In the pursue for sustainability in process industry, digital twins necessitate the communication and storage of timeseries data about Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT). Regarding timeseries, this paper first presents a set of requirements specific to process industries. Then, it surveys how existing IIoT technologies meet the requirements. The technologies include the API specifications Asset Administration Shell (AAS), Digital Twin Definition Language (DTDL), NGSI-LD and Open Platform Communications Unified Architecture (OPC UA) as well as six commercial platforms. All the technologies leave significant gaps regarding the requirements, which means that tailor-made extensions are necessary., Comment: 6 pages, 1 figure, 1 table

3. Schools and the Principle of Non-Intrusion into the Private

- Abstract
In this article, I argue that parental privacy has often been given too much weight in theorising about justice at schools. Susan Okin famously stated that as the family serves as the children's 'first school of justice', it should also be internally just. However, she agreed with John Rawls on that interfering directly within the family life, even in the name of equality and justice, would risk causing injustice to those who do not share these liberal ideals. I ask in what sense this principle of non-intrusion into the private should be extended over the school institution. If the principles of public justice and private morality came into conflict in school education, which set of principles should be given priority? I pose Rawls' suggestion concerning children's schooling against his depiction of the family and claim that these two are normatively at odds with each other. Of the two, the latter seems paradoxically to allow for more extensive public regulation and therefore his view of the school must be modified accordingly. Moreover, I revisit one of Okin's main arguments that countering injustices requires active and explicated countermeasures where education plays a key role. Therefore, it is justified to prioritise principles of public morality, and teach related substantial values at schools, given that they accord with the demands of justice. Parental privacy applies to schools only in a limited sense.

5. Basic Education as a Collective Good: In Defence of the School as a Public Social Institution
- Author

- Abstract
In this paper, I argue that the more objectively desirable children's formal education is, the stronger are the moral reasons to conceptualise the school normatively as a public social institution. Social institutions are goods-producing teleological entities for which the good created provides a central framework for the normative evaluation of the institution. The intrinsic value of desirable human goods morally obliges both their collective availability and collective production that, on a large scale, is possible only via public social institutions. In contrast, private social institutions are disposed to produce goods whether instrumentally or exclusively, and thus, within private institutions, the production and distribution of the desirable goods is easily compromised for private purposes, such as for monetary profit, ideological gain or the internal coherence of a social group. Privatisation of desirable goods thus endangers their collective availability. Moreover, private social institutions are required to bring forth the aggregated interests of their members that might only have an arbitrary connection to desirable goods, whereas public institutions are morally and politically responsible to the general public to guarantee the collective availability of the goods that they produce. Therefore, if children's formal education is considered a desirable good, it is also a collective good that ought primally be publicly produced.

Most women do have symptoms prior to diagnosis, sometimes several months before the diagnosis. The aim of this study was to evaluate the timeline from the first presentation of symptoms to a physician until there is a reasonable suspicion of cancer, among women diagnosed with advanced stage ovarian cancer. We wanted to investigate which symptoms were the most common and whether there are other factors affecting the time interval before the suspicion of cancer was confirmed.Patients and Methods: This was a retrospective population-based cohort study of women diagnosed with advanced ovarian cancer between January 1, 2017 and December 31, 2019 who were referred to Skane University Hospital Lund, Sweden. Data were collected from electronic medical records at Skane University Hospital. The time interval was recorded as the time from first physician consultation with predefined symptoms to the date when there was a reasonable suspicion of ovarian cancer. Data processing and statistical analysis were performed with the statistical software R.Results: Among the 249 patients included in this study, the median time interval from the first consultation to the reasonable suspicion of cancer was 24 days. The first consultation in specialized care had a 70% decrease in delay compared to primary care. Emergency consultations had a 52.2% decrease in time delay compared to planned consultations. Older age was associated with an increase in the geometric mean by 54.7%, comparing the first to the third quartile. The most common symptom was abdominal pain. Conclusion: The length of time interval from first presentation with symptoms relating to ovarian cancer to reasonable suspicion of cancer was associated with whether the consultation was in primary or specialized care, emergency or planned visit and the patient’s age. Keywords: epithelial ovarian cancer, routes to diagnosis, cancer patient pathway, time to diagnosis

