Abstract

Purpose: Due to the current pandemic, the importance of logistics functions and decisions is well understood both at the level of companies and users. Logistics systems and related decisions are of vital importance in making supply chains effective, efficient and without disruption. Logistic pressure factors may emerge at different points along the logistics process, and given the role of logistics decisions as one of the important indicators of competitiveness, the determination of the logistics pressures that are likely to increase the costs of business, and their causative factors are a vital aspect of the logistics decision-making process. The study aims to provide assistance in the selection of the most ideal logistics decision by ranking the pressure factors affecting the logistics system, especially during the pandemic period for logistics enterprises operating in Ordu and Giresun provinces and which have a corporate identity. Design/methodology/approach: In this study, it is aimed to make the most ideal logistics decision selection by ranking the pressure factors affecting the logistics system, especially during the pandemic period for the logistics enterprises operating in Ordu and Giresun provinces and having a corporate identity. For that purpose interval-valued Pythagorean fuzzy (IVPF)–analytic hierarchy process (AHP) based combinative distance-based assessment (CODAS) methodology was used. Additionally sensitivity and comparison analysis were discussed. Findings: Competitive pressure was found as the most important pressure factor affecting the logistics system during the pandemic period. Change in regulatory rules was the pressure factor found to have the least effect on the logistics system. Using the weights of logistics pressure factors, "Operational Decisions" was found to be the most ideal logistics decision selection. Research limitations/implications: The findings provide support for the evaluation of logistical pressures and decision options by presenting a decision model capable of processing ambiguous information. During a pandemic or similar period, the study assists decision makers in determining a new route. The findings will also call business managers' attention to logistical pressure factors and lead them toward more realistic and feasible practices in the logistics decision-making process. Originality/value: This study provided an effective and applicable solution to a decision-making problem in the logistics sector including logistics pressure factors and the selection of logistics decisions. Abstract

Global climate change continues to have a negative impact on many sectors, particularly supply chains and logistics. Companies are progressively incorporating environmentally friendly practices into their strategies to tackle this global problem. Accordingly, the increase in environmental, social, and governance (ESG) risks has increased the importance of sustainable corporate governance. As a result, companies tend to place more emphasis on ESG initiatives. The study aims to analyze the importance levels of ESG criteria and to select the most ideal environmentally sensitive competitive strategy for multinational logistics companies. For this purpose, a set of criteria and alternatives for the businesses in the context of the related problem was defined, and a decision model was proposed to handle problems, which include uncertain information. In this context, q‐rung orthopair fuzzy (q‐ROF) weighted average technique was used for weighting the criteria and q‐ROF‐evaluation based on distance from average solution (q‐ROF‐EDAS) method was utilized for prioritizing the strategies. As a result, "greenhouse gas emissions" was identified as the most important criterion, while "eco‐efficiency" was selected as the best option for environmentally conscious competitive strategies. Abstract

Purpose: Pharmaceutical supply chains (PSCs) need a well-operating and faultless logistics system to successfully store and distribute their medicines. Hospitals, health institutes, and pharmacies must maintain extra stock to respond requirements of the patients. Nevertheless, there is an inverse correlation between the level of medicine stock and logistics service level. The high stock level held by health institutions indicates that we have not sufficiently excellent logistics systems presently. As such, selecting appropriate logistics service providers (drug distributors) is crucial and strategic for PSCs. However, this is difficult for decision-makers, as highly complex situations and conflicting criteria influence such evaluation processes. So, a robust, applicable, and strong methodological frame is required to solve these decision-making problems. Design/methodology/approach: To achieve this challenging issue, the authors develop and apply an integrated entropy-WASPAS methodology with Fermatean fuzzy sets for the first time in the literature. The evaluation process takes place in two stages, as in traditional multi-criteria problems. In the first stage, the importance levels of the criteria are determined by the FF-entropy method. Afterwards, the FF-WASPAS approach ranks the alternatives. Findings: The feasibility of the proposed model is also supported by a case study where six companies are evaluated comprehensively regarding ten criteria. Herewith, total warehouse capacity, number of refrigerated vehicles, and personnel are the top three criteria that significantly influence the evaluation of pharmaceutical distribution and warehousing companies. Further, a comprehensive sensitivity analysis proves the robustness and effectiveness of the proposed approach. Practical implications: The proposed multi-attribute decision model quantitatively aids managers in selecting logistics service providers considering imprecisions in the multi-criteria decision-making process. Originality/value: A new model has been developed to present a sound mathematical model for selecting logistics service providers consisting of Fermatean fuzzy entropy and WASPAS methods. Abstract

