Abstract

Studies have shown that most of the mass concentrations of toxic substances measured in urban areas are composed of rubber dust and brake particles from motor vehicles. Abstract

In this article, details of the brake mechanism and the method of determining the concentration of metals in the particles formed from the wear of tires as a result of the movement of cars, as well as a comparative analysis of road dust formed on asphalt-concrete roads of different composition are covered. In cities’ traffic-related sources are a substantial source of particulate pollution. The following categories of traffic-related particles exist: brake mechanism details, formed as a result of tire wear and wear to the road surface, accumulate due to turbulence caused by traffic, and exhaust particles released as a result of incomplete combustion of fuel and volatilization of lubricants during combustion. The method of determining the metal concentration in the formed particles, data on the physical and chemical properties of the particles are presented. Information is given on the negative impact on human health of the particles formed as a result of wear of the details of the car brake mechanism.

Abstract

This article examines the composition of particles emitted into the environment as a result of brake lining degradation during the braking of specialized cars. The amount of particles emitted into the environment has been theoretically studied, taking into account that the resource duration of brake linings on specialized vehicles varies based on the adhesion coefficient of wheel contact with the road. The distribution of metal concentrations in particles created by the brake linings wear during the braking of specialized vehicles is extensively studied. Traffic-related sources contribute significantly to particulate matter in cities. It was discovered that the samples collected during the braking of specialized vehicles contain high levels of metal elements such as iron, copper, zinc, chromium, tin and antimony. Currently, there is information about the negative impact of the particles formed during braking of cars on the environment.

Contains fulltext : 232521.pdf (Publisher’s version ) (Open Access), In 2004, Germany introduced a program based on voluntary contracting to strengthen the role of general practice care in the healthcare system. Key components include structured management of chronic diseases, coordinated access to secondary care, data-driven quality improvement, computerized clinical decision-support, and capitation-based reimbursement. Our aim was to determine the long-term effects of this program on the risk of hospitalization of specific categories of high-risk patients. Based on insurance claims data, we conducted a longitudinal observational study from 2011 to 2018 in Baden-Wuerttemberg, Germany. Patients were assigned to one or more of four open cohorts (in 2011, elderly, n = 575,363; diabetes mellitus, n = 163,709; chronic heart failure, n = 82,513; coronary heart disease, n = 125,758). Adjusted for key patient characteristics, logistic regression models were used to compare the hospitalization risk of the enrolled patients (intervention group) with patients receiving usual primary care (control group). At the start of the study and throughout long-term follow-up, enrolled patients in the four cohorts had a lower risk of all-cause hospitalization and ambulatory, care-sensitive hospitalization. Among patients with chronic heart failure and coronary heart disease, the program was associated with significantly reduced risk of cardiovascular-related hospitalizations across the eight observed years. The effect of the program also increased over time. Over the longer term, the results indicate that strengthening primary care could be associated with a substantial reduction in hospital utilization among high-risk patients.

Объектом исследования в статье является феномен трансформации жанров журналистики под влиянием интернета, предметом — специфика применения жанра заметки в деловых СМИ в интернете, ее трансформация и особенности визуального оформления в интернет-СМИ. Для исследования выбраны методы анализа, контент-анализа, сравнения и сопоставления. Анализ материалов изданий «Коммерсант» и «Ведомости» показал, что возможности интернета привели к появлению новой жанровой формы в деловых СМИ, основанной на жанре заметки, изменили потенциал визуального оформления материалов, а также способы коммерциализации журналистского труда. The object of the research in the article is the phenomenon of the transformation of journalism genres under the influence of the Internet, the subject — is the specifics of using the genre of an article piece in business media on the Internet, its transformation and the features of visual design in online media. The methods selected for this research are: analysis, content analysis and comparison. An analysis of the materials of the “Kommersant” and “Vedomosti” publications showed that the possibilities of the Internet have led to the emergence of a new genre form in the business media based on the genre of an article piece, and have changed the potential for visual presentation of materials, as well as ways to commercialize journalistic work.

Contains fulltext : 225876.pdf (Publisher’s version ) (Open Access) Since 2010, an intensified ambulatory cardiology care programme has been implemented in southern Germany. To improve patient management, the structure of cardiac disease management was improved, guideline-recommended care was supported, new ambulatory medical services and a morbidity-adapted reimbursement system were set up. Our aim was to determine the effects of this programme on the mortality and hospitalisation of enrolled patients with cardiac disorders. We conducted a comparative observational study in 2015 and 2016, based on insurance claims data. Overall, 13,404 enrolled patients with chronic heart failure (CHF) and 19,537 with coronary artery disease (CAD) were compared, respectively, to 8,776 and 16,696 patients that were receiving usual ambulatory cardiology care. Compared to the control group, patients enrolled in the programme had lower mortality (Hazard Ratio: 0.84; 95% CI: 0.77-0.91) and fewer all-cause hospitalisations (Rate Ratio: 0.94; 95% CI: 0.90-0.97). CHF-related hospitalisations in patients with CHF were also reduced (Rate Ratio: 0.76; 95% CI: 0.69-0.84). CAD patients showed a similar reduction in mortality rates (Hazard Ratio: 0.81; 95% CI: 0.76-0.88) and all-cause hospitalisation (Rate Ratio: 0.94; 95% CI: 0.91-0.97), but there was no effect on CAD-related hospitalisation. We conclude that intensified ambulatory care reduced mortality and hospitalisation in cardiology patients.
