Blockchain can be used to record transaction data and act as an encrypted and immutable digital history of anything from cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin and Ethereum. This paper introduces blockchain technology, standardization, and its relationship with cloud computing. Also, it provides the considerations for blockchain as a service as a new standard.

Cloud computing and related services, in combination with mobile computing, are becoming a major building block of new IT convergence. Therefore, cloud interoperability based service evaluation certification demands precise and professional requirements. This study presents the quality, interoperability, and security as three key areas of overall cloud services. It also presents a proposal to evaluate the quality and interoperability through an existing cloud service certification system considering practical convenience and reality in establishing the certification system.

Recently, text mining has risen as an advanced technology that analyzes meaningful trends and topics in document collections. Despite its increasing use in various research areas, there have not been previous studies using document collections of international standards. In this paper, we propose the Trend Analysis System for International Standards (TASIS), which automatically performs topic modeling and trend analysis on document collections of the International Telecommunication Union Telecommunication Standardization Sector (ITU-T) Recommendations, based on a latent dirichlet allocation (LDA) algorithm. For providing Web services, the TASIS performs topic modeling by exploiting user-defined parameters, such as the number of topics and iterations, and the results show a list of the documents that each keyword in the topic is included in. The TASIS also describes a TreeMap with the size of the extracted topic as a graphical expression for easier understanding.

Self-service technologies (SSTs) are becoming popular in mobile devices. Therefore, we examine the availability of mobile services with regard to wire-line device and user trust in these services as the moderating variables in order to determine the relative importance of the perceived usefulness (PU) and perceived ease of use (PEU) for users adopting new SSTs on mobile devices. We collected data from two distinctive mobile services: mobile banking and location-based (“finding my friend”) services in Korea. The findings of this study reveal that when new services are available with existing wire-line services, PEU is more important than PU in driving the adoption of new SSTs. In contrast, when mobile services are relatively brand new, PU is more important than PEU in the adoption of new SSTs. Further, trust in services does not significantly change the relative importance of PEU for users adopting mobile services that are available in wire-line devices, whereas user trust in services strengthens the influence of PU in their adoption of mobile services that are not available in wire-line devices. These findings can help explain the causal structure whereby SSTs are adopted on mobile devices. We also provide managerial guidance in order to promote the adoption as well as the use of SSTs.

Recently, cloud computing has become an important new technology for the dissemination of information and it has spread dramatically into the corporate field. In order to provide more stable and advanced services for the future, greater interoperability has become a target for developers. In this study, we focused on four key capabilities in the search for greater interoperability: scalability, universality, continuity, and specialty. Cloud computing can only be considered interoperable to the extent that it incorporates these four issues. Assessing these issues comprises the methodology we propose to verify the interoperability of cloud computing architecture. Also, in order to effectively assess and implement the methodology described in this paper, there must be a stringent and detailed process of preparation, with regards to full implementation and institutionalization.

Recently, various advance information in industry sectors address the importance of software’s which emphasized as a key capacity element of IT convergence in a diverse environments. Therefore, the necessity to enhance the availability of excellent software resources by making the database is also highlighted. Thus, this study aims to design the methods to establish a database for software resources effectively so that XML-based software information system schema can be designed and implemented, and the standard for software information system management can be developed.

The cloud computing is emerging in several ICT areas, including the mobile service industry. This development is knows as mobile cloud computing. Mobile cloud can be considered a kind of cloud computing with assistance computing for mobility such as location-awareness, computing capability, and data backup. This paper introduces an evolution of standardization for mobile cloud computing.

We propose a technique of localized selective voting of weak classifiers. This technique identifies local regions having similar characteristics and then uses the selective votes of each local expert to describe the relationship between the data characteristics and the target class. The algorithms that are locally used for building the ensemble are tested in the local set and if they have statistically worse accuracy than the most accurate algorithm, they do not participate to the final decision of the ensemble. Our experiment for several UCI datasets shows that the proposed combining method outperforms other combining methods we tried as well as any base classifier.

This study was done in order to solve the optimum place for integrated pulse oximeter in case of a belt around human chest or wrist so that it would provide reliable oxygen saturation (SpO2) readings for noninvasive constant health monitoring in modern wireless applications. In the study four spots on the wrist and on the chest were chosen and measurements from these spots were done by using a special device with an adjustable angle between light detector and the light sources. Then resulted signals were analyzed by calculating the average amplitude, normalized amplitude and signal-to-noise -ratio (SNR). Considerably clear signals were achieved both from wrist and chest and best resulted SNR was 2 7 dB from the chest. The highest normalized signal amplitude was detected from the wrist appearing as big as 5.9% of the total measured signal, which was relatively high compared to other values. Results were promising and showed that an easy portable monitoring device is possible but also many problems, that should be overcome, were detected.