Purpose: The present study aims to provide a practical and robust assessment technique for assessing countries' investability in global supply chains to practitioners. Thus, the proposed approach can help decision-makers evaluate and select appropriate countries in the expansion process of the global supply chains and reduce risks concerning country (market) selection. Design/methodology/approach: The present study proposes a novel decision-making approach, namely the REF-Sort technique. The proposed approach has many valuable contributions to the literature. First, it has an efficient basic algorithm and can be applied to solve highly complicated decision-making problems without requiring advanced mathematical knowledge. Besides, some characteristics differentiate REF-Sort apart from other techniques. REF-Sort employs the value or value range that reflects the most typical characteristic of the relevant class in assignment processes. The reference values in REF-Sort and center profiles are similar in this regard. On the other hand, class references can be defined as ranges in REF-Sort. Secondary values, called successors, can also be employed to assign a value to the appropriate class. REF-Sort can also determine the reference and successor values/ranges independently of the decision matrix. In addition, the proposed model is a maximally stable and consistent decision-making tool, as it is resistant to the rank reversal problem. Findings: The current papers' findings indicate that countries have different features concerning investment. Hence, the current paper pointed out that only 22% of the 95 countries are investable, whereas 19% are risky. Thus, decision-makers should make detailed evaluations using robust, powerful, and practical decision-making tools to make more reasonable and logical decisions concerning country selection. Originality/value: The current paper proposes a novel decision-making approach to evaluate. Abstract

Döngüsel ekonomi, çevresel etkileri azaltan ve ürünlerin etkin bir şekilde geri dönüştürülmesini sağlayan bir sürdürülebilirlik modelidir. Bu bakımdan giyim sektörü, döngüsel ekonomi sisteminde en yüksek çevresel etkiyi bünyesinde barındıran sektörlerden biridir. Bu çalışmada, SWARA ve BWM yöntemleriyle giyim sektöründe döngüsel ekonominin yürütücüleri ve güçlükleri analiz edilmiştir. Sonuçlar, SWARA ve BWM metotlarının oldukça benzer olduğunu ve karar vericiler tarafından kullanılabileceğini göstermektedir. Her iki yöntemde de döngüsel ekonominin en önemli yürütücüsü olarak "kaynakların korunmasından elde edilen maliyet tasarrufu", güçlüğü olarak ise "eğitim ve bilgi eksikliği" yer almıştır. Türkiye'de giyim sektöründe döngüsel ekonomi yaklaşımının kurumsallaşması açısından farkındalık ve meşruiyet eksikliğini gösteren bu çalışma, diğer gelişmekte olan ve geçiş ekonomilerinin vizyonlarını ve işleyişlerini iyileştirmelerinde faydalı olacağı düşünülmektedir., The circular economy is a sustainability model that reduces environmental impacts and enables products to be recycled effectively. In this respect, the clothing sector is one of the sectors that has the highest environmental impact in the circular economy system. In this study, drivers and challenges of circular economy in clothing sector were analyzed with SWARA and BWM methods. The results show that the SWARA and BWM methods are quite similar and can be used by decision makers. In both methods, " Cost savings from conservation in resources" as the driver of the circular economy and "lack of training and knowledge" as a challenge took the first row. This study shows the lack of awareness and legitimacy for the institutionalization of the circular economy approach in the clothing industry in Turkey, will be useful in other developing and transition economies and improve the functioning of vision is considered.

Abstract

Önceden bilinmeyen, tahminedilemeyen zaman aralığında meydana gelen insan trafiğine açık yol, cadde yadasokakta meydana gelmiş veya kaynaklanmış bir yada birden çok kişininölümü/yaralanması ile veyahut maddi hasarla sonuçlanan, hareket halinde en azbir aracın olduğu olaylar olarak tanımlanan trafik kazaları nüfus artışı veekonomik gelişmeler sonucunda araç sayısı ve trafik yoğunluğunun artması ileson yıllarda önem arz etmeye başlamıştır. Toplumsal yapıda da bozulmalara yolaçan trafik kazaları dünyadaki ölüm oranları arasında üst sıralarda yeralmaktadır. Gelişmekte olan ülkelerden biri olan Türkiye ise trafik kazasayısı, kaza ölümleri ve yaralanmaları açısından dünyada yüksek orana sahipülkeler arasında yer almaktadır. Bayram tatil dönemleri trafik kazalarıyoğunluğunun yüksek düzeyde artış gösterdiği zamanlar olmaktadır. Bu nedenleönceki yıllarda bayram tatil dönemlerinde gerçekleşmiş olan kazaların ortaközelliklerinin, gerçekleştiği yer ve zamanların incelenmesi alınabilecek olanönlemler için belirleyici olmaktadır. Дорожно-транспортныепроисшествия, которые вызывают нарушение социальной структуры, являются однимииз самых высоких в мире. Турция является одним из числа дорожно-транспортныхпроисшествий в развивающихся странах, с точки зрения смертности несчастныхслучаев и травматизма среди стран с самыми высокими темпами в мире. Бывают случаи, когдаинтенсивность дорожно-транспортных происшествий увеличивается на высокихуровнях. Поэтой причине, определение общих характеристик несчастных случаев, которыепроизошли во время праздничных каникул в предыдущие годы, а также время и местоих возникновения, являются определяющими для мер, которые могут быть приняты.Этоисследование лет 2009-2011 интервал во время каникул интеллектуального анализаданных дорожной полиции произошли в дорожно-транспортных происшествий врайонах, находящихся под ответственностью Турции рассматривается с правиламиассоциации, один из методов были получены правила, показывающие общие чертыэтих аварий.

