A mixed-metal ternary chalcogenide, cobalt molybdenum telluride (CMT), has been identified as an efficient tri-functional electrocatalyst for seawater splitting, leading to enhanced oxygen evolution reaction (OER), hydrogen evolution reaction (HER), and oxygen reduction reaction (ORR). The CMT was synthesized by a single step hydrothermal technique. Detailed electrochemical studies of the CMT-modified electrodes showed that CMT has a promising performance for OER in the simulated seawater solutions, exhibiting a small overpotential of 385 mV at 20 mA cm−2, and superior catalyst durability for prolonged period of continuous oxygen evolution. Interestingly, while gas chromatography analysis confirmed the evolution of oxygen in an anodic chamber, it showed that there was no chlorine evolution from these electrodes in alkaline seawater, highlighting the novelty of this catalyst. CMT also displayed remarkable ORR activity in simulated seawater as indicated by its four-electron reduction pathway forming water as the dominant product. One of the primary challenges of seawater splitting is chlorine evolution from the oxidation of dissolved chloride salts. The CMT catalyst successfully and significantly lowers the water oxidation potential, thereby separating the chloride and water oxidation potentials by a larger margin. These results suggest that CMT can function as a highly active tri-functional electrocatalyst with significant stability, making it suitable for clean energy generation and environmental applications using seawater. Introduction: Chromhidrosis is a rare sweat gland disorder charac­terized by the excretion of colored sweat. It can be classified as apocrine, true eccrine, and pseudochromhidrosis. Amongst the different types of chromhidrosis, green chromhidrosis is extremely rare. We describe herein a case of blue green chromhidrosis induced by ingestion of homeopathic medicine. Case report: A middle aged man presented to us with blue green discoloration of hands and feet. There was a preceding history of ingestion of homeopathic medication. Histopathology from the involved skin showed greenish particles within eccrine glands. Initial blood copper level was high which returned to normal level after discontinuation of the homeopathic medicine. Spectrophotometry revealed high copper content of the green sweat.Conclusion: Our case emphasizes the importance of considering any type of ingested medicine, including homeopathic medicine, as a probable cause of chromhidrosis.

Introduction: PE is a pregnancy-related syndrome with Gestational hypertension and proteinuria. It is caused by improper maternal spiral artery remodelling leading to reduced perfusion to the placenta, promoting exaggerated inflammatory markers CRP, IL 6, TNF alpha, and oxidative stress (OS) tags (MDA) into circulation. Therefore, this study was planned to explore any association between telomere length, inflammatory markers, and oxidative stress markers with change in BP (increase every ten mmHg). To the best of our knowledge, it is the first study exploring this association in preeclamptic patients. Methods: A case-control study included PE cases (n=90) and controls (n=70). RT-PCR measured relative telomere length (RTL) as a T/S ratio. Serum levels of Malondialdehyde (MDA) and C-reactive protein (CRP) by using competitive ELISA and uric acid (UA) levels by autoanalyzer. Results: RTL is significantly(p=.000) reduced in PE compared to control. MDA, CRP, and Uric acid levels significantly(p=.000) increased in cases than in control. Telomere length decreased with the rise in BP, and CRP, MDA, and UA levels increased significantly with an increase in BP. Therefore, we planned to explore the association between telomere length, inflammation, and oxidative stress with every ten mmHg increase in BP. Conclusion: Increasing BP by ten mmHg led to shorter Telomere Length and increased MDA, CRP, and UA levels. To study the correlation between telomere length (TL) and long-acting injectable (LAI) and oral atypical antipsychotic (OAA) efficacy on schizophrenia (SCZ) severity and cognitive impairment. Sixty Schizophrenia patients of 18–50 years and of either sex were included in a 12-week study. Thirty patients were recruited in each group, LAI and OAA. Positive and Negative Syndrome Scale (PANSS) and National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro-Sciences (NIMHANS) neuropsychological battery tests were evaluated at baseline and 12 weeks. TL was estimated at baseline. Both groups showed a significant improvement in PANSS and NIMHANS battery test scores after treatment (p < 0.001) within the group, though not between the groups. Mean TL at baseline was 407.58 ± 143.93 and 443.40 ± 178.46 in LAI and OAA groups respectively. A significant negative correlation (r = −0.28, p = 0.03) of TL was seen with the mean change in negative PANSS score after treatment. LAI antipsychotics are similar to OAA in decreasing the disorder severity and improving the cognitive impairment in schizophrenia. Also, patients who have shorter TL show greater improvement in the negative PANSS score. Hence, TL holds the potential of predicting antipsychotic drug response in schizophrenia patients. Long-acting injectable antipsychotic was comparable to oral atypical antipsychotics in bringing out improvement in disorder severity, cognitive functions over 12 weeks.