The aim of this study was to assess the adequacy, accuracy and safety of the tru-cut biopsy for diagnosis in gynecological cancer. Methods: A retrospective population-based review of 328 biopsies was conducted. The indications for tru-cut biopsies were diagnosis of primary tumors, metastases of gynecological and non-gynecological tumors, and suspected recurrences. A tissue sample was considered adequate when the quality/quality was sufficient to identify the subtype/origin of the tumor. Potential factors affecting adequacy were analyzed using logistic regressions analyses. Accuracy was defined as agreement between the diagnosis of the tru-cut biopsy and the postoperative histology. The therapy plan was registered, and the clinical applicability of the tru-cut biopsy was investigated. Complications within 30 days after the biopsy procedure were registered. Results: In total, 300 biopsies were identified as tru-cut biopsies. The overall adequacy was 86.3%, varying between 80.8% and 93.5%, respectively, when performed by a gynecological oncologist or a gynecologist with a subspecialty in ultrasound diagnosis. Sampling of a pelvic mass had a lower adequacy (81.6%) compared with sampling of the omentum (93.9%) or carcinomatosis (91.5%). The accuracy was 97.5%, and the complication rate was 1.3%.Conclusion: The tru-cut biopsy is a safe and reliable diagnostic method with a high accuracy and a good adequacy, depending on the site of the tissue sample, indications for the biopsy and the experience of the operator. Keywords: tru-cut biopsy, gynecological malignancy, ultrasound, adequacy, accuracy

Computer Science - Cryptography and Security ,Computer Science - Human-Computer Interaction - Abstract
The security features of current digital services are mostly defined and dictated by the service provider (SP). A user can always decline to use a service whose terms do not fulfill the expected criteria, but in many cases, even a simple negotiation might result in a more satisfying outcome. This article aims at building nonrepudiable security service-level agreements (SSLAs) between a user and an SP. The proposed mechanism provides a means to describe security requirements and capabilities in different dimensions, from overall targets and risks to technical specifications, and it also helps in translating between the dimensions. A negotiation protocol and a decision algorithm are then used to let the parties agree on the security features used in the service. This article demonstrates the feasibility and usability of the mechanism by describing its usage scenario and proof-of-concept implementation and analyzes its nonrepudiability and security aspects., Comment: This is a preprint version of our article posted to IEEE Vehicular Technology Magazine

- Abstract
Energy distribution systems can improve in adaptiveness by applying the concepts of cyber-physical systems (CPS), cyber-physical enterprise, and service-oriented architecture. With these paradigms, the information and communications technology (ICT) systems can respond to changes in the requirements and conditions of the environment, improving responsiveness to the fluctuation of electricity production from renewable energy sources (RES). This paper analyzes the suitability of a CPS architecture for the electricity distribution system. The novelty comes from a service-oriented model where customers and microgrids can sell services to one another and operators, building added value on existing energy resources. The architecture is analyzed with a coordinated voltage control (CVC) use case. The results suggest that the architecture can open new possibilities in utilizing energy resources and enables a customer-driven, distributed scheme instead of the strict operator-centric hierarchy of the contemporary systems.

This article, titled "Tru-Cut Biopsy in Gynecological Cancer: Adequacy, Accuracy, Safety, and Clinical Applicability," presents the findings of a retrospective review of 328 tru-cut biopsies. The study aimed to assess the adequacy, accuracy, and safety of tru-cut biopsies in diagnosing primary tumors, metastases, and suspected recurrences in gynecological cancer. The results showed an overall adequacy of 86.3%, with higher rates when performed by a gynecological oncologist or a gynecologist with ultrasound diagnosis subspecialty. The accuracy was 97.5%, and the complication rate was 1.3%. The study concludes that tru-cut biopsy is a safe and reliable diagnostic method with high accuracy and good adequacy, depending on the site of the tissue sample, indications for the biopsy, and the operator's experience. - Abstract
Liver-generated plasma apolipoprotein E (apoE) does not enter the brain but nonetheless correlates with Alzheimer’s disease (AD) risk and AD biomarker levels. Carriers of APOEε4, the strongest genetic AD risk factor, exhibit lower plasma apoE and altered brain integrity already at mid-life versus non-APOEε4 carriers. Whether altered plasma liver-derived apoE or specifically an APOEε4 liver phenotype promotes neurodegeneration is unknown. Here we investigated the brains of Fah−/−, Rag2−/−, Il2rg−/−mice on the Non-Obese Diabetic (NOD) background (FRGN) with humanized-livers of an AD risk-associated APOEε4/ε4 versus an APOEε2/ε3 genotype. Reduced endogenous mouse apoE levels in the brains of APOEε4/ε4 liver mice were accompanied by various changes in markers of synaptic integrity, neuroinflammation and insulin signaling. Plasma apoE4 levels were associated with unfavorable changes in several of the assessed markers. These results propose a previously unexplored role of the liver in the APOEε4-associated risk of neurodegenerative disease.

