Abstract

Markov chains arising from random iteration of functions $S_{\theta}:X\to X$, $\theta \in \Theta$, where $X$ is a Polish space and $\Theta$ is arbitrary set of indices are considerd. At $x\in X$, $\theta$ is sampled from distribution $\theta_x$ on $\Theta$ and $\theta_x$ are different for different $x$. Exponential convergence to a unique invariant measure is proved. Abstract

We formulate and prove a new criterion for stability of e-processes. It says that any e-process which is averagely bounded and concentrating is asymptotically stable. In the second part, we show how this general result applies to some shell models (the Goy and the Sabra model). Indeed, we manage to prove that the processes corresponding to these models satisfy the e-process property. They are also averagely bounded and concentrating. 16. Using the dynamic terrain model for real-time calculation of extraction volumes.

Abstract

Severoceske Doly a.s, in the Czech Republic, use KVASoftware's GNSS MineModel to calculate extraction volumes of their bucket wheel excavators. The software is based on the definition of surfaces as used by the quarry terrain digital model, which produces a triangular web by continuously monitoring the position of the bucket wheel excavators. All volume calculations and secondary calculations (mass, raw material qualitative properties, etc.) are based on two known 3D surfaces described, in geometry terms, by the digital model's triangular webs. A comparison between results acquired by a conventional surveying calculation based on photogrammetric data and between the GNSS MineModel application has shown minimum difference. 17. Electrochemical sensing platform based on screen-printed carbon electrode modified with plasma polymerized acrylonitrile nanofilms for determination of bupropion.

Abstract

A original electrochemical sensing platform, based on screen-printed electrodes modification with plasma polymerized acrylonitrile (pp-AN) nanofilms is proposed. For that purpose, plasma-enhanced chemical vapor deposition (PECVD) process was conducted in a parallel plate (13.56 MHz) plasma reactor for 2 min with discharge power of 10 W. The surface topography and electrochemical properties of prepared sensors were investigated by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy, energy dispersion spectroscopy, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy, and cyclic voltammetry. The electrochemical characteristics of pp-AN/SPCE and pp-AN/SPAuE sensors was investigated for model redox pair [Fe(CN) 6 ] 4-/3- . Conducted research confirmed the excellent chemical stability, durability, wide potential window, high signal-to-noise (S/N) ratio, and, most importantly, the ability to standardize the sensors. The pp-AN/SPCE sensor was applied to the determination of bupropion, an antidepressant drug whose intake has increased dramatically during the COVID-19 pandemic. The voltammetric response of pp-AN/SPCE for BUP was linear in two concentration ranges of 0.63-10.0 and 10.0-50.0 μmol L -1 , with a detection limit of 0.21 μmol L -1 . Satisfactory recoveries (96.2-102%) and good precision (RSD below 4.1%) obtained for environmental and biological samples confirmed the usefulness of the sensor for the analysis of various kinds of samples., (© 2023. 18. Anti-Mold Protection of Textile Surfaces with Cold Plasma Produced Biocidal Nanocoatings.

Abstract

The permanent anti-mold protection of textile surfaces, particularly those utilized in the manufacture of outdoor sporting goods, is still an issue that requires cutting-edge solutions. This study attempts to obtain antifungal nanocoatings on four selected fabrics used in the production of high-mountain clothing and sleeping bags, and on PET foil as a model substrate, employing the cold plasma technique for this purpose. Three plasma treatment procedures were used to obtain such nanocoatings: plasma-activated graft copolymerization of a biocidal precursor, deposition of a thin-film matrix by plasma-activated graft copolymerization and anchoring biocidal molecules therein, and plasma polymerization of a biocidal precursor. The precursors used represented three important groups of antifungal agents: phenols, amines, and anchored compounds. SEM microscopy and FTIR-ATR spectrometry were used to characterize the produced nanocoatings. For testing antifungal properties, four species of common mold fungi were selected: A. niger , A. fumigatus , A. tenuissima , and P. chrysogenum . It was found that the relatively best nanocoating, both in terms of plasma process performance, durability, and anti-mold activity, is plasma polymerized 2-allylphenol. The obtained results confirm our belief that cold plasma technology is a great tool for modifying the surface of textiles to provide them with antifungal properties. more...
