The paper considers options for reducing environmental losses in Polotsk and Novopolotsk through the development of trolleybus and tram systems – various types of urban electric transport. In order to reduce the costs of creating transport (including charging) infrastructure, as well as operating costs, the effectiveness of such systems has been determined when using not only classic types of transport, but also hybrid buses, electric buses, duo-buses. Approaches and methods have been developed to improve the quality of passenger service without deteriorating the environmental situation – this will become possible thanks to the development of tram and trolleybus traffic in Polotsk and Novopolotsk. Variants of scenarios for the use of various types of urban eclectic transport in the cities under study are presented, which will reduce investment in vehicles and the cost of creating an operational base at the expense of existing production facilities, for example, a tram fleet. The proposals outlined in the paper are aimed at improving the environmental situation in these cities by reducing the volume of emissions of harmful substances by buses, especially on the central streets

The article is devoted to an analysis of accidents involving pedestrians in traffic. An analysis of the statistical data of accidents involving pedestrians in the Republic of Belarus has been made. The main patterns and trends of accidents involving pedestrians are identified. A detailed analysis of the accident rate at pedestrian crossings and intersections was carried out, which made it possible to establish the most dangerous types of collisions during the interaction of transport and pedestrian flows. Experimental studies of collision situations were also carried out, which made it possible to establish the dependence of the violation rate on the composition of the right-handed traffic flow, on the type of traffic signal that regulates traffic on the right, as well as on the size of groups of pedestrians in front of cars.

The strategy for the development of the supply chain should ensure a high level of fault tolerance of all links when exposed to adverse factors. The article analyzes the impact on the stability of the supply chain of two types of influences: failure and disruption. The low stability of the supply chain appears in the stoppage of work in case of any disruptions and failures. With moderate stability, disruptions do not give up a significant impact on the operation of the supply chain, and failures lead to an increase in operating costs to maintain the stability of work processes. With a high level of stability, failures can cause disruptions in the operations of individual links. In case of disruptions, response models are applied based on the control of process parameters, the subsequent analysis of the causes of disruptions and the development of measures to restore the normal operation of the links in the supply chain. Effective disruption response involves the use of proactive response models. For this, it is necessary to ensure flexibility and transparency of processes in all links of the supply chain based on digital services for material flow control and mining of big data.

The current trend of increasing the total weight and speed of vehicles, tougher requirements for road safety requires constant improvement of their braking systems. In this regard, for the main tractors and a number of other machines with a large operating weight is relevant to the use of brakes–retarders. This allows to increase the average speed, reduce the thermal stress of the main (working) brake mechanisms and increase their durability, which increases the level of active safety of vehicles. This article presents the results of studies of working processes in hydrodynamic brakes of retarders, determined the dependence of their braking efficiency on the design features. The studies were conducted using finite element models.

The article presents the results of the study of traffic offenses by pedestrians on the unregulated crossings equipped with humps. The analysis of behavioral features of pedestrians is made taking into account traffic conditions and intensity of transport and pedestrian streams.