VULVAR cancer ,SENTINEL lymph node biopsy ,SQUAMOUS cell carcinoma ,CANCER relapse - Abstract
Background In squamous cell vulvar cancer, sentinel node biopsy is accepted as standard treatment in well-defined patient groups and has reduced surgical morbidity considerably. Currently, due to the lack of evidence, it cannot be offered to patients with tumors of 4 cm diameter or greater or with multifocal tumors, or in local recurrences. Primary objective This study is primarily a pilot and feasibility trial, aiming to evaluate if the prerequisites concerning detection rate and negative predictive value are satisfactory before the implementation of a multinational trial. Study hypothesis Sentinel node biopsy has an acceptable negative predictive value and detection rate in the study cohort. Trial design This study is planned as a prospective, national, multicenter interventional trial. Participating patients will undergo a sentinel node biopsy in addition to an inguinofemoral lymphadenectomy. Inclusion and exclusion criteria Inclusion criteria: for women in group 1, a primary tumor =4 cm in diameter; in group 2, a multifocal primary tumor; in group 3, a local recurrence without previous inguinofemoral lymphadenectomy or radiation to the groins; in group 4, a local recurrence, with previous inguinofemoral lymphadenectomy and/or radiation to the groins. Primary endpoint The primary endpoints are the detection rate and the negative predictive value of the sentinel node procedure. Sample size In each of the four study arms, recruitment of 20-30 patients is planned. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

- Abstract
The ease of software development, maintenance, commissioning and reconfiguration is paramount in industrial systems, because these must be adaptable to changes in customer demand and the evolution of production assets. Such adaptations are a core motivator in the fourth industrial revolution. Additionally, software applications should be able to communicate over the logical and geographical borders of production plants, regardless of software platforms and vendors. However, these issues remains unaddressed in current software tools, although a solution is reachable with a proper software toolkit. As a solution, this article introduces such a toolkit to support the development of industrial software systems. The toolkit implements a communication stack with both a communication protocol and an information model. The long-term goal is to enable all communication in industrial plants with such a toolkit regardless of software products, vendors and platforms. Additionally, the toolkit provides auxiliary tools to help in the development of industrial software, such as services to provide historical data for simulation purposes. As an outcome, the toolkit provides insight about the development needs of industrial communications.

Women and girls are the most vulnerable proportion of refugee and displaced populations. In responding to their needs, it is important to understand the gender norms within countries of origin and their impact on how women and girls access skills, opportunities, and services differently. This article looks at innovative ways in which the humanitarian community can better address the specific needs of women and girls with the three-pronged goal of increasing services and opportunities, bridging gender gaps, and strengthening women's leadership in communities. - Abstract
To identify common alleles associated with different histotypes of epithelial ovarian cancer (EOC), we pooled data from multiple genome-wide genotyping projects totaling 25,509 EOC cases and 40,941 controls. We identified nine new susceptibility loci for different EOC histotypes: six for serous EOC histotypes (3q28, 4q32.3, 8q21.11, 10q24.33, 18q11.2 and 22q12.1), two for mucinous EOC (3q22.3 and 9q31.1) and one for endometrioid EOC (5q12.3). We then performed meta-analysis on the results for high-grade serous ovarian cancer with the results from analysis of 31,448 BRCA1 and BRCA2 mutation carriers, including 3,887 mutation carriers with EOC. This identified three additional susceptibility loci at 2q13, 8q24.1 and 12q24.31. Integrated analyses of genes and regulatory biofeatures at each locus predicted candidate susceptibility genes, including OBFC1, a new candidate susceptibility gene for low-grade and borderline serous EOC.
