In this article, a posteriori error analysis for mixed finite element Galerkin approximations of second order linear hyperbolic equations is discussed. Based on mixed elliptic reconstructions and an integration tool, which is a variation of Baker's technique introduced earlier by G. Baker (SIAM J. Numer. Anal., 13 (1976), 564-576) in the context of a priori estimates for a second order wave equation, a posteriori error estimates of the displacement in L-infinity (L-2)-norm for the semidiscrete scheme are derived. Finally, a first order implicit-in-time discrete scheme is analyzed and a posteriori error estimators are established.

ANGIOKERATOMA corporis diffusum , *PROGNOSIS , *DIAGNOSIS , *LYSOSOMAL storage diseases , *SKIN diseases - Abstract
Dear Editor, Fabry disease (FD) is an X-linked lysosomal disorder leading to accumulation of glycosphingolipids.[1] Its severity results from FD vasculopathy in the form of early ischaemic stroke, cardiomyopathy and renal failure. Recognizing skin manifestations is essential in FD, as they usually precede organ involvement, allowing earlier diagnosis and treatment, and are determinant for the prognosis. Este artículo contiene 18 páginas, 4 figuras., Good datasets of geo-referenced records of alien species are a prerequisite for assessing the spatio-temporal dynamics of biological invasions, their invasive potential, and the magnitude of their impacts. However, with the exception of first records on a country level or wider regions, observations of species presence tend to remain unpublished, buried in scattered repositories or in the personal databases of experts. Through an initiative to collect, harmonize and make such unpublished data for marine alien and cryptogenic species in the Mediterranean Sea available, a large dataset comprising 5376 records was created. It includes records of 239 alien or cryptogenic taxa (192 Animalia, 24 Plantae, 23 Chromista) from 19 countries surrounding the Mediterranean Sea. In terms of records, the most reported Phyla in descending order were Chordata, Mollusca, Chlorophyta, Arthropoda, and Rhodophyta. The most recorded species was Caulerpa cylindracea, followed by Siganus luridus, Magallana sp. (cf. gigas or angulata) and Pterois miles. The dataset includes records from 1972 to 2020, with the highest number of records observed in 2018. Among the records of the dataset, Dictyota acutiloba is a first record for the Mediterranean Sea. Nine first country records are also included: the alga Caulerpa taxifolia var. distichophylla, the cube boxfish Ostracion cubicus, and the cleaner shrimp Urocaridella pulchella from Israel; the sponge Paraleucilla magna from Libya and Slovenia; the lumpfish Cyclopterus lumpus from Cyprus; the bryozoan Celleporaria vermiformis and the polychaetes Prionospio depauperata and Notomastus aberans from Malta., The publication of this article is supported by the Open Access Publishing Fund of the International Association for Open Knowledge on Invasive Alien Species (INVASIVESNET; www.invasivesnet.org). The loggerhead turtle, Caretta caretta, is a highly migratory species with a complex life cycle that involves a series of ontogenetic habitat shifts and migrations. Understanding the links amongst nesting populations and foraging habitats is essential for the effective management of the species. Here we used mixed stock analysis to examine the natal origin of loggerhead turtles foraging on the North African continental shelf off Tunisia, one of the most important Mediterranean neritic habitats. An 815-bp fragment of the mitochondrial DNA control region was sequenced from 107 individuals sampled from 2007 to 2009. No temporal variation in haplotype frequencies was detected. Juveniles (n = 87) and adults (n = 23) exhibited weak but significant genetic differentiation that resulted in different stock compositions. Libya was the main source population but the proportion of turtles from this rookery was higher in adults (median = 80%) than in juveniles (median = 35%). Western Greece was the second most important contributing population. Juvenile stock composition derived from mixed stock analysis and the estimates produced by numerical simulation of hatchling dispersion in the Mediterranean Sea were significantly correlated, supporting the recent theory that loggerheads imprint on possible future neritic habitats during the initial phase of their life. This association was not significant for adults, suggesting that other factors contribute to shaping their distribution. Overall, our results show that human activities on the South Tunisian continental shelf pose an immediate threat to the survival of the Libyan rookery.

- Abstract
Excessive amounts of vasoactive intestinal polypeptide (VIP) cause a special clinical syndrome characterized by secretory diarrhea, hypokalemia and dehydration. A careful clinical workup of a 62-year-old female admitted for refractory diarrhea revealed a neglected inflammatory right breast ductal carcinoma with VIP hypersecretion without any localized abdominal tumor. Immunohistochemistry of the breast biopsy showed neuroendocrine characteristics with positive staining for VIP, and Octreotide scan showed hyperfixation to the right breast and axilla. Primary therapy of breast cancer with hormones and chemotherapy achieved transitory regression of diarrhea, VIP level decrease, and tumor border reduction. Bilateral modified radical mastectomy and irradiation of the tumor failed to prevent liver and bone dissemination of the disease. Once more, partial response was obtained by octreotide and salvage chemotherapy; however, the patient died from progressive disease 23 months after initial diagnosis. To our best knowledge, this unusual presentation of a breast carcinoma with related VIPoma syndrome is the first reported case in the literature.

- Abstract
Background: probiotic agents are increasingly used as over the counter drugs for the treatment of a variety of inflammatory and infectious conditions. The rationale of their use seems to restore a friendly bacterial flora in the gut. Complications of probiotic use, although rarely reported, can occur., Observation: we describe the case of a 54-year-old diabetic woman, who developed Lactobacillus rhamnosus septicemia while she was using probiotic oral treatment. Lactobacillus is a major component of probiotic agents. Her infection resolved after amoxicilline administration., Discussion: this case highlights the complication of probiotic use, and perhaps the patient's predispositions to develop such complications.
