. This paper uses Ordinary Least Square to investigate relationship between trade, human capital and economic growth. The empirical result shows that there is a significant relationship between trade, human capital and economic growth. The study shows that any progress in human capital will positively affect economic growth. In turn, higher economic growth will lead to more employment, higher income and profit, which means more investment in human capital. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