In ubiquitous computing, clients should be able to use any kinds of services whenever and wherever they are. Service has the same quality without concerned with characteristics such as the status and location of services or devices. Because the characteristics are dynamically changed, a sub-network is difficult to reflect all the changes. So, there are various sub-networks. It is necessary to integrate communication between sub-networks with interoperability. For this reason, a system must support data transmission and conversion. It also has to indicate dynamic detection of the sub-network service by events and notifications. So, we introduced WSUN environment which is composed of US Broker, US registry and UniA for using universal service. This paper designs the DPWS Adaptor for providing universal service through operational scenario of DPWS.

In ubiquitous computing, client should be able to discovery and use any kind of services whenever and wherever they are. We need the service discovery protocol for realization of ubiquitous. This protocol must be reflex dynamic feature of ubiquitous such as service status and location. WS-Discovery, which support peer to peer environment, must find the service every time when the clients required the service. Also, this protocol only support the SOAP based protocol. This fact brings the problem that it does not support interoperability between sub-networks. To solve these problems, we apply the Universal Service Discovery Protocol. It supports any type of service discovery and interoperability between sub-networks. Also, this protocol reflects the features of ubiquitous.

Ubiquitous system provides web services which clients want irrespective of specific places and time. However, current services and devices supported by them are operated by different communication systems. To solve this problem, a system which can guarantee interoperability of services and devices is required. This paper introduces the UWS Broker, which is a middleware to discover services dynamically in ubiquitous environments. The UWS Broker, which is SOA oriented, is devised for different network based devices and services.

The WS-CDL (Web services choreography description language) from W3C facilitates the specification of rules to govern the ordering of message exchanges between Web services participants. The authors consider a computing environment where a mobile client interacts with a Web services provider according to a WS-CDL specification, and propose a framework through which the client can specify its preference on how conversation should take place. The presented framework allows for mobile clients to effectively cope with user and device mobility through providing a flexible means to reduce the number of exchanged messages without violating choreography requirement.

The popularity of Web services within the IT industry continues to grow as the next generation Web technologies. Recently the mobile industry has started to apply Web services technologies to expose and integrate the value it holds in the mobile domain. The Web services could bring new business opportunities with seamlessly integrating mobile devices and various Internet services. In this paper, we explain what are the consideration issues for adopting Web Services to mobile domain and we propose the proper architecture model and functions based on intermediaries for MWS.

Recently Web services choreography working group of W3C has published the working draft on WS-CDL (Web services choreography description language) version 1.0 which defines reusable common rules to govern the ordering of exchanged messages between Web services participants. This paper considers a computing environment where mobile clients are interacting with Web service providers based on a WS-CDL specification. In order to effectively cope with the user and device mobility of such an environment, in this paper we present an ongoing work to develop a framework through which a mobile client can specify its preference on how conversation should take place. The proposed framework provides a flexible means for mobile clients to minimize the number of message exchanges while allowing them to adhere to the required choreography

The mobile industry has started to apply Web services technologies to expose and integrate the value it holds in the mobile domain. The Web services bring an opportunity to lower integration costs between operators and content partners. And composite of Web services will be more and more important technology for effective automation of business to business collaborations. But, mobile Web services has some consideration issues for seamless service integration such as bandwidth and connectivity of wireless network, low computing power of mobile devices, etc. This paper explains the consideration issues of mobile Web services and proposes an efficient framework for mobile Web services that could support the composite services and improving the performance

To overcome the problems of current Web technology and to enable the intelligent Web services, the semantic Web was suggested, allowing the computer to understand and to exchange information freely between heterogeneous computer systems during the late 1990's. Recently, OIL, DAML, SHOE and RD(S) are introduced as the markup languages and meta data model of semantic Web. However, these markup languages have their own flaws and disadvantages for ontology modeling of semantic Web. This paper analyzes markup languages for the semantic Web that have been developed so far, and proposes OOML (improved object oriented markup language) for ontology modeling and effective implementation of the semantic Web. The suggested language fits not only to the ontology modeling but also to the distributed environment of heterogeneous system. It is also capable of solving frequently occurring conflicts in the distributed environment, thus enhances reusability and expandability of the ontology.

As the proliferation of the Internet, especially World Wide Web, numerous information resources have been constructed. The characteristics of information resources on the Internet are that the information resources are distributed, autonomous, and heterogeneous. Moreover each information resource has its own query method, data representation, and schema structure. The integration of information resources is one of the most important research issues in the Internet data management. The task of information resources integration system is to answer queries that require extracting and combining data from multiple information sources. In this paper, we propose are XML-based Mediation Framework (XMF) for integrating the Internet information resources.