Abstract

Dengeli Puan Kartının arka planında yeralan felsefe bir işletmenin tüm yönetişim seviyelerinde finansal olan ölçütlerinyanında finansal olmayan ölçütlerin yönetim bilgi sisteminin veri kaynaklarıhaline getilmesi zorunluluğudur. Dengeli Puan Kartı günümüzde işletmelerigiderek daha fazla zorlayan yoğun rekabet ortamında stratejik yönetimdekarşılaşılaşılan başarısızlıklardan ve bilgi çağının gerisinde kalan gelenekselperformans yönetim sistemlerinin yetersizliklerinden kaynaklanan problemlereçözüm önerileri getirir. Bu çalışmada, BIST'te işlem gören 12 perakendefirmasının performansı, dengeli puan kartı (BSC)’nın 4 ana perspektifiaçısından (finansal, müşteri, iç iş süreci, öğrenme ve büyüme perspektifleri)ölçülmektedir. Pythagorean bulanık kümelerinin (PFS) tutarsız ve belirsizortamdaki uzman yargılarını daha iyi temsil ettiği düşünülmektedir. Sonrasındakarar vericilerin risk altındaki psikolojik davranışlarını analiz etmedekullanılan TODIM yöntemi, firmaları sıralamak için kullanılmıştır. Aralıkdeğerli Pythagorean bulanık AHP uygulandıktan sonra en önemli alt kriterekonomik sadakat olarak bulunurken en düşük öneme sahip alt kriterin yönetimekatılım olduğu saptanmıştır. Son olarak, karar vericilere göre Firma F’nindengeli puan kartı performans kriterleri çerçevesinde en başarılı firma olduğubelirlenmiştir., The philosophy behind the Balanced Scorecard is the necessity for an operator to transform non-financial criteria into data sources for the management information system, as well as financial criteria for all governance levels. The Balanced Scorecard introduces solutions to the problems that arise from the failures encountered in strategic management and the inadequacy of traditional performance management systems that lag behind the information age in today's intensely competitive environment, which is pushing businesses more and more. In this study, the performance of 12 retailer firms listed in BIST are measured under the balanced scorecard (BSC) perspective by handling 4 main criteria (financial, customer, internal business process and learning & growth perspectives). Pythagorean fuzzy sets (PFS) are considered in order to better represent experts judgments under inconsistent and indeterminate environment. Following that TODIM methodology, that analyzes decision makers’ psychological behaviors under risk, is used to rank the firms. While economic loyalty sub-criterion was found as the most important one, participation in management was acquired as the least important one after applying interval-valued Pythagorean fuzzy AHP. Finally, Firm F was ranked as the most successful firm according to decision makers under balanced scorecard performance criteria.

Abstract

Electivecourses play an essential role in the process of improving students’ skills andalso help with identifying their interests, talents and potentials for a givenfield or vocation. Therefore the relationships between course selection criteriahave been considered crucial in the decision making process. In this study, theaim has been to determine what constitutes the course selection criteria forstudents in Eskişehir Vocatonal School. Given this aim, a survey was designedand applied to 50 student respondents from different departments (marketing,hospitality management, secretary and office management, foreign trade,culinary arts, real estate and property management) current at EskişehirVocational School. Criteria, which are defined within the literature reviewundertaken, are ranked according to importance level via the fuzzy DEMATEL (TheDecision Making Trial and Evaluation Laboratory) method. In addition, a generalreview of criteria has also been considered but as part of a cause and effectprocess, by using a causal diagram.
